He is gliding down the ocean swells. These foils are so efficient when the ride down a swell it is like a skateboard going down a hill. And once you have some momentum you can keep linking up all the swells.
@@Wevergreen474828263 Some people actually use them on rivers by tying a rope to something and the water that flows under the board is enough to generate life. You could probably google to find a video of it in action. Look up the crew in Hawaii and elsewhere who do the downwinders on Foils and you'll see how as long as there is some waves or swells you can ride forever
Since you've been so responsive to the other comments, and since I am pretty curious to try this up buzzards bay... How do you get up on the foil in the first place? Boat or jetski? Can you get it with some hard paddling?
Ha no worries - always happy to answer questions :) Yes on a board this small you have to get a tow up behind a jet ski or boat. However on a longer board like a 6 foot plus and maybe 95 litres or more you can use a SUP paddle to paddle up onto the foil and then catch the swells.
That looks awesome and it's got to be a blast
So much fun indeed!
So it is a one way trip, i.e. going down wind wind with the swells?

@@FoilTycoon So could you ride a strong tidal current? If the tide was coming in I could start way out and just keep riding it back towards shore?
