The first 6 mins are a very BEGINNER FRIENDLY step by step explanation of frame rate and making time remapping keyframes. If you guys would like to skip to the transition building part skip to 6:00. I wanted to really take the time to explain the basics so people of all skill levels could fully comprehend!
awesome tutorial i personally use vegas software and try to mimic ur tutorials with my knowledge and some other references with sony vegas we would use velocity as our time remapping but theres actually a really nice feature(when it works) in vegas which is a slow motion plug in that if u manipulate the play back with keyframes and change position/scale to simulate a camera jitter effect u end up with the same result regardless you and many other youtubers have made me a much better editor thanks :))
Excellent video bro. Regarding of the slow mo in 1:58 I prefer to use wth a 60 or 120fps footage, reiterpret footage to 24fps in the bin, before use it in TL. Works better. Of course if you use Twixtor Pro, this is not needed. I liked this video a lot!
I was watching deadpool right now and they used this same effect in the fight scene in the beginning when he is at the Japanese bath house. It's a constant"one shot" with the same effect. Never noticed till I watched this tutorial. Pretty dioe if you ask me. 🤘
I dont know if this will matter to you, but you are the best channel when it comes to Adobe Premiere Pro and AFTER effects. The products you offer online are clutch and after looking for answers to so many question before coming finding this site, i was lost. This site is paramount to what I do. So, salute. Thanks for everything.
Damn, this a really difficult to understand topic for a newbie like me. I'm glad you took the time tho to really spell it out and show your own personal processes with it. Definitely will take lots of practice to really feel solid with tho.
hey max, great Video - i have one question: so you actually slowdown the clips / reinterpret footage in PP before replacing it with an AE Composition to speedramp?
Thanks for sharing this Max, huge fan here!! I am still finding a need of improvement in this area for After Effects. I always use Twixtor for the ramps because I find it better to know the EXACT values of slo/fast speed ramps. I think that with this technique one can mess with keyframes so easy. It is hard to explain in comments, but every time you move keyframes you are changing the speed section from the head or tail keyframe to the area of interest. Would love to express my struggle live to show my point.
Why would you do this in AF, all of the same things can be done in premiere. I am just asking, not trying to sound like an ass hole. I want to know if it different some how.

10x easier and more flexible
its easier to do in ae imo, I also mentioned the premiere worklow at the end
In AE you can play better with keyframe animation. This is key to smooth ramps.
imagine if max made fortnite edits 👀
Bro your face cam as choppy as hell
Too complex. Too many unneeded layers to explain the concepts.
