Doctor Who has been disputed. I am waiting to hear back and will give it until the end of today before attempting to upload again. The problem is BBC sited a large portion of the reaction (it wasn't the song) so I have no clue what to cut in order to re-upload and ensure it won't be blocked again. Please don't spam this comment section. Thanks Lovelies!! :) Black Mirror Lovelies.....this episode was fucking nuts! I'm loving this season so much!
I was about to become one of the spam XD. I should I have watch it earlier, eventhough it was midnight T-T Oh well, Thanks, Jess! Looking forward for that reaction! Edit: I'm sorry... I want to show respect, cause you're older than me, so I wrote 'Mrs Jess' earlier... but there's that U.S. custom where that term can be use for last name... that's why I thought it was weird when I use Mrs Jess XD... P.S. not a native speaker, but knows english very well, just not very detail...
Same curiosity here, maybe the limit of accumulated total of minutes in viewing the scenes of the episode caused the bbc to block it I dunno I'm just hypothesizing here.... copyright documents usually vary and are extremely specific.... Hoping for the best to happen 💕
Doctor Who Archives it has happened mannyyy times before, but it's been a good few months since the last one, it happened predominantly through season 5.
This was actually my favorite episode of this season. It was super dark and disturbing, but the acting was so good and watching this woman descend into madness and unravel trying to save her own ass was very compelling. Ultimately, the same tech that got the family killed (or at least propelled/facilitated the actions of a person) is also what allowed the authorities to catch the killer. Brilliant portrayal of how technology can be a blessing and a curse. And I loved that she didn't even consider the guinea pig as a threat. She completely missed that and didn't get away with her crimes because of it. Glad for that.
@@justinrc1692 lol what about the whole system they use to extract the memories from the Ginea pig, is it scientifically accurate? U dnt seem to have a problem with that tho.
Translation before she get killed " from Allah we're coming from , and to Allah we shall return " that part really got me and tears coming out from my eyes ,😢😢
Guys. What "Black Mirror" is telling you, tech is not a problem, the problem is like always humans, we can control technology to a certain point, but sooner or later, it will be abused, by a human
It's not the tech, it's the handling of the tech. Law enforcement or some form of security should always be present in the event you are recalling people's memories to that degree. That would've nullified the murder of her and her family. I mean seriously it should naturally be anticipated that with something like this you'll at some point uncover very dark and even criminal memories with some people
They say the first kill is the hardest and then the rest are nothing. I bet Mia wasn’t feeling shit by the time she took out the baby. Ugh! Also, now that I think about it, that insurance job should totally require you to have a weapon just in case your interviewee is guilty and attacks you!
Tbf she was only interviewing her as a witness but yes, you never know what the monitor will reveal so there should always be one or two other person beside her atleast..
One of the craziest episodes of Black Mirror. 3:31-3:45 you figured out the end of the episode without realizing it. I was heartbroken by the deaths of the insurance woman and her family. I had no idea the episode was going to go THAT dark.
I'm glad you liked this one - it doesn't seem to have been so popular with some other reactors, but I thought it was good if very grim. I thought the slightly weird contrast between British characters and Icelandic locations worked well too, to create an odd, alternate reality sort of atmosphere.
This episode is a perfect representation of how sneaky evil can be sometimes. We all think all decisions give you 2 clearly marked paths. Good and Evil, but evil creeps up on you and seems like it's the ONLY way out. So you take it, and as you take it, you dig yourself in deeper and deeper into situations only greater evil can get you out of. Marvelous!
This episode ruined me, it’s arguably my favorite episode of the series. You can see the ending coming when the insurance angle begins. It’s like the perfect predictable slow burning dread and it’s pulled off with such efficiency. I honestly don’t get why this episode is considered weak, I love and the main actress is fantastic
But can we talk about how she killed everyone thinking there would be no witnesses meanwhile the hamster cracks the case! 🐹 Best plot twist I've seen in the show actually
Andrea Riseborough quite formidably played one of the most haunting villainesses I have ever seen. Especially after she so easily managed to subdue and kill a bigger man in an unarmed struggle.
Saw this years ago, but probably didn’t actually watch. How could she overpower a man? The blonde, stick lady must have supernatural powers. It’s quite ridiculous, considering he wasn’t under the influence of anything. She managed to kill him with her bare hands, lift him into the car, and drag him to the final destination where she disposed of his body….all by herself. He must have weighed so much more, in comparison to her.
Totally agree with what you said at the end with technology having an effect on the sympathy/empathy of people, particularly on social media. I liked this story, it really unnerved me but not to the extent where it was unwatchable, but I was completely shook at her killing the baby, that made me feel quite sick tbh. Looking forward to the next episode, it's my favourite of the season I think!
I always wondered why Mia agreed to the recall for the insurance lady. Seems like she’d have been better off refusing and dealing with that fallout instead.
A lot of ppl didn't like this one but it's one of my favorites! Also, I was actually sort of pitying the woman even after her first kill. Watching her become a systematic, ruthless killer though, was just horrifying. I read that the episode title refers to crocodile tears, as in they're fake or for show.
You know, this episode wasn't as disturbing as that scene from American Psycho Patrick Bateman stomps a dog to the death In here, the baby's death was at least off screen
Hi Sesskasay, love watching your reaction to these episodes, pretty much in tune with mine. ( I'm sure the writer Charlie Brooker has seen your upload aswell). You said there wasn't a surprise ending. I thought it was a great twist that she killed the baby not knowing it was born blind and couldn't have witnessed the murder by that 'recall memory device', the big twist for me was that the hampster witnessed it, and they managed to get the memory recall from the hampster.. that's how I read it anyhoo. Another brilliant episode.
Anyone can report a murder, the only legal wrangle I foresee (based on today's protocols) is whether they could use a memory as evidence, but they wouldn't have to so long as they have a suspect they can then investigate them and possibly turn up more evidence. No smoke without fire and all that and the memory is the smoke.
Valeria Naranjo Cruz I was thinkin' the same thing! It's pretty caked on. She doesn't respond to comments anyway. That is one reason I don't subscribe to her channel.
Of all the black mirror episodes this one pissed me off the most. That girl got too lucky too many times to not get caught or her plan to not work out. She damn near only ways 80 pounds soak and wet and yet can carry bodies all over the place men and women. I know she got caught and all but it really frustrated me.
This episode was badly harmed by casting. The lead's acting was great but she's physically much too small to have accomplished any of the killings except the toddler. There's suspension of disbelief, but this is ridiculous.
A good episode but it again suffers from a complete lack of subtlety in the ending, which is always Black Mirror’s down fall. This brain scanning technology results in utter mayhem but the narrative demands that the technology also be the villain’s down fall so…we scan the brain of the overlooked hamster to catch her! They expect the audience to accept that a fucking hamster has the cognitive capacity to store a detailed human face in long term memory and recall it. The ending is a goofy ass joke amidst an incredibly serious and haunting episode. Complete train-wreck ending.
@@starlite5154 I'm not a writer so it doesn't matter what I would have done. It isn't relevant to the criticism. Maybe they should have scanned the brain of the recently deceased husband. That ridiculous suggestion is still more plausible than retrieving the woman's face from the memory of a Guinea Pig.
@@Joey_Fury yea fair but idk it seemed like a good enough ending to me. i think if it was up to me id make it another animal like a cat or something, or i could also make it so that she doesn't go through with killing the baby even if that lessens the impact a bit. maybe she'd kill the animal to make it more impactful again idk

what dawned on me the most after watching this is one ugly truth. If it wasn´t for the technology, that whole family wouldn´t have been killed
But it was also the technology that allowed them to catch the killer. That's the cautionary tale of technology. It can be a blessing and a curse.
True...the tech isn't really "to blame." But it did facilitate the actions taken by a person.
ZombieMom73 "That's the cautionary tale of technology." Nice way to summarize the whole premise of Black Mirror honestly..

If she didn’t fully cooperate, then Police get involved, as she was a witness to an accident.

the buf twist was the police found it was from the memories from the hamster that saw the whole thing happen,,,she should have killed it too ..

Cause more deaths? She was gonna find em and kill with or without that technology.

I don't understand why the killer wouldn't just look up if someone can report a murder looking through someone's memories.

You be surprise how a body reacts when that adrenaline kicks in. No matter how light weight a person is.
The showrunners choose a woman instead of a man as the bad guy to create a more disturbing feeling of a mother killing to keep her way of life.
Why would you remind me of that The Americans scene??! Oh good lord
I never understood how she killed the dude in the beginning. By pushing hard enough?
