The Nanoleaf Smart Switch looks like a game-changer for smart homes! Love how it combines motion sensors with sleek design for easy control. Can’t wait to try it out!
Got one on the way to try it out. I would love if they made a simpler version. The sensors and everything are nice but sometimes just a dimmer remote is all I want
I was really excited for this switch, but am bummed that it doesn’t support the Essentials thread lights yet. I’ve got several of those bulbs and lightstrips in the room I want to use this in, so it really can’t live up to its full potential yet.
@ You can’t add Essential thread bulbs or strips to the control group. And their website says they aren’t supported either: “*Support for Nanoleaf 4D and Nanoleaf Essentials Thread Homekit Bulbs & Lightstrips is coming soon.”
Hey does anyone know how i can turn off de move sensor by the switch manuel not via app ? In the app it shows to hold the on/off button for 2 sec but it doesnt work propperly ? Someone with the same issue?
I’ve seen non smart light bulbs with PIR sensors in them, I can’t remember the brand / details. You can also do the same with the light switch if that’s inside the closet. Personally I use a door sensor with a smart bulb or switch for my closets.
@@EricWelanderI think Sengled makes or at least made a smart bulb with a PIR motion sensor built into the bulb, but it is smart so needs to connect to WiFi/smartphone. What this guy is looking for I don’t think exists in terms of just the bulb, but Lutron makes a bunch of motion switches that aren’t smart/separate from their Caseta line which are great assuming your light switch location for the closet is actually inside the walk-in closet.
Interesting idea. I haven’t tried since it’s mostly meant to be in Nanoleaf. But you could automate based on the Nanoleaf-controlled lights turning on/off and then adjusting other things via Apple Home or Home Assistant.
This product is a sham. A light switch that only works with certain company lights is the crime here. RUclipsrs and reviewers should be dumping on the greed nanoleaf has explored - even the fact Eric had to BUY more products to review this light switch is horrible. Nanoleal is starting a bad trend here…

Agreed. I have 8 Essentials bulbs and would have liked a switch to control them. Guess I'll have to wait.
It does support threads light, just not HomeKit lights

It does. Look for an update of your bulbs to software version 4.1.3 .
@@jjadragnaHow can i update? I don’t see it anywhere…

I wish SOMEONE would invent a closet bulb that is triggered on when opening the door. I don’t need anything connected to my phone for a closet.

IKEA do one, let me see if I can find a link!

So this could work with govee light strip pro. Because of matter?
In the future maybe, but I will believe it when I see it. Think of this more as a Nanoleaf-first product
Wonder if you can get this into home assistant

@@EricWelander Yup that’s precisely why I want one.
