I love this as a little change of pace! My sister in law and her husband bought an entire house and contents. It was full..FULL of everything vintage. From a brand new 50’s electric shaver in the box to those awesome chrome table and chairs. Even the furnace in the house was suspected to be original. They had a plumber come check it out and it fired right up. This was a few years ago, and now they have their own vintage store. Pretty amazing profits to be made!
@@theoffgridskoolie 😂 I don't have room in my van! But someone will see the vision! Plant gorgeous flowers in the tank and bowl, graffiti the base = Portland Yard Art 💯
I’m retired and split my year between my home state and daughter’s land in southern Colorado. I’m about to get a Skoolie and have been trying to think of an income. I used to buy stuff from thrift shops and resell on EBay when I was in graduate school. This would be so much fun to go garage saling and thrift store shopping while traveling and sell when I go to my home state. Thanks for the inspiration. I’ll follow the folks you mentioned also
Yeah, and you could create content on what you find and generate a revenue from that as well. In terms of towing, Roadmaster has been awesome for me. You just have to make sure your vehicle can be towed and practice towing in an empty lot. Once you get used to it, it's no problem at all.
Wow Chris, when I saw that box of Stamping Up stamps I about had a cow!!! I would've loved to have gotten that deal. I make greeting cards and scrapbook. You did great!
Sold on eBay years ago, started in 1999. It took so long back then, just getting images from camera to computer and uploaded could take an hour, listing procedures were quite archaic :) anyway, this caught my eye because my husband had the EXACT wrangler shirt when we were first married, I believe I sold it at a garage sale , also for a $1 😅
Loved this video. As I was watching I was prepping my items to sell on eBay. It’s funny that you mentioned the Commonwealth Picker because he lives in my city in Virginia!!
Good luck with your ventures. I’m more interested in your bus to camper conversions. I’m just never a garage saler. At my age (62) you just want to keep walking!! Blessings to you guys!!
Hey chris, I will need a power station pretty soon. But they are very expensive from what I've seen. I'm going to start building on my bus within the next month or two.
I need one power station. I've been looking just moved to fl past March got hit hurricane I need one I can run at home dialysis machine that I use it keep as back I couldn't even get hotel from Tampa to up into GA trying to find power. We stayed in parking lot at gas station near a car wash that I could use a long cord to plug into. I looked on Instagram but I don't really know how to do Instagram...I thought I asked you about power stations while back seeing how you ran all that on your bus I asking what you kind you thought would ruin that. It no heating element so it I was told it like running a box fan... please if you get one in the future or have one let me know. Safe travels this winter... y'all homestead is beautiful and coming long.
Hope you have an inventory system that includes SKU numbers. Good luck I'm about to start the reselling game myself. Hope it scratches my shopping itch and put money back in my pocket. 😊
I have debated on doing a rest stop type warehouse for my family and friends doing the RV/van/bus life thing where they can hook up and dump sewer, wash clothing and even fix up their rigs before hitting the road again.
I'm looking for an automatic car wash that will fit a high roof sprinter van with solar and AC on top 😂 I can't stand washing my van. So if you can make that happen, I'll move near you 😂🎉
@@LiveLaughLeaveBB Probably not doable with all the equipment people install up there, but having side scaffolding going some 8 feet in the air with the sort of extended wands they use at car washes would make the job a lot less painful.
You been to i27 world longest yard sale... That's a good time I like to take the country roads go to old farm houses that have stuff for sale you will find so much great stuff. THAT BE KEWL VIDEO. HAPPY HUNTING
Those bedside lamps are worth bank. Antique.
Yeah, I screwed up there. Another one of those swans I didn't pick up goes for $80!
We were thinking about you during departure!! Glad you made it out okay!
Yep, made it out fine! I hope all is well guys.

That's so cool, you don't find deals like that often!
Thank you for doing this, I learned a lot.
Fascinating!!! And so resourceful! I've never been to a garage sale but it sounds wild to me that things there sell for $1?!!!
Glad you liked it!
Hey Chris - new exciting things going on with you. I wish you every success and loads of fun in your new venture 💙🦋
Thank you!
This was a fascinating video, good for u being proactive to make a little cash on the side. Every penny counts. 🤑

I’m your neighbor here in Colorado, I’m sure you know the garage sales here in Spring and Summer are great!
Yeah, I've had some good picks there!
Sounds like you have a plan. Good luck.
Killer deal on Cutco sets! Lifetime warranty and free sharpening!
Nice, I had no idea!

I found this interesting.
Great Video Chris . Love n Hugs Always From Your Friend In Michigan Tam ❤️ ♥️ 💕
Always appreciate your support!
People pay good $$ for the silver plate flatware for jewelry making. Depends on the pattern of course.
We've been nomadic since 2020. Making a living reselling on eBay. 🙌
Nice! Do you film it?

@@theoffgridskoolie no, not yet. He hits the yard/garage sales pretty hard in our area :)
My brother actually did this n made really good money doing it . Good Luck Chris. I Love Garage Sales ❤
Yeah, it's been great. I've made about 1.2k profit in the last two weeks.
Hope you have a great trip in Kansas. Don't work too hard.
Can ya put your ebay link in your description area 😊
Yep, it's towards the bottom :-)

Check out buying storage lockers you can sell whats good and have a retail store for the rest of the stuff...
Yeah, I see those and they are tempting. I just don't have the storage for it :-)

I’m about to buy a Skoolie and want to tow my Forester. I’m finding mixed information about towing with a bus. What can you tell me.
Don’t do instagram but looking for power station after two hurricanes.
My email is chris@theoffgridskoolie.com :-)
I would love to see what you have for the sizzit
finding things would be fun but the ebay selling side would just stress me out!
Yeah, it's not the best. I kinda have the mindset that I could get scammed on any of it.
dude! That set of CUTCO would go between 1500 and $2000 easy
Yeah, it was a killer find!
What is the price you have for the Portable power stations for sale
I'm selling them pretty cheap to subscribers!
Did you make power seller status
Nope, just a little guy at this point.

What is your ebay shop?

Love ya, but it is too much work for me
It’s a lot of work, but I love it!
What if you just wanted it for your personal collection? Are you kidding me? How much are you asking?
I can't hold onto too much stuff. It's crazy how much those shirts sell for!
What’s your user name on eBay ?
It's in the description of the video :-)
