The difference between Brunson and Haliburton is that Brunson is better at reading the game and giving his team what it needs. If someone else is hot Brunson will happily feed them and let them do their thing. If they fall behind and others are not hitting their shots he will start forcing the issue and score himself. Right now with everyone out he is carrying the offense. Haliburton seems more like a front runner. When the Pacers as a whole are playing well and the ball is moving he plays well. If the Pacers are struggling I don't see him putting the team on his back and carrying them very often.

I think the wording was bad but I think the issue he’s pointing to in Game 5 is that players that were not even getting minutes in the first round (Burkes, Precious) are outplaying the Pacers starting 5 for stretches in the last game.
That is unacceptable if you’re the Pacers.

I think it's just their way of saying 'they have no big name players' other than Brunson

pretend the name on the back of jalen brunson's jersey was "iverson" and they would automatically be seen as contenders

"NY doesn't have many quality basketball players" I guess clinching the second seed and beating a star led team like the Sixers was just luck? GTFO.

Can you please stop that „quality players“ (aka talent) BS ???
That was the misconception during the 76ers series already.
What Josh Hart does takes talent ! Basketball talent !!!
What Isiah Hartenstein does takes talent ! Basketball talent !!!
    etc etc etc
Nobody ever said „Kobe Bryant JUST worked harder“ or „LeBron is JUST more disciplined“ . NO ! It s part of their talent, that enables them to do it. If everybody could do it, then they would do it.
So, saying „the guys JUST gotta play harder and rebound better“ is laughable. The Knicks worked on that everyday for more than a year and have the players with these talents to do it. You can‘t JUST do what they do overnight, just like nobody could practice as obsessive as Kobe etc.
NO WAY do the Pacers have higher quality players or more of them. That is a lie.
Did Dennis Rodman have less basketball talent than Klay Thompson, just because Rodman brought other qualities to the table ? I d say no and i love Klay Thompson
So please NBA media heads, stop these backhanded compliments and this nonsense of „the Knicks JUST play harder (but actually aren‘t really good)“.
The Knicks are extremely well drilled when it comes to rotations on defense. It was a masterclass in Game 5 in that regards and they have a lot of talent on the roster. That doesn‘t mean Indiana can‘t win. They are a young team with a very good coach and a good future ahead of them. Anything can happen in sport, BUT they are not better basketball players than the Knicks players

Yep, that’s all they have is effort. Brunson, Divo, Deuce, etc. have no talent. FOH

You can’t force a defender on Jalen Brunson. He will manipulate the defense and get any matchup he wants
