Holy mother of God. Tekken 8 came out, and I am SO FREAKING HAPPY WITH IT! The game is leaps and bound infinitely better than Tekken 7, especially the story mode which has TEKKEN FORCE MY FAVORITE MODE IS FINALLY BACK AS TEKKEN MUSOU AIOEFBSGIOSGJISONFOSJGODIG
Can't wait for the DLC that add the mode officially!
And of course who can forget the AMAZING way they decided to finish the entire game at the end. Every damn music in that final battle are so damn hype & fantastic, I had to make a mix of some. So without further ado, here's the second one!
The perfect way for the final battle to end, with the main theme of the game, now in its full complete form & not the short intro version. And it's very much taking notes from Tekken 7's amazing Heat Haze Shadow final battle theme, only with a dash of Metal Gear Rising. And yes, someone already made a mix of em as I found out

I am glad people have noticed that My Last Stand is basically a hopeful spin on Heat Haze
Things like this makes me wish i discovered Tekken in its infancy, because I can tell this game is a Tekken love letter to Tekken fans made by people who genually love Tekken as much as the fans loves it.
I mean c'mon, you gonna pull out a moveset from 27 years ago and mix it with modern control just as a fuckin throwback and its doesn't feel half-baked whatsoever.

yeah dude. I played the first tekken when it came out on the original playstation sometime in the late 90s. I don't have t8 yet but watching the story mode's conclusion jumpstarted my desire to live. I haven't worked out so hard in decades.
Seeing Jin's blue spark stuff reminded me of t4, his df1 into dash was in t3, the jun counters were so fooken godlike.
Been a fan since Tekken 2, in the arcades. This series makes me weep with emotion.

Its insane to think how Heat Haze Shadow is sooo good that you can literally replace "My Last Stand" and it will still be awesome in the final boss fight. Heat Haze Shadow is just one of the best TEKKEN OSTs

still better Tekken 5 dragon nest music than this. but I also like it.
I feel like the transitions early on are too abrupt, their beats are similar and that ties them together, makes it feel like they are parts of the same song, but I think those parts of each song didn't flow into each other in this mix.
We have the build up of heat haze shadow, that leads into last stand's first verse, and then the build up of that, that leads into the first verse of heat haze shadow, and so on, and because we are familiar with both of these songs, it feels like a switch up, rather than one thing leading into the other, and that feels "frustrating", I mean it's not really frustrating, it's just a song, that's just the best way I can think of describing it because we are expecting one thing and getting something else, and that frustrates our expectation and makes us have to adapt to the change.
This is just my opinion, but I think it would be ideal to let heat haze shadow do its own thing, do its build up and emotional pay off, and then take advantage of a lull to eventually transition into my last stand, and continue with its fusion of the beat and melody of both songs, that aspect was pretty seamless.
