Flobot killed it and I am a OG flomie!! I just ran my first race back after my horse had a horrific leg injury back on October and we did good. I want to improved some more. But I gotta get myself motivated to ride everyday. I push myself to the point I physically crash n I know that’s not good. Othernews I stopped drinking all caffeine and no sugar drinks for a week and a half n I feel better. Safe travels and can’t wait for the next one. It’s always good to know that even pros make mistakes and have bad runs, even if you don’t show it it’s always a, not a confidence booster that sounds bad but it’s like a “it keeps me going” kinda thing lol 😂😂

I'm not fallon, just someone who trains. Everyone who works with young horses does things differently, but I find that alot of benefit comes from letting horses "marinate" periodically as they mature in the first 5 years. Typically people like to do big 2-3 month breaks after doing a month of daily groundwork or saddle breaking, and then a few more times after they put rides 30-100 on their horses. I scheduled my "marinating" time around my school semester schedule, alot of people do it around their competitive schedule. Even mature horses can use "marinating". Hailey Kinsel talks about how she lets Sister have periods of time off so she stays sound and healthy for big rodeos. I really think it can add longevity to a horses career.
