Return of Rosemaling with Art of Lise - Transparent Telemark C Scrolls - ASMR

Welcome back to Rosemaling with Art of Lise. Visit with me today while I demonstrate C scrolls painted in the transparent Telemark Style of Rosemaling. C scrolls make up one of the two foundation strokes for rosemaling.
I am painting with a #2 Loew Cornell 797 Flat shader brush. The paint that I am using is JoSonja acrylic paint and the color is Citrine. My medium is a combination of three JoSonja mediums at at 1:1:1 ration, Flow medium, Clear Glaze medium and retarder.

I just discovered your channel and I’m so excited! My grandparents just passed down some really beautiful heirlooms to me. They’re all rosemaling pieces. My great grandpa made all the wood pieces and my great grandma painted them. Growing up, I loved seeing all the beautiful rosemaling. Now I’m wondering why I never thought to learn to do it myself until now. So thank you! You’re helping me learn and hopefully I’ll be able keep some heritage alive. 💙
