Charlotte Wills I’m still on it, I’m currently working from home because luckily a lot of my work can be done online. I finish in January but it would be great to have it extended obviously because I haven’t recently had the ‘full apprenticeship experience’ so maybe that could be an option after Jan
@@mollyjohnstone2867 Ah that's annoying, what office do you work at? Also where abouts have you relocated to? Do you still have to commute as I was looking at rent near my office and it's still quite expensive?
Charlotte Wills I work in central and definitely couldn’t afford to live there 😂 my commute is about 25-30mins which is really lucky

I wish america was more open to the concept of apprenticeships. We're pressured to go to college/uni and drown in debt

I've been applying for Apprenticeship programmes since September 2020 and had various Interviews and assessments. I've honestly applied to loads ranging from Civil service Apprenticeships to ones with HSBC. I've been offered a Nursing Degree Apprenticeship programme with the NHS and I'm really looking forward to that. I'm also very grateful for this opportunity. I applied for Visa's Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship and guess what? I didn't get the offer because of 1 question! Literally 1 question! The corporate world is brutal 😢

Adella Demou no we’re not associated with any universities so unfortunately not! Although our education provider before COVID held lots of socials and development sessions that were open to apprentices from different companies that you could meet. There also maintaining that great community virtually whilst we’re all in lockdown, so a similar experience to university societies.

Hi, around what time of the year do Google Apprenticeships get released? And where can i find them? As im not able to find any on the google careers website. Also, what Tech Apprenticeship options are there/do you recommend for someone whose not very tech savy (ie coding etc)?
I want to do the same apprenticeship but I don’t know what to study in college
I want to do a degree apprenticeship in construction management. I do psychology, business and English so it's kind of hard. I've applied to a redrow sponsored one, but they rejected me straight away. I can't find any and a levels are in 4 months and I don't want to go to uni😭 any tips? I really can't find any I've looked everywhere :(
This sounds like a tough situation! But it’s never too late, so don’t think you have to rush now, whilst doing your Alevels, to get where you want to be in the future. I’d recommend just trying your best at your a levels because good results will show that you can work hard. And it might be best to get work experience in construction management at a company which may better your chances for an apprenticeship or you might find it easier to go straight into a job? If you need a qualification for construction management I’m sure there are courses you can take after you’ve completed your a levels. I know it’s easier said than done but there’s not timeline of when you have to do things, so I’d try not to stress too much about it! Hope this helps :)

Yaminah A Hey! Although they’re equivalent to A levels it doesn’t restrict me from doing Level 3. I guess why I was happy with doing a Level 3 apprenticeship was because it was specialised in digital marketing, something I’d never learnt about during my A Levels. There’s people on my course that have a degree and are still doing level 3!

Aiman Akram definitely! That’s what I did, I would apply to both to keep your options open and when the time comes when you have to decide, then choose what’s best for you 🥰

Zey C hey! I actually found them first, WhiteHat partner with a number of companies to build a structured apprenticeship. So it’s not like some where you find the job separately to the course, it was all sorted when I applied!

Adubayo Khakiatton of course! The age limit is 24 so it doesn’t have to be straight after your a levels, but the applications have closed to start October this year unfortunately. But there will be more applications opening up for next year! WhiteHat are a company that provides your coursework and assessment that leads you to getting a level 3 qualification :) hope that helps!

No! If you look at the requirements it just says 5 gcses that's the one I'm currently taking but you do need very good knowledge on IT

i think you’d need to apply to move here (uk) and get equivalent qualifications, but you can definitely do it. my friend’s cousin moved here from croatia and was able to get an apprenticeship here but it did take a lot of work

rohit rathod There’s no specific UI/UX role at google, but I know they have an engineering apprenticeship role. The best route for you seeing as you have a clear idea of what you want to do might be work experience at a company?
How much was the commute? And what tickets did you use?
I can’t remember exact amounts, but it wasn’t cheap if I’m being honest! I bought an annual Oyster card, but as apprentices you can get a student discount which is amazing!

Nothing crazy! I worked in hospitality and retail from about 16-18years old, and included experience with developing website and social media pages (mostly my mums and friends! But I didn’t say that in my CV) and highlighting experience from school like volunteering to be a business tutor etc. I think anything that makes it look like you’re a self-starter and willing to learn will speak volumes

I am currently pursuing masters in a business analytics in B'ham and have bachelor's in a totally unrelated field. I'm seriously considering taking an apprentice program in London. I'm gonna need funding to support myself so I need to know if you got paid
@@kanishksingh5146 yes I got paid! It’s like a job so you still get holiday etc. The best paying ones are usually in London because of cost of living!

You can also apply if you have a student visa that allows you to work in the place you’re in .
Do they ask your your GCSE results certificate as proof? Or do they just ask you and take your word for it??
You usually have to prove your grades to work for a decent company.

Amina Masrour it’s good, enough for me to pay rent and live comfortably in London, so far anyway!
Can you go up from level 3 to like level 6/7 (degree apprenticeship) if you continue with them and also how are you finding it so far ?
Amina Masrour you can continue to do higher level apprenticeships after you get a level 3 qualification, but unfortunately the highest level for digital marketing is 3 right now, but I think they’re working on degree apprenticeships for offer in the future. I’m loving it so far, best decision I ever made! I’ve got an updated video coming hopefully tomorrow about my first few days.

Raed Radha it all happens together, so as long as you apply for an apprenticeship, they should have an idea and explain how the work and education works together!
