I understand that the following is useless if you’re already in the thick of a vehicle dual battery system but for my Prado build, I think I will opt for a standalone ‘solar generator’ system such as a Bluetti AC200 Max matched with a set of SP200 solar blankets.
Granted that there will be a space, weight and significant initial purchase cost to pay but full portability, built-in 2000W inverter and ease of installation on the vehicle in my mind, will outweigh the downside.
Such a system can also be removed from the vehicle and used in the home e.g. in the event of a power failure. Obviously, the portability also means that it can be used in a caravan or even a tent as a standalone power source and unlike a permanent vehicle installation, can be removed from the vehicle when it is sold.

thanks for posting. we have a 2022 prado. do you know where is the best place/fuse/wire etc to get supply ( ignition on) to operate a relay? the under dash fuse box is cramped and the under bonnet fuse box is difficult to enter ( and limited)

I use the fuse box drivers side foot-well with a Fuse socket wire tap, unfortunately this means you have to remove the cover permanently, but it does enable you to add your circuit fuse and tap into an ignition switched source. I now have three connected here!
      Something like this:
