HumbleGreetings Thanks for watching. We hope the video helped! If you’re referring to the plastic inserts installed between screws...this is your “Soft Closing” engineered mechanism. It’s this small mechanism that creates the tension for the door to rest on. As the weight of the door rests itself on the plastic tab, the soft closing mechanism closes the door at a very slow / soft rate. Hope this helps! I bought two Pax wardrobe with such hinges. After two weeks of using all of these "soft close" amortizators were broken, there was even some liquid leaks out of them. For now all doors close with noise. Is there any alternatives from another brand like Blum or Hettich or anything else to replace it?
Thanks for watching & sharing your experience. That’s no fun. It’s possible that you can visit your local hardware stores & try to match the hinge for replacement. You can also return to ikea for new ones...& we are certain they would replace them free of charge since they failed so soon...😳

These, along with most Ikea screws, are Pozidriv screws, not Phillips. Using a Pozidriv bit (PZ#2) instead of a Phillips bit will prevent stripping the heads.

You might now use BESTA not UTRUSTA. A BESTA hinge is a HJALPA hinge , but with the push to open catchers also included in the package. Utrusta limits the opening angle to various degrees, and it says for use at/near refridgerator , as an example, suggesting it inately swings out wider. ( I think it clears the door next to it better.)

Hi, I cannot find the video where you actually install the door with the hinges on onto the connections on the storage unit.I have all 8 pieces screwed on but have trouble to fit the hinges onto the connections

We recommend taking the hinge with you as well as the depth measurement of Door so they can sell you the right screws. Keep us posted. The screws are PZ2 (pozidrive) and not PH2 (philips). It is VERY important to use the correct screwdriver in order not to damage the screws and the screwdriver.

Hi - are those custom doors? If yes where is the correct placement of the bore ?

Do both middle hinges need to be used? One is interfering with a drawer. Can I use 3 hinges (top, middle and bottom only)?

If you don't want door handles you can get a "push opener" that you attach to the side of the cabinet/carcass, Ikea do some named
UTRUSTA.
