Nick you better have really deep pockets to purchase this from me. This is the only Brantly backhoe, Brantly loader and BRantly Power steering kit all on one tractor that I'm aware of. Mark these Brantly attachments were made back in the 70s early 80s for our tractors Brantly is no longer in business so finding all these piece has been quite the challenge.
Wait, I thought they didn't have power steering till the 318 came out? Or did you retrofit power steering to this 317? Sorry, old video I know, but im looking to do a few things between my jd 317 and mtd 990 and ran across your video lol. Nice little garden tractor tho for real!!
The 317 has hydraulics on the front so probably not, but if he wanted to use a single handle to operate the boom up and down and the bucket tilt at the same time id say you would need something like that to make them work together. Be neat if it had a auto level bucket that stayed level on its own as you raised the bucket up and down. Kinda overkill on something so small, but id hate to not have auto level on anything past a 400 size loader. Makes life easier lol
No sorry I'm a collector as well took me 6yrs to find the correct backhoe. If you look up Brantly Manufacturing on facebook you can contact me directly threw there
Very nice 317, that's a rare gem with all the attachments.
Great looking 317! Love the brantly backhoe! I would drive a long way to purchase that setup!

Nice
did you have to do any extra fabricating or put in a special float valve to make the front scoop work? Great tractor!

Its actually 1 of 2 that we know of right now
Really like this tractor, I am a collector, is it for sale?
Newt I'd love to see pictures of your setup would you have any
Domino Diamond not I paid lots more than that yes you can plant the front bucket but we were just demonstrating it here in this video
what tires are you running all around
Newt look up Brantly Manufacturing on Facebook and post some pictures there if you would.
What exactly is powering the backhoe is it connected to a 3 point on the back of the tractor?
@@markbriggs2443 no its hanging on the back of the tractor off the frame and runs on its own hydraulic pump off the front of the tractor
So it’s got its own separate hydraulic pump that you installed on the tractor?
@@markbriggs2443 This setup came from the Brantly Factory with its own pump that runs off the front PTO Clutch so you can engage and disengage it.

I have a 318 & I like to know where u get that back ho digger at I like to get one for mine
This backhoe was made way before the 318 but Brantly did make a backhoe for the 318 but I've only seen 2 of them there really rare and hard to find.
Would that work on a 430 John Deere?
Not without a welder and a torch
urs is in better shape cosmetically tho but hey for a grand I feel like I stole it
That bucket is to big for that machine
