Just wanted to thank you for this video. When I was first looking to buy a Dyson I watched this video to see if the base model would suit my needs (I judged it would and bought one) and then tonight as I prepare to move house and was trying to figure out how to fit everything back into the original box I returned to this video to see how it was all originally packaged - maybe not the intended purpose of the video, but definitely a handy one :)
well technically dyson designed their own high speed brushless motor that rotate up to 110,000 rpm. so its sort of the same motor but the construction and working principle is a bit different.
So for the DC35 there are 2 different battery’s type A (removable) and type B which this one is. My DC35 Multifloor would run for a couple minutes and turn off I would release the trigger and press again and I could use it a few more minutes and on max mode it was a matter of seconds. Found a battery on amazon that was for my model(with the type A removable battery) and replaced it and it fixed the issue and I have a bigger battery now
I'm sure your on about the DC16, I have one and it is not the best as a handheld, notably the battery life, but the suction is the best from any handheld vacuum I have used, I have used both cheaper models and Black and Decker Dustbusters.
This is no longer in the Dyson range. Its a discontinued model in the UK at least. Its now the V6 thats a current lineup from Dyson with different varients.
I'm not so keen on the DC35, looks nice but I much prefer the new V6 total clean in the funky red colour and the DC50 style brushbar which looks like it can agitate carpets :) PS- Lol, this DC35 video is 35 mins long
The DC35 is a great machine for Dysons first attempt at cordless stick vacuums. Obviously V6's are the latest with inprovements in performance. Though I found the DC35 to be great as an 'inbetween' machine. I once used it for a whole month as my main machine to clean the apartment as I had the bigger machine in storage.
yesterday got my vintage vacuum cleaner recorded it and when i went to watch it i found out my phone had died halfway through the unboxing. absolutely gutted. but i will still make a few vids of it

I often look back at my videos to see how the vacuum was packed. 🙂
For the Dyson handheld u use to have, I think it is the Dyson dc16 aka the first cordless vacuum
just turned ten and got myself one works grate
Does it have the same type of motor as a battery powered power drill?

The current top of the line Dyson stick is the V6 absolute

+Emmanuel J It's still widely available. This one will be on Ebay soon.
+ibaisaic Yes, whilst stocks last, because retailers are no longer supplied with DC35's.
+Emmanuel J It will be around for quite some time yet.
do a comparison with the shark and dyson
+Steven Galiyas The Shark will win on all counts performance wise. Please and thank you are nice words, they should be used more often I think.

It's a nice vac I guess, was surprised you bought one :P
+Parwaz seveneightsix Officiial I didnt buy one. Dyson gave it to me for free after I complained about the time they took to repair my bigger machine.
I know but on their FB page you mentioned that you bought another as a back up? :P
