    You may be losing viewers due to how the voice over was done either deliberately or by accident. Audio cuts in and out, example first drop out mid-sentence is at 1:52 and returns at roughly 5:02. You may want to re-upload a corrected version. May also be RUclips servers. (Other videos work fine).

    18:45 - great tutorial Amr! A few questions for you:
    1) When do you use the ProOptimizer modifier and when do you use the Optimizer modifier?
    2) What are your thoughts on using instancing?
    3) What strategies are you using to minimize cull count?
    4) Have you tried combining meshes in 3ds Max? I think I've seen a performance boost when static objects are all a singular model, though yes, its still useful to separate things out by category as you've done.

      And I asked about the instancing because I've actually found that I've been using instancing too often-- it's actually increased the drawcalls too much and I've had to spend more time combining meshes.

    It is more of a 3DMax video. When you got to the "3dMax to Unity" part, it fast forwards. I have no idea what you did. Isn't that the whole reason for the video?

    Thanks, great vid! Would love to have sound all the way, but still.. Im doing an assertment on Revit to VR (just started) and I have a rookie question. Is it really worth doing that much texturing in 3Ds Max, or could I import just simple (building) geometry in Unity and then create the environment with details there?
    Question to iBrews, what is cull count? :-)

    Anyone know if the recently released Oculus Rift Consumer Edition CV1 is compatible with Unity 5 Pro ? Reading the Unity docs all that I can find is that the DK2 dev kit is supported but the DK1 has problems. There is no concrete evidence there that the CV1 is supported in Unity.

      +Dave Dogge yes, Unity is actually the first game engaine the rift ran on and it will continue. if you just go to the unity page you can see the CV1 there

      yeah thanks man both Oculus Rift and Unity 3D confirmed that CV1 is compatible.. question is will my order for it ever get shipped !
