👍🏻 Purchased a Glock 43X a few weeks ago and didn't like the trigger. Purchased and installed a different connector and trigger safety plunger and spring. Went to the range and shot over 100 rounds. Trigger was eating my finger up so after getting back home, disassembled the handgun, checked the components, cleaned and reassembled. Everything seemed to be okay. Racked the slide and trigger would not reset. Racked it several more times and trigger still failed to reset. Took the slide off and looked at the trigger assembly and it appeared to be okay. Frustrated I went on line to see what I may have done. Watched this video, and after you first talked about seeing or not seeing all the serial numbers, stopped the video, got my handgun out of the safe, took off the slide, looked at the trigger assembly and saw the problem. You're a life saver. Thanks bud
Just had that problem after putting it back together. Thanks for making a one minute video when some guys would turn it into 20. Back to Glock perfection.
Thanks a lot man. I’d been looking at forums trying to fix the reset (used gun I’d never stripped) and everyone seemed to be jumping to conclusions and going way beyond this. This was thankfully the simplest and most likely fix.
Thank you so much. Every other video is ten minutes long and talks about other problems (such as the trigger spring). This was the problem with my 43x, and I’m SO GLAD I finally found out what was wrong with the trigger. That’s worth a like and a sub!
Thank you for this video. I was going crazy trying to figure out why my Glock was having issues. After placing the parts in the configuration you showed, everything started working perfectly again. This was the exact fix I needed. Thank you!
Thanks for the video!! While I figured it out from a blog post, I REALLY wish I had seen this. Had this issue after installing Ghost connector in my G42. Since I've installed the Ghost connector in my G19 and G23, I 'assumed' it was a similar install. Obviously, the spring on the G19 and G23, etc. connect the two rear parts of the trigger (externally). The G42 and G43 spring tension is on the 'cross' edge pointing toward the front of the firearm. I used a dental pick to lift the spring up and then wiggled the 'cross' edge under the spring latch. All better now.
golferwithguns yeah I’ve even watched a few videos on RUclips where it’s installed incorrectly. Cracks me up every time because they always have the same face I had when my trigger didn’t reset 😆
I have a polymer80 and just got my upper receiver in. After I installed it, I knew something was fuck’n wrong. Just finished reassembling it and every thing cycles fine.
I had a serious issue with the trigger reset on my glock 45 mos Gen 5 today at the range . I want to thank you for this video because that what you showed was my exact problem and I never would've found this problem without finding this video. Thanks again!!!!✌️ #2a
I have a brand new gen 5 19 and had a reset fail 3 times today. I didn't know and still don't know why. I came home and took it apart everything looked fine. I have 5 numbers showing and there is no more room for the crucifix to in anymore.
Bro.... thank you for this video. I installed the ghost edge connector on my g48. All other videos over look this small step. I was going crazy. Thanks
Thanks to your video, you saved me a lot of hassle.Thank you! I was about to go to the gunsmith, or back to Glock for this issue. Thanks to this video, it took me 20 minutes to fix the issue. I know this is an old video. But thank you. 🎉
Great video, you are the man. I missed this, but when I did what you showed me, problem fixed. Thanks for caring and posting the video. I need my Glock to work properly because the Zombies are coming.
Pardner... you jus fixed my problem... I actually shot upwards of 200 rounds at the range with this problem after installing a Siderlock (that requires a complete trigger removal to install, hence reinstalled with this issue) ... the 43 would reset but ONLY with your finger on the trigger such as when firing... would not reset by just cycling the slide... it shot 100 per cent at the range with no failures... when i got the weapon home and cleaned it i noticed, after first watching your video then removing the slide on another Glock, the obvious problem... thanx... 😉...
Levi Eastridge no problem! Mine had this issue for a few weeks before I found the solution. So I completely understand the reason behind wanting to get rid of it at first
Thanks! Mine was not assembled correctly after having some cerakote done. It was a bit challenging to figure out exactly how to get it all to come out and go back in, but knowing what was wrong was 99% of the battle!
Thank you! I was going crazy! I have two matching 42x’s and they both were incorrect. (I screwed them both up) but one did was resetting fine and the other was not. This was a huge help!!!
You sir, are a genius! I was going crazy trying to figure out what I broke after changing the connector. I was going to send it to Glock to unf@@k what i did. Thank you!
TradeFeedz lol yeah I was slick freaking out at first too. Then I noticed other people were having the same issue after reinstalling the trigger so I figured it was a user error and not an equipment error. Glad I could help!
Question bro.....i had some intermittent trigger reset fails after about 200 rounds on my G43x. When i disassembled it i could see the 4 numbers and only some of the 5th number.....is that bad?
I can’t really say. Maybe try installing the stock trigger connector if you have the ghost installed or the ghost if you have a stock connector installed and see if there is a different on the placement of the numbers. The 43x is a little bit different but I don’t think the trigger setup is.
Well that was blatantly obvious thanks for pointing out an issue that doesn’t exist unless you’re doing something wrong how about helping those of us who are having issues with our triggers that are absolutely perfectly fine and look 100% perfect but will not reset because there’s No tension pulling the trigger back toward its original position once it’s been pulled!
Sounds like you may have a defect that needs to be sent back to Glock. Glock should be able to be repair or warranty your weapon if deemed faulty. 🤷🏿♂️ Most that have watch this video were able to correct the issue after watching. This issue is definitely not blatantly obvious, especially when you have installation videos on RUclips that don’t point out this small but crustal detail. I’ve even seen top recommended 43 trigger install videos on RUclips done incorrectly. Which is part of the reason many are having the trigger reset issue with these weapons after following these botched tutorials.
@@kyngtroup Glock 42 or 43? Also if everything is put back together correctly and it’s still not working then I would definitely take the ghost connector out and go back to factory. If that works fine then it’s definitely a faulty connector.
MCSPT117 is it the 43 or the 42? Try completely disassembling the trigger and putting it back together one more time. Just make sure the trigger spring barring is over that serial number. If that’s not working something may be damaged and you should have glock or a gunsmith look at your weapon.
Breezy Bleu Make sure the trigger is put back together properly. Then when you get to the trigger spring baring, install it as shown in the video. Over the serial number not under it.

Took my barrel off put it back on now triggers won’t reset

Thank you sir. this is what youtube should be, quick to the point and informative
omar hernandez No probably. Exactly how I like instructional videos also. Quick and to the point.

Thx. Crazy how there are still videos of people installing it wrong too.
It worked, thank you. Now I owe Taran Butler an apology for everything I was thinking for about 5 minutes.

Lifesaver. Ty. Not one of the G42 connector swap videos that I saw mentioned this crucial step.
Thank you! This resolved my trigger reset problem.

Thank you. This solved my issue, I thought it was my aftermarket trigger that was the issue
ben bullaro I thought it was my ghost edge when I first had the issue
First video I saw. Found out how to fix it easily! Thanks for this. Much appreciated!

Fixed glock 43 trigger reset problem.
How ? By placing the trigger bar far forward? Shaving some off the end ?
So i have to buy a new ghost connector ?
No. Disassemble & then reassemble your trigger. Just make sure it’s put back together the way I advised in the video.
@@Hetoo0ld I disassembled it n put it bxk together still doin the same

@@Hetoo0ld ok thank you for your help i just ordered a factory connector I’ll let you know how it goes
What trigger shoe is that?
Agency Arms Glock 43 / 43X / 48 Flat-Faced Aluminum Trigger & Bar

How do I bend it
jhawoni holloway you shouldn’t have to bend anything? So I’m not quite sure what your asking to bend.
Still having that same problem no fix
Need help
Breezy Bleu Make sure the trigger is put back together properly. Then when you get to the trigger spring baring, install it as shown in the video. Over the serial number not under it.
Fails to fire
What if you only see three numbers lol
