The ending of this episode with the teddy bear reveal has resulted in polarised opinions from many viewers. My take is that with humanity being hunted down by these robotic dogs, all they had left was the ability to _be human._ The ability to feel empathy and compassion towards each other, which is something a robot can't do. So much so that 3 of them were prepared to risk their lives to try and bring comfort to a dying child. Once humankind loses it's humanity, what are they living for?
This guy gets it! Lol. I immediately got that once they showed the bears and it was such a huge kick in the gut for me to realize that they went through all that hell just to try to bring comfort to a dying child during its last days alive. :'(
4:12 In all the I-don't-know-how-many reaction videos I've watched, it's never occurred to me that you still have to watch the stuff you hide from later when you edit. Hilarious.
Thank you for helping me makes sense of this episode. Watching this episode was like watching a foreign film without subtitles. I didn't understand any of the characters or how the world got this way.
They've already been approved for Season 5, unsurprisingly. I'll enjoy the day when the British decide to put more than 6 episodes into a god damn season.
My take on this episode is that some sort of apocalyptic event took place, but these guard dogs don't understand that. They were originally guard dogs and meant to protect and monitor merchandise etc and they are continuing this function even though it doesn't need to anymore but its not sentient and doesn't understand that.
When someone gives you a hard time about what, when and how you should react to things, you should make them send you a video of them reacting to your reactions to you reacting to a show and then you can critique them. In the immortal words of Supergirl/Billie Jean "Fair is Fair"......
My take on it is they used to be guard dogs and protected merchandise. Some sort of apocalyptic event took place but the dogs still think life is normal and they're just doing their intended functions
Apparently if people created dogs, they would be just as faithful and resilient, and have just as many innate abilities to find you. Only instead of jumping on you and licking you when they tracked you down, they would pulverize a vital organ.
You should watch "Dead Set" if you're a lose end waiting for S5. A five episode mini-series by the creator/lead writer of Black Mirror with a very similar to tone to this show but one long story over the five episodes.
You guys ever seen those videos of Boston Dynamics where they are kicking around the "robotic dogs" to show off how smart it is and how quickly it can regain its balance? ruclips.net/video/4PaTWufUqqU/видео.html Yeeeaaaaah, I see this episode as the eventual result of that treatment. Lol. That over time, those robots learned to hate humans because of those kicks and now all those robots do is hunt down and kill humans.
Hi, this was the shortest episode of the series! I thought it was okay, Black Mirror has been renewed for another season which is great, have you thought about reacting to Altered Carbon ? :)
Now those are dogs are with anger issues. But for not making you think? These are just drones with the humans taken out of the loop. - and Google own the company that makes these things ancestor: ruclips.net/video/RYzn_gmFs5w/видео.html
At least they're owned by Google and not General Dynamics or Rathyeon or someone - that's better. Right? At least if Google's server go to war, the enemy will most likely be Amazon's cloud with us fleshbags mere bystanders (or collateral damage).
For the child? Youre assuming medicine was a) available to them and b) whatever they had was treatable. Maybe he or she had some kind of aggressive cancer, would make sense to try and let them enjoy their final days.

Nice view point
Still dying for teddy bear is nuts

If your out getting supplies in dangerous areas you need weapons. They appear to not have any plans on what to do if the mechanical dogs showed up
@@thewrongshoes if they're in a place like England it be hard to find weapons
Daryl would hunt down a teddy bear for Judith on TWD. :-) After the apocalypse. the simplest things become the most precious.
I've served Maxine Peake (the actress in this) a few times at the pub i work at, she's ace
I'm not european
what does someone being ace mean
It's the same as calling someone "cool".
Ace = #1

Solar powered killer drones, for when your generals feel that landmines aren't horrific enough.
They do have a robot dog made by Boston Robotics, it’s called Spot. So yeah twilight moment here

I love how they used the music from "The Shining" - really suited this episode!

I laughed out loud when the robot grabbed the knife. Too funny.
Black Mirror season 5 just been recommissioned.
Boston Dynamics needs to be shut down before they create these things.
Military already making them I'm sure.
This episode it is, at the same time, so dope and so underrated, it's very different from the others episodes, but is so Great overall
a puppy that jess doesnt want to hug lol
for me the best episode ever...
Amazon went through some crazy lengths to protect their merchandise.
5:00 “uuuh” Are you rooting for the robot dog 🤖?
Can't wait for the reaction to the last episode. One of my favorites of the whole show
looks like ‘Men Against Fire’ worst case scenario gone awry

NetFlix already greenlit a 5th Season. (just a few days ago, actually).
But we don't know when it'll drop.
Rise of the machines!
How did the world get like this? Amazon got STRICT! :D
Nah, google owns the company that invented those dogs...

Love your reaction 💕
Bad dog! ....Bad Wolf??? ;-)

Watch 'The end of the F***ing world'. Stars Alex Lawther, you should recognise him.
Cool episode
I always knew Boston Dynamics were up to no good!
I know you're really going to like the next episode Black Museum to me, that an Archangel are the best ones of the season
Now those are dogs are with anger issues. But for not making you think? These are just drones with the humans taken out of the loop. - and Google own the company that makes these things ancestor: ruclips.net/video/RYzn_gmFs5w/видео.html
Good ol' Boston Dynamics. The real life version of Skynet. :-)
At least they're owned by Google and not General Dynamics or Rathyeon or someone - that's better. Right? At least if Google's server go to war, the enemy will most likely be Amazon's cloud with us fleshbags mere bystanders (or collateral damage).
I feel like they are rebels and the dogs are sent by some government to kill them
So they went to hunt out some teddy bears knowing that killer mechanical dogs might be around and they didn't even have guns? Stupid
They were going to be terminated eventually anyway. Might as well do something good with your last days
- - - - For a Teddy Bear!!! Come ON!!!!! That's where this episode lost me.
Scott Boswell it must have been for a sick or dying child judging by what was said at the start.
I got that, but to risk all they did for a stuffed toy, instead of medicine that could have saved them, was a poor story choice for me.
For the child? Youre assuming medicine was a) available to them and b) whatever they had was treatable. Maybe he or she had some kind of aggressive cancer, would make sense to try and let them enjoy their final days.
are we sure its just a teddy bear? the next epp raises some questions for me
Pretty sure that's the poetic point. They're looking for hope and comfort. And the monster that's cutting them down is a perversion of a dog.
Least favorite episode by far, felt like a shitty student film lol
Too many plotholes and stupid decisions for me to enjoy this episode :/
