    I thoroughly enjoy your videos! I watched another one from you today that convinced me to "take the plunge" I truly hope I don't have the dust issue that seemed to be prevalent with the lx100. I don't care about , selfies, weather proof (at least not for this camera) or video. I just want a compact powerhouse with a sensor larger than a 1inch sensor. (nothing wrong with them but not what I want) Thank you for your straight forward honesty!

    You can change the way the iA button works by turning on the "press and hold" option rather than single press. This pretty much eliminates accidental activation. Better to be able to re-assign :-(

      I'd say yes, but of course it depends on how much you really want to shoot. One RAW file is about 20 Mb and a 10 second 4k 25p movie clip is about 130 Mb. I'm using 64 Gb card on my LX100II.

    I own the previous version and it's a great camera. It's not meant to be a pro camera, but a pro could easily use it in a jam. For the average person this camera is almost all they need. It would be perfect if only the bokeh was better for portraits.

    Dear Matti, I have been following your fantastic tutorials and loving your honest reviews. I love the Panasonic cameras in general, but more so in relation to the Bridge and compact areas. I already own FZ1000 and LX10. I was thinking of upgrading, and I wonder if your practical opinion about the Panasonic Lumix LX100 Mark II. Also, what do you think of the FZ1000 in comparison to the Sony RX10 IV, in relation to quality and versatility? I am more into travel and street photography, and I would like your honest (as usual!) opinions about these, and if there are better alternatives out there which can deliver better quality as well as controls?
    Of Course, I welcome any of the other viewers' contributions. Thanks

      Thanks for those kind words.
      About the LX100II. If you are happy with the zoom reach, it's a very good camera and the IQ is better than on the smaller sensor cameras like the FZ1000 or LX10.
      I have not used the Sony RX10IV, so I can't really say anything about it, but of course Sony, in general, makes very nice cameras too.

      One last thing, has Panasonic, in your opinion, made another compact camera at the same level (or above) and format as the LX100 II, considering that this one was manufactured 2018, and how do you think this LX100 II is future-proof for the moment?. Thanks again

    • @mattisulanto
      @mattisulanto  4 года назад +1

      @@aramgrg There is no other Lumix compact like the LX100II. If you are a photographer, what is there to future proof? I'd say the only thing, that could make the LX100II no suitable for you, is that your own requirements change for whatever reason.

      The lens has a 43mm filter thread, so you can attach either a filter or a step up ring, if you can't find 43mm filter. However, you may have to remove the filter before you power off the camera before the lens retracts.

    Hi I really need some help and advice please. I would like to buy a compact camera with a good zoom, good video, picture quality, touch screen if possible, anti shake as I have a small tremor and RA in my hands but I really would like to buy one and finally take nice photos of birds, family so fast moving, and would like to photo water that looks like foggy/steamy if you know what I mean. I am a pensioner (in my 70s so a young pensioner), so cannot afford a lot. I bought an Olympus Pen 10 camera just before the pandemic but then we could not go out. But trying it on birds in the garden and horses in the field where I lived, I realised with these hands not a good idea to have to keep changing lens. Could you please point me in the right direction please. I live in Uk. Many thanks.

I was looking at the Lumix LX100 11 but not sure about the quality of the photos and video also the zoom, the Sony HX99 but not sure about the same again and also stabilisation, and the Canon SX740 HS.
