It changed a lot in the last 20 years. The square in Porto (at 17 min) is not that green anymore. And unfortunately i've never been on a UTD 0600 train. Now second-hand Spanish trains do the job on the Douro Line. And the branch line are all closed. Very sad :( I hope they will stop the construction of the Tua dam.
Thanks for those comments. There has been a sad decline in the railways of Portugal since I first visited in 1992. I loved most of the diesel types and such a shame the narrow gauge has virtually gone. I was always a bit disappointed when 0600 DMU turned up instead of a 1400 diesel
Tua dam does NOT influence the operation of tua line, the IP/REFER did elevate the line to a higher altitude, and this is possible, if you know some about civil engineering. Thanks From a Civil Enginner student in Faculty of Enginnering of University of Porto (FEUP) and a future minister of transport, who knows
Thanks so much for sharing this, I only ever did these lines on the railcar but thankfully I did!!
Comboios: Linhas do Tua e do Côrgo (desactivadas) e Linha do Minho. Autocarros e trolley's: Baixa do Porto. Os trolley's já não existem.

They are sadly. I managed the Tua line to Braganca 1990 and the line to Amarante the same year. Ambas boas aventuras (Both Good Adventures)
