3:16 TIP1. Stay in north male atoll or south male atoll 3:26 TIP2. Ditch the "bungalow" 4:31 TIP3. Don't stay too long 5:18 TIP4. Use HOTELLOOk to search for hotels 6:36 TIP5. Take advantage of a stopover Excellent video!Thank for sharing.
Cool tips. I have been to the Maldives 5 times during the peak season of Feb and March, which is generally expensive but you can definitely get good deals even in high season. Yes I agree that it is better to do a stopover. Coming from the UK, we would normally stop at Doha, Abu Dhabi or Dubai for couple of nights - all those destinations will have direct flights to Maldives and to Seychelles
Best things 1. Avoid season trips Sept-March accommodation prices will up by 50%..depending on month. 2. Opt for all inclusive package...other wise u will pay 40$ for lite starters either...beverages will RIP u apart....damn costly..... 3.opt. for boat rides max. if u r the guy with some private dinners r lunch in mind sorry...in budget prog. u can't do that... 4. Try to involve in your own activities like getting around island r spending time at beach with some bottle..etc.., if u go for resort offering activities again u will b torn apart... 5. I don't say not to stay long bcoz u didn't travel that long to reach Male just to stay 2-3 days...u can stay upto 5 days more than that is up to choice... 6. Generally at beach environment appitite will increase means u end up eating a lot..paying a lot......this was a silent trick on Maldives resorts know u ask for more....
you can come to the Maldives during the off season if you are lucky you will get 3 to 4 days on the white sandy beaches when the sun is out.i am from the Maldives so trust me i know how life is here in the Tropical Paradise
Thank you for awesome and informative video ! A Professional video ! A big big love for the creative video thumbnail ! Maldives is a country of beautiful islands. The airport is on an island and main city (Male) is on another island. There are regular ferry service between airport island and main island. The hotel (Somerset Inn), we stayed, was very good in hospitality. It is very easy to change US dollars in the country, it is slightly not easy to change other currencies. Banks at airport at departure will only change the remaining Rufiyaa (which was exchanged during arrival). Streets in main city are very narrow. Bikes are mostly parked on the streets. The taxi can be hired for local transportation. To go to other islands, ferry service (which are relatively cheaper than private speed boats) can be used. Male island is highly populated but other islands do not have much of population. There are private island and private resorts as well.
thanks for the tips! I'm planning on going to a pretty good looking bungalow but want to save as much and dont want to also get bored... do u thini 4 nights is enough or you recommend more?
Love uh girl .!!! Hardly anyone told the truth the way uh told ...and giving us an Idea of stopover as well .!! This is what most of the youtubers miss in there videos .!!! Thanks a ton girl ...lots of love 😃
Not once did you mention people should get an all inclusive package with food and drinks unless you are a millionare. All food to the Maldives is imported so in some areas can pay up to $40 for a burger and a drink. If your staying for 3-4 nights it will cost around $500 for unlimited food/drink/alcohol. if you purchase it there will cost you double in some places
This is what I wanted to hear. im new to this channel I guess the limited options is for people who need a break, but I would personally expect more options for the price, some people with limited funds are gullible to go for this.
How many nights exactly would you recommend? I'm doing 2 nights, 3 days, 3rd day I plan to do in Male city since my flight is really late from Male. Also I'm glad I found your vid, before even watching it, I said I'll go to Dubai and Maldives and when I booked it I didn't know flight time was not long and usually do them both. Thank you
It looks like the best time to visit Maldives is February and March. You could say January to April is good. But other months seem to get a lot of rain.
The wet season is May until Late October. We always travel in these months because the prices are much lower. An example: We travel to the Maldives in September. Our total price with seaplane, all inclusive is £4700.00(GBP). If I book the same holiday in January the cost is £8923.00 (GBP). We have a few days with some fantastic thunderstorms but much of the time the sun is out, it's warm and relaxing.
I'm Suchithra from Sri Lanka. Thank you so much for uploading this video. Was very helpful as I'm a solo traveler. Could you please recommend me a resort that is cheap for a solo traveler like me to spend a couple of days? Have you been to Sri Lanka ?? If not, please come and I shall help you. I'm staying in Panadura (close by to Colombo) Happy traveling madam. Good luck !!
Good info girl. Question can one stay at Male hotel and visit some close by iSland Hotels for a day(fee) necessary or just consuming ? Like lunch? Any info of Male hotels prices. Beach in Male just fine? Is it? Thanks friend
Male does have a nice beach but not like the surrounding islands ... I don't think you would be able to visit a separate island / resort for the day. Male hotel prices are really cheap too! Its possible that some properties may let you come for the day for lunch or something but it would be too much of a tease :)
you do not need more than 6 nights there...you shoudl do the over water stay. One time in your life thing so do it ...only saves about $100 a night....so not a big deal ...speak clearly in your videos pls
NO you do not madam. You have a lisps when speak. And your tips are useless …..utter useless 1. Best way to save is combine Maldives trip with another country ie Sri lanka or kenya. You get much better flight deals. 2. Take all-inclusive deal… some hotel will throw in a free treatment. Anything free is good. 3. AirAsia from Kuala Lumpur….people can shop here so much electronics gadgets for dirt cheap and take them with you. Once you get home ebay them make some money back . also you get to experience another place Lasty if you do not want water villa why get a beach villa from a hotel?? use Airbnb there are luxury premium beach apartments all around Maldives ….and will cost about $1500- 18500 for 7 days and then you do not have 1. to take hotel transfer which is way over priced
Thilina Edirisinghe my spouse is a speech therapist so believe me when I tell you that she speaks just fine. Beyond your idiotic comment, what is your problem? She gave great advise for the benefit of everyone else and you slam her for something unrelated? Sounds like your mom forgot to teach you basic manners. I would guess the majority of people that see you on a daily basis probably get annoyed by you.

I like u and like your videos
You are so sweet.. If you are too rich.. do take me somewhere in world with you :)
Seems kind of boring. I mean the first day or two would be nice to relax but after that it's like, now what?
It's called vacation. The objective is to do nothing :-)
@@Appoldro To each their own. I like to do things on vacation, especially if I'm paying thousands of dollars.
