It’s produced at Indesit’s old Turkish factory which has since been sold to Beko. Part of the deal of the sale was that Beko would make fridges for them (to Indesit’s spec/design, so they’re not exactly rebranded Beko units).

There is a switch for the freezer by the temp control switch I know this because it was accidently turned off when a can was pushed against it and the freezer thawed out

Hi, can you help please? I'm finding the instructions for the 'i' & 'o' switch confusing. Is the 'i' on when it's pushed in or when it's raised up please? I also don't understand why the instructions say this (fast freeze) should be on in winter (when temperatures are below 16°c)
I had indesit fridge freezer, for no reason stop working not cooling, defrost itself and stop working coming out with noise of watching machine, what can I do?
It will be a case of switching off the unit and letting the ice build up defrost. When the ice has all gone, you will be able to switch the unit back on again to get cold.
We got ours brand new yesterday... It seems to be quite noisy? In terms of its buzzing away in the background... Much noisier than our last fridge even though its advertised as a quiet fridge. Have you found this?
It sounds like some of the food is touching the back wall of the fridge. This is common and you will get water on the shelves. The other thing to look out for is to make sure the hole at the back of the fridge is not blocked. If it is then you can get water on the shelves too.
I recently purchased, cannot find a happy medium on temperature of the fridge. It either freezes across the back or runs water dripping on to the shelves.
@@blobby273 Do you have the fast freeze switch on (rocker switch next to the dial in fridge)? That’s only to be turned on when the room temperature is below 7 degrees c, like if you keep it in a garage.
Hello. Thanks for the video, could you advise me about what number is best to have the fridge setting on please.also could you tell me what the little green tab is for on the back of the fridge please. Kind regards. Mark..
I would normally recommend starting on 3 and going from there. The green tab at the back is to stop any debris falling into the hole. Keep it in place but don't push it all the way down as this is where the water can drain to the compressor.
Hi, is it easy enough to reverse the doors as I will need the hinges on the left. From the video I can't see the pre drilled holes for the hinges for swapping to the other side, thanks
It is simple to do, there are small indentations in the unit that make it easy to line everything up properly. We would normally recommend reversing the door before you start to use it, as it is easier to lie it down or lean it back.
Hi. Thanks for the video. I have had one of these fridge freezers for just under a year. The fridge part works fine but I have had trouble with really serious ice build up on the outside of the freezer drawers. Do you have any advice please? Also I have broken two of the freezer drawer fronts when trying to open the iced up drawers. Can you advise where I can buy replacements please. Many thanks. Cliff
That's a shame to hear about your experience with the fridge freezer. We normally point customers in the direction of places like Ebay to get new drawers as there are normally a lot of sellers on there with the drawers. As far as the ice build up, it sounds like the seal around the freezer door may not be sealing the door properly. I would recommend getting a warm damp cloth and wiping it around the freezer door seal. This way it may loosen it and hopefully it will seal the door better for you and reduce any future ice build up.
They aren't degrees unfortunately, it is just a gauge to work on. I would normally recommend putting it in the middle to start with and get a fridge thermometer in the fridge. Try and keep the fridge around 2 - 4 degrees C which may involve changing the control inside the fridge to suit.
@@LukeM1986 This switch has been a mystery to me for the year I've had this fridge freezer. As you say, it's definitely not on/off and I can't figure out what it is for.
Could you look again into this switch please? There's no mention of it in the information supplied. It is a tiny rocker switch with 0/1 on it, inside the fridge underneath the temperature control you demonstrated in the video. Thank you
@@happydays3678 I can't say for sure but I'm wondering if it's a fast freeze. It's not the best fridge freezer for me to be honest. The fridge gets far too cold and freezes things. The freezer isn't cold enough. Flicking this switch on seems to improve the freezing.
Indesit? YOU IN DE SH*T, mon. House I bought a couple of years ago had a fitted kitchen with Indeshit fridge; the freezer didn't freeze anything when winter temperature went to 0 degree Celsius. or less.

It will be a case of switching off the unit and letting the ice build up defrost. When the ice has all gone, you will be able to switch the unit back on again to get cold.

Is it important to put eggs in the fridge? I thought you only needed to keep eggs in the fridge if they been pasteurised?
In Europe you don't need to put eggs in the fridge as they're, as you say, pasteurised.

You don’t have separate control over freezer temperature. Freezer is at frozen temperature and that’s it.

What is the green plastic piece in the fridge part for on the back wall, and is 3 a good setting to have it at
3 should be fine as a setting. The green part stops any food debris going down the hole at the back of the fridge.
So it should be tight rather than loose inside the hole??
Where is the plug located
As you look at it from the front, it is at the bottom on the right hand side at the back.
