Speech clarity in noise, Volume buttons on the physical hearing aids, ability to use disposable batteries, and connectivity are my biggest priorities when looking into hearing aids. I’ve been wearing them 23 years.
My wife has used phonak hearing aids for 10 years about three months ago she upgraded to the new Phonak infinity sphere level 70 used with an iPhone XR. She has had constant disconnects with Bluetooth. She has used this iPhone XR with all of her phonak, hearing aids with no issues. At first it appeared to be an Apple problem with iOS 17.1 18. one was supposed to fix it 18.1.1 still hasn’t fixed it. It’s not as bad as it was but it’s almost daily.
Wearing Oticon Intent minirites. Streaming music while walking is excellent with molded earpieces. Wish tap to talk to answer calls would work on my Android though. Not interested in step counting and other features. But music quality is very important to me.
I wear Signia’s Stiletto 7X. But I’d love to see an ITE rechargeable with Bluetooth. Was a WIDEX user for 16 years, and loved it. Had to move to Signia but would love to see WIDEX come up with the rechargeable Bluetooth ITE with a remote control to change programs and volume. I hate to pull the phone to do environment adjustments when I’m in a theatre, at a restaurant table, or in a live conversation.
Matthew, you make the best review of hearing aids I‘ve ever seen! Thank you very much! I‘m from Germany and have Phonak Luna Selectic. Pretty old, isn‘t? That is the reason why I started to watch several videos around available heaing aids technology development. My conclusion is, I fully agree with you, the new Phonak product line is currently the best you can get on the market, but very, very expensive… Nevertheless, my next will be the Phonak, because of it excellent connectivity (capabilty to be connected with several gadgets and to join to the Teams meetings etc.) and great technology based on ERA chip. Bigger size is not disturbing for me, whom first hearing aid experience started in 1982. What is about the high cost? Investment is unique, the joy of it - every day!
I am wearing Oticon More. I have tinnitus and for me it is important I am not busy with my hearing. Oticon is great in automatically adjusting to different situations without noticing is. Also Iphone ready is important for me.Automatically connecting to all my Apple devices.
Oticon real for my sudden hearing loss that happened in my left ear 2.5 years ago. I have perfect hearing up to 2000hz, then 70db at 4000hz, 90 db at 6000hz and 90 db at 8000hz. It works very well.
I am trying the Phonak Infinio 90 (not sphere since True Hearing won't support them.) I'm thinking of going to Phonak Lumity for telecoil feature. What do you think?
I'm currently trialing Lumity 90's, upgrading from Audéo B312's, and this'll be my 3rd set of Phonaks. I don't find all the extra features really work as advertised, would I be better off looking at a lower model Infinio?
@@HearingTracker I hear so much about the sphere's but they're still a bit on the pricey and bulky side. Any advice for the Infinio 50's? (Is LE Audeo worth having vs not having Stereozoom 2.0? So many considerations.) And thanks Matthew for all your concise reviews!
Mine are phonak very good from the nhs I had for year half it just started to fail and the down volume don't work no more so I turn it down with the app bluetooth is a god send for calls and tv
Absolutely do not want my health monitored by my hearing aids. Please tell manufacturers to work on clarity and noise reduction so that I can hear every syllable people want to relate to me whether they are 5 or 85 years old!!
Currently wearing Phonak P90s. They make most music sound horrible to me. Will likely switch to Oticon Intent/Philips 9050 for next pair of aids, but would like it if their Bluetooth connection had a better reputation. Does anyone complain about the sound quality with respect to music for their Phonak Infinio Spheres?
Speech clarity in noise should be a priority in hearing aid manufacturing. Health features are not a priority as it is a waste of time and of resources that can hold back the advancement of speech clarity.
I am wearing the Unitron Blue, which is basically the phonak paradise from 4 years ago. I will be getting new hearing aids this year and Phonak will be number 1 on the list as Oticon is a Apple specific brand from what I tried 4 years ago, and you give up too much of the good things to go with Oticon, and from what we have in Alberta Canada, Oticon dealers only deal with Oticon and nothing else. Don't believe me, just try to get them to bring in another brand. They WILL NOT and tell you that no one is ever happy with something else.
"LAST A FULL DAY" is not very specific. Is it an 8-12hr work day OR working a double shift = 16hr OR from arising at 6am to retiring at midnight = 18hr??? For me "a full day" is from getting up to going to bed, however long that day lasts.
I am currently trialling a pair of Infinio Sphere v90s. I wear them from the time I get up - around 07:00 - until I go to bed around midnight. So far, my Spheres have not gone below 45% charge after 17 hours on consistently. However, I rarely stream music or audio, which I’ve read depletes the battery. Therefore, if you do a lot of streaming it might be different.
I have health features on my Garmin watch and my Samsung watch, so do NOT need/want them on hearing aids. Would rather the work on getting ALL new features included on disposable battery hearing aids (13 size batteries, NOT the smaller 312 size...looking at you, Phonak Lumity).
Thanks for the forecast! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
What I want in my hearing aid is improvement in hearing in loud environments and clarity. Same as most all hearing aid users have wanted for years. The fact that HA mfgs tout blue tooth, health features and other features, and do not/cannot fix these two main points just shows the limits to HA technology in those two vital areas. So mfg's try to sell you on non-essential stuff. Not too different from used cars salesmen. Total b.s.
Why do most of your viewers wear Phonak? Is it because UK has government run hearing healthcare and the largest distributor is owned by the same company that owns Phonak? This would imply that it has nothing to do with the technology, which is the claimed topic of the video.
lol. What? Nice try… A. Your statements are just wrong. B. 7% of my viewers are based in the UK, and at the other end of the spectrum 50% are in the US. What do you make of that? Matthew
@@HearingTracker interesting. I Don't make much of it. That was just the first aspect that came to mind. I just stumbled upon your videos. Good stuff and I'll be subscribing.
Disappointed because everything you talk about is apparently based on what the manufacturers say, not your experience or that of your patients. What people need is someone doing independent analyses that hopefully get past the hype of the manufacturers which is naturally going to be biased.

All these high-tech processors, AI, streaming, ect, is absolutely worthless if the hearing aids sound like over processed, ultra high definition crap. I’m waiting for someone to develop a true analog sounding hearing aid with the ability for the end user to make a full range of EQ adjustments.

Great video and info Matthew. I have had Phonak Audeo Life P-90s for the last 4 years. I'll be upgrading to the Phonak Infinnio Sphere. Thanks

What is your opinion of Starkey Edge?
I have them and are doing fine. I don't think they get as much love as Phonak.
@@jeffj318 Why not? What is the biggest drawback why they would not get as much love as the Phonak Sphere?
Using Phonak Spheres. Was previously using Signia. My Phonak is so much better.
