Whatever the reason these people from Nepal leave their homeland and join the British Army, do NOT disrespect them! They are some of the bravest warriors on the planet and for 200 years, they have fought alongside the British and given all they have, to help us in numerous wars. Thank you Gurkhas.

Okra CRPF cause in our country only peace exists. No wars and fights. Learn to respect their hardwork instead of commenting annoying things

They are leaving their homeland and then they send most of their earnings back to the family. That is patriotic and there is nothing "disloyal" in that. Those that say differently probably don't know exactly what that money means to those at home.

I served in the military and let me tell you I am glad they are on our side. I, for one, would not want to go against these guys. We had training exercises with them a few times and their ability to blend in their surroundings and suddenly pounce on you is frightening. They literally come out of nowhere. Couple that with their fearlessness and you have a fighting force that is second to none.
When you meet them you just think how nice they are. However, when they are in battle mode I found them fukcing terrifying and that was only a training exercise. They were literally playing with us and could have wiped out our division no problem at all if it was for real. I remember talking to a guy serving in the SAS and even he admitted that he would not feel confident going against the Gurkhas. This was coming from a battled hardened elite soldier. We are so lucky they fight with us and not against us.

They go through hell and to the other side when trying to qualify , then leave family and friends thousands of miles behind to land in our country. Great respect to these guys ! They seem to destroy homesickness easily, and know that not only are they going on a tough training course they will provide financial support for their families AND become tough fighting men with no fear ! Their parents will miss them BUT be very proud !

As Brits were are blessed to have these wonderful people to protect us. These Ghurkas and their Families are as British as we are. Few of us came from this place; pays to keep perspective.

My great grandfather and his younger brother fought for the British in WW1. If feel happy to be great grand son of a Gurkha.. If the war happens with the Chinese in the near future, just be careful, the greed factor is very high on their side. You know what I mean ? Plus they are starting to colonize in African countries not by force, but by love... so they might use that as a tactical thing as well. You know what I mean ?

Well, It is so complicated, I don't know where to start from... Okay.... My elder brother used to get into fights and all that... my father was the same, very aggressive in nature but very kind as well... and I used to be the same, very adventurous ..... My grandfather used to have friends from Royal families and high class wealthy families of Nepal (I don't know if they are now.... but they were considered like Royals back in the days when there was Monarchy in Nepal).. Anyways.. Nepal has caste system which labels some as warriors, some as merchants and things like that and my caste suggested that I was not from the warrior caste.... . so I always used to wonder how come we have so much aggression when we aren't even from the warrior caste?!?... plus my grandfather had very very close connection with these wealthy families and elites of Nepalese society... And some months ago my father's elder brother found my great grandfather's WW1 medal and documents while cleaning room n stuff... And my cousin told me about it and sent me the picture of the medal and I was like wow, I knew something was strange about my family... so I feel happy you know..

Yep man.. growing slowly, but growing. I am a strange character, I grow and then I don't grow... and then I grow again hahaha.. such is my life. Anyways, hope you have a good year.
