Uhh bro.. I'm a heavy metal guy. If it's not growling or heavy drums it ain't my thing lol. I will say this caught my eyes and I'm so glad I watched it. You yourself have such a beautiful voice. I think you presented this video extremely well. Thank you for introducing me to this!
Yame's musical influence must be partially French (old school singers: Aznavour, Leo Ferre etc...), but he also has deep Cameroonian roots, as his father was a professional musician from that country. Insane talent and very original too. Voix magnifique.
Africa never fails to amaze me😀. Makes me want to explore more Cameroonian artists..🇨🇲

Oh do you think French and his nationality? Well since Cameroon speaks French and their only influence other than their own would be French or France so you solved a real head scratcher.
Love love love this guy! The way he’s not scared to use his voice as an instrument & experiment with different ranges while making funny, laid back relaxing 🎶 *chefs kiss*
I'm always amaze how can you imitate those notes and runs! either low or high! please react to mariah if its over live at grammy, u probably love it, best grammy performance!
I love your videos because you like the stuff I like about music. The vocal acrobatics, the cadence, the way people play with their voice as an instrument. Haha a lot of times I don’t know what my favorite songs are actually talking about because that’s not why I like it 😂
Hi J! Glad you did this. I love this song and I don’t understand a word. I now understand how Michael Jackson’s non-English speaking fans felt. By the way he released an official video with English subtitles. I couldn’t keep up with all of them-they go by so fast. I didn’t bother to much anyway because I watched that Colors video a thousand times already. My 5 year old niece asks me to play it. She loves music too. I love everything you love J, about his singing, vocal play, and melodic delivery. That comes across no matter the language and I’m here for it. Thank J. Love your reviews 🎉
I love the operatic texture but he also heavily leans in to the African roots of Cameroonian sound. This was great. Your analysis always educate me. ❤❤❤
You're analysis of the song makes me want to go follow the artist now because at first it was just something beautiful to listen to but I was a singer now I appreciate it even more❤
Love love love this song. And if you've ever watched the official video he is riding his motorcycle and smoking... So that motion that you mentioned was him riding his bike and feeling free...
Such a great analysis! You match him so accurately! I'd love to hear you react to Jacob Banks, such an incredible, rich vocal depth. Also JNR Williams cover of What a Difference - again, a chilling, unique sound I think you'd appreciate better than most
Loved your input on this song . Yamé is definitively using breath sounds as part of his music in other songs of this amazing album . Check out call of Vahala !!
A couple more COLORS performances I think you’d enjoy: 1) Doechii - stressed 2) Charles Jeffery - devil in a dress 3) Saint Hairston - ego talkin 4) Greengtea Peng - downers
i dont even sing nor do majority of singers give me chills. but the first time i heard the french doods voice, i was captivated. shit is trans-universal to my ears and sounds intergalactic. i listent o music heavy and appreciate all voice types. but, i had neveer come across a voice like his: listening to French, German, Japanese, or american singers. i wanna hear more but i fell this might be it.
Love your content so much! Enjoy your analysis. Would absolutely love if you covered all of Jack Skellington's songs in Nightmare Before Christmas like you did with the muses from Disney's Hercules
I heard once, that the literal physical structure of a native french speakers pallet is shaped by their language. Like anyone who learned french after will always have an accent because their body didnt grow using the french language.
Funny you mentioned the bike because he’s singing about how riding his motorbike bring him freedom and gives him happiness.
He's actually singing about that and weed too🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@carmenedou5541 that too lol
😂 and? And did! 😂 gotta have your weed. Makes you think deeper. 😂
@@cynbad69or he speaks French, and understand what the artist is saying.

Same. I'm a metalhead but this track is fucking unbelievable and his vocal control is something to be commended.
Yame's musical influence must be partially French (old school singers: Aznavour, Leo Ferre etc...), but he also has deep Cameroonian roots, as his father was a professional musician from that country. Insane talent and very original too. Voix magnifique.
Thank you for adding that additional info! 🖤

Oh do you think French and his nationality? Well since Cameroon speaks French and their only influence other than their own would be French or France so you solved a real head scratcher.
Cameroon has more than its own culture and France
All the west of Africa influence each others ignorant
When I found out he was cameroonian like me ..I was so proud ..I can't even explain it
Jaron you matched his vocals on the chorus perfectly. You sir are a great vocalist and coach.
I didn't know what he or she was
Never saw someone describe vocals with that much precision, I'm impressed ! I speak french and I like your content and the positive energy
This was my first introduction to this artist......absolutely magnificent. 🔥
“You see what I’m saying”
Nope!….but I’m listening

Becane is one of my favorite tracks this year, then to have your analysis is the cherry on top.
i dont speak the language but the empathy i can hear through his voice and the lyrics make it beautiful, he conveys so much

I love the fact that you can recreate everything Yame does with your own vocals. Also you're cute. lol
Commenting to help bring more views, this analysis is such a treat. Its so beautiful to see someone know how to break something down professionally.

I heard once, that the literal physical structure of a native french speakers pallet is shaped by their language. Like anyone who learned french after will always have an accent because their body didnt grow using the french language.
who ever mixed his vocals put out his whole catalog of knowledge to get this smoothly working with that trap beat. RESPECT!
the mix is excellent but that performance is a mixing engineers dream. The beat is also excellent, textured and nuanced. Just an amazing song!
Dope song, love the video too. Not just the Colors performance
I'm so happy you are reviewing him. He is my artist for 2024
I have no idea what he says in any of his songs but the whole album is on my Playlist and dope as hell. It's just a vibe
