- In two separate parts of the UK, local communities are up in arms over the establishment of migrant centres in their areas.
In Llanelli, Wales, residents are protesting against the transformation of a beloved four-star hotel into a housing facility for migrants.
Meanwhile, in Bexhill, Sussex, locals are voicing their concerns about a derelict prison being renovated into a centre for over 1,000 asylum seekers.
Both communities argue that their infrastructure is ill-equipped to handle the influx of new residents and that they were not consulted by the government. On on the hotel website it doesn't say the hotel is closed, it allows you to search for rooms, but every possible date and room selection it results with "There are no available rooms for the selected dates and/or guests. Please change your search criteria." I feel so sorry for the locals there imagine that, having 240 bored migrants in your town, waiting for freebies.
The migrants haven't arrived yet but others do pop up around the county in smaller B&Bs.

When the nearest well known hotel chain stopped taking bookings and took the government pound to house lots of immigrants,the local Facebook page stopped any opinion that was anti immigration or questioned them being housed . One question people aren't asking is how can these people just be sacked, my understanding is to sack or make someone redundant means going through a load of procedures first, is this being done? I know of companies who have been taken to court for non-compliance and been fined (in some cases) thousands of pounds.
