Adam…when I did my test I thought the brick test was harder than swimming 300 yards and treading for 2 mins. Swimming out to the point and diving down was easy…it was coming back without drinking a ton of water that made it harder…and I did pass. However, would carrying the brick lower (stomach) area vs upper (chest) area be better in keeping your face from lowering into the water?
I would stick to the chest/upper chest. Gives u more control and if u do breaststroke kick, It will keep ur head above the water level with each glide/push. U can play around with it and try lower and lean back more into a float, but u tend to go slower. May be a different case for u
