- Ed & Dave get to grips with lining and edging the pond. Disaster strikes however as one of the water storage holding tanks collapses part way through filling, leaving a rather grumpy Ed to deal with the clean up😂

Certainly did Norman!

You never finished your personal pond build series. From the ending of this video it appears it is gorgeous.
Am nearly there- hence a little peak on this recent video, but still not completely finished yet! Hopefully I’ll have it done soon and can send out the final completion video!
Thanks for watching and commenting!

An small intex easy set Intex pool will serve the same as the onion tank at a fraction of the cost.
That’s great advice! For me such pools aren’t made of a heavy enough duty material- my tanks are used regularly and lugged in and out of my van- but for an occasionally user/one off use such paddling pools would be perfect!

Hi Ed, love the videos and pond updates and glad you mentioned cloverleaf a few videos back. It's something I've used for years however i just put it in as and when we have algea. Im just asking for some advice as We've just made our pond bigger with new liner and clean fresh water, I was wondering that as the pond has been clear all summer when would the best time be to put a dose of cloverleaf in as you advised about three times a year. Thank you. Julie and Martin
Hi Julie,
Thanks for watching and commenting! In general I’d recommend the addition of blanket answer during spring, summer and late autumn, although every pond is different and some may require more, or less treatment doses to prevent blanket weed. I would recommend the use of this treatment as a preventative- so use even if you don’t have algae issues- or administer a dose as soon as the first signs of macro algae are forming on the sides of the pond to nip it in the bud early. It’s not something that can be overdosed on so more frequent doses aren’t an issue! It’s worth pointing out however that the addition of algae in a wildlife pond is not an issue- could be considered desirable even, so only treat or prevent blanketweed if its become a nuisance for you.
Best,
Ed
This one looks like it's going to be amazing! Natural all the way! Can't wait to see the progress 👍
Just a quick one though Ed if you don't mind me asking... on one of your previous videos, you stated that the Oase Screenmatic had gone under some tweaks/had a revision again?
I remember you mentioning about the foams being more submerged and a few other things? Do you have a link to these changes as I can't find anything online. Or if not, explain them again to me.?
Thanks for your time and your channel gets better and better!
Alex
Hey Alex, as ever thanks for watching, commenting and your kind words! Email me (info@crystalclearaquatics.co.uk) your email address or mobile number and I’ll ping you across some pdf plans of the revised filter I received direct from oase.

Ed
Thanks!
Thank you so much once again Tony for your tremendous generosity!

Love the pond work but my partner wants to see Dave with his shirt off in the pond
Ha ha! Thanks and I’ll let him know😉

Do you ever build ponds without using a liner, eg. Fibreglass or render coated with G40 etc
Hi there, good question! I’ve worked on jobs that have involved large ponds being fibreglassed , repaired old concreted ponds and re-sealed using resins such as G4 and have created smaller features and sumps using G4, but in general for the type of pond I like to build a flexible rubber liner is just a better material for me and works so well, with minimal work required in maintaining the overall integrity of the pond or feature for a considerable length of time (25/30 years plus when installed correctly).

Hi have you finished your pond yet
Umm…. That would be a no….! Nearly there but not quite complete yet!
