Can’t wait for the independent van converters to get their hands on the hybrid window vans. This new California has things that are not desirable. We have a three rear seat arrangement and the extra sliding door comes at the expense additional kitchen space. Independent converters can select skinny cupboards to improve the size of the double bed. The Reimo bed in our van takes 5 seconds to go from seat to bed arrangement and I can’t ever remember a time in the last seven years where I wished to sit looking out of the back tailgate! Our next van will have the electric roof and electric latching of the sliding door and tailgate. LED headlights are a must have, we love the auto gearbox and the 4 wheel drive gets us out of pretty much every “sticky” situation. Looking forward to the hybrid powertrain as well for better economy.
There's a Facebook Group called "Eurovan Enthusiasts" that would LOVE VW to import and sell the T7 "California Concept" (ironic name) in the states, but no word from VW yet ? it's all hush hush, and it sucks because of some regulations with "chicken tax" ? or poor sales ? the only model available in the states is the T 4 ? at least 20 years old !!....are we living in a third world country ? or Cuba ? this is ridiculous... come on VW make our day !! ....happy 420 !!
@@davidlee6055 VW didn't listen to their customer base. T6.1 fans will struggle to accept bling in place of practicality. It's hard to know where to start with this except to ask VW to keep the T6.1 going while they sort this out properly.
WHY WHY WHY isn't it coming to the US!!. The new ID Buzz has short all electric range. Small, expensive, and although it can convert to a camper it's not practical and way too expensive once converted. I've lost interested like a lot of people in the Buzz because VW has been teasing this thing for almost 20 years and it just never came. Now it's coming and it simply isn't worth all the hype. Bring us the T7 !!
Heavy on the marketing b/s, light on the practicalities. Interesting comments on mileage, who needs 50k on battery and then 1.9 litres per 100k 😳 did I hear wrong ? Sounds like a miracle 🥹
I would love to see one of these for a wheelchair user adapted to internal transfer. It looks amazing if I win the lottery I will definitely buy one.

It looks like the ID Buzz but bigger, more practical and a hybrid.
They should release these in the US.
bring it to the US

So what’s the point of this video if not available in the US? Add insult to injury calling it “California” when I’m a native son.
Love it,how much ?
