I really wish you have reviewed this before I bought a lot from this brand. This is a very good, blunt but completely honest review Tara. And I just love, love your channel so much for that. I completely agree with you having tried these products for a good while.. don’t ever change💕
I TOTALLY agree- I bought & returned the foundation - ok but doesn’t last and I still didn’t like how much I used up even in the few days I had it. I got the newer bigger stick and I would have ripped through it in no time. Not good value. My NARS pot concealer and a soft brush works better for that type of application.
The mascara I liked but it wasn’t volumizing enough for my tastes - it was a good tubing formula though. Just definition, not volume. Tarte’s new Tubing mascara has volume AND all the tubing benefits. I used up the Merit one though.
I tried the blush in store and it didn’t last on me even while I was in store, my skin ate it up. I get better results dabbing on my lipstick and blending it with my fingers.
Holy cow. I watched to the end and I literally thought you took off the makeup before your final check in. Can’t believe it. I’ll pass on this one. Thanks for the review because I was thinking of getting this foundation.

Thank you Tara! Everything about this foundation is off. Apply it only where needed? I need it all over my face (to even me out). If I want to spot cover, I'll use concealer! I'm so glad you showed how the stick didnt go back down so the cap will mess it up! That would happen to me everytime I used it. Thank you for saving me from buying this!!

Great review. I have only tried 2 Merit products. Recently I tried their lipstick and found that it’s the only lippie with a matte finish, except for Charlotte Tilbury, that doesn’t completely dry out my lips. I love the foundation stick. I can use it as a concealer or a where I need it foundation. On my skin, normal to dry, it lasts.

For a company supposedly so environmentally conscious, they could have used half the amount of packaging for their product (considering there was such a small amount)…that would have been the most ethically conscious solution.

Thank you for reviewing this brand. I actually have one of the foundation/concealer sticks, one of the blush domes, the foundation brush, a lip oil and two lipsticks. Your review reflects my own experience: my favorites are the brush and the lipsticks, and the lip oil is good. I will repurchase the lipsticks and I have a backup brush (which I use with the WA foundation). I like the blush dome but I do powder over. I hope that Merit sees this review and corrects the “issues” you have identified. I also hope the brand expands to include setting powder. Thank you again for this thorough review.

I love the lip oil and new lipsticks too. I’ll wear the cream blushes I have only on running around /errands days, they don’t last on me either. I do want to try a highlighter as I’ve swatched them and they are sooo pretty not sure if they will last on my dry skin? I’m sticking with my WA foundation sticks since I need to use those up. I’ll try the Tom Ford stick foundation one day! Thanks for your review!!!

I’m finding if you use the milk hydro grip or Charlotte T poreless primer - the face products last. I also use the blush, then a little mercier translucent powder and then another layer of blush. I also use the Tilbury setting spray - I get 6 to 8 hrs doing that x
Thank you for this honest review! I feel lots of people love these products because they look good/nature on the camera. I was tempted to buy the blush because of the hypes. Glad you pointed out that they don’t last!
Their lipsticks/balm are pretty good 😊
I agree on the blush. I was sent the darkest one for review but you can’t use it over liquid/cream foundations. It will slip abs not show up. It’s basically for bare skin and your right, even the darkest colour fades to nothing in a couple of hours. The only great products are the lipsticks and the brush. There’s better products in everything else.
You look beautiful. I’m loving the hair!!!! Thanks for such a thorough brand review. The complexion products are not my thing but I did pick up a lipstick (Fashion) during the Sephora sale and love it. It is very hydrating. The Fashion shade is a bright berry/fuchsia shade and it’s so pretty but it’s not long lasting at all. Wow, the price breakdown was shocking!!! You do look barefaced and you have beautiful skin which the products certainly highlight although probably unintentionally. I get that it’s going for a natural look but unless someone is much younger the face products look like one is wearing nothing. The hair sticking to your face was the nail in the coffin for me .💜😘
I like watching you put mascara on! People can be so nit picky over the dumbest things! There’s a difference between constructive criticism and just plain “you should probably keep that to yourself” criticism. I swear people have to comment on every little thing that bothers them.
It's funny because I'm used to it now and just laugh. You wouldn't believe the things people pick at you for🤣 I had someone tell me the other day I have had Cheek & chin implants and I was a PHONY see you next Tuesday. No joke. I laughed and blocked her because of the C word but they are comical now. You get used to it, sadly 😥 But, that is one reason i don't bring my children (my daughter) on my channel. Say anything you want about me, but go after my child i would lose it and it would ruin this love I have for creating content. 🤷♀️

I don't own any Merit products as they weren't so easy to get in the UK. I might/probably will get the brush and a couple of lippies.
I really, REALLY appreciate the cost comparisons you do and seeing that the Merit is practically DOUBLE the cost, (per gram) of the Tom Ford stick foundation totally surprised me!!!
Btw, you don't have "wimpy" lashes at all - you ought to see my pathetic offerings 😂😂😂

Please note that the mascara is a tubing mascara and it will not build up and it does not smudge. Comes off with water.
Not a fan of this brand. They keep sending PR to RUclipsrs ( like Morphe used to) & I can tell who fakes a positive review for the free products. Its an immediate unfollow. Thank you for your honesty as always.
It may be the last time I get PR from them LOL. but I could absolutely CARE LESS about PR. For me, the only time I would like to get PR is to get it early so I can get my review out before or as it launches. Other than that, I don't really care much about PR. I feel like a lot of the reviews I’ve seen about merit have been a little hit or miss. The lipstick is the only thing I’ve tried it and I love it.
Hi Tara! Love your videos!! The only product I tried from this brand was the blush a while ago. I agree with you totally!! The blush didn't last, too much slip and slide, and for me was too shiny, etc. Never went back to this brand! Thanks for all your amazing videos!!

I have the 1990 lipstick and it’s so beautiful, I can’t wait to get more shades.
I rely on you for cheek products that won’t make my hair stick to my face. I am so afraid of breaking out because my hair is clinging to my face. It used to happen to me all the time when I was in my 20’s. I have had no issue after I stopped wearing products that are too emollient.

I have to say I thought your lashes looked pretty good with that mascara!! They seemed to stay curled & lifted too. But that foundation.... You layered the darker color 3 or 4 times and it still was gone when you came back at 10 something. That’s terrible not to mention the small amount of product is ridiculous!!! Good video but not great products!! Thanks always for the help... you save us time and money with your videos!!! 🤗💙
Merit isn't a brand that interests me, but I will say that I do love their highlighter. I don't find it too sticky at all, but I could definitely see it be too much if you applied it with so many emollient products. Other than that, I find a lot of their formulas to be very meh.

Whoever said that about your mascara application, THEY can fastforward thru to the next part of the video OR not watch. I thought your reviews on each product were fair. I'd say my fave products are the foundation (agree not good as concealer for me either) and the lip products are great! I have all of the oils and most of the new lipsticks.

It’s suppose to be minimal make up wear and I feel like your trying to make it full coverage which you don’t even need. Your skin is pretty perfect already. I mean no offense just the idea is minimal make up to look more natural not as full coverage as your making it out to be

Well that Merit company sounds like a big frickn scam. They probably *want* the makeup to wear off quickly, so people keep reapplying it all day long. Then they don’t give much product, so….people have to buy it more often…because they’re reapplying it so much. 😡 I really despise companies like that. I definitely would not buy anything from that company
