Hello! Thank you for this video, which kind of alcohol you use to clean the still ?
Which volume has your alambic? Thanks🥰

    •  2 года назад +2

Hello Yolanda! We use alcohol with a high percentage, usually higher than 90%. Sometimes we use isopropyl, which is suitable for cleaning copper. It has a high disinfection capacity and dries fast. Still, this alcohol tends to be a bit expensive, so sometimes we also use ethyl alcohol. It is cheaper, also disinfects very well and dries quickly.
      Ours is a 10L alembic.
We are glad you liked the video :) Thank you so much! All the best to you!

You don't get scorching putting them directly into the bottom? Thanks, tom'

    •  Год назад

Hello Tom! The flowers are put into the alembic while it is cold (or at room temperature). Then, they are only removed when the alembic is cold again. So you won't get scorching. As for the flowers, they also won't get burnt or stick to the bottom because they are surrounded by water. The whole process is safe and traquil ;)

At about 1:39 in this video you show a "nut" for sealing the gooseneck to the condenser tube. Can you tell me what that is called and where I might find it?

    •  2 года назад

Hi! This small piece comes with the set. If you purchase an alembic, all these pieces should be included. If, for some reason, you do not have this piece, please check with the alembic seller or supplier. I think it might be called a "thread" or a "connector".

You just made me curious to find out the actual name of this part in English. I have researched and I believe you can look for "union coupling" or "union conical joint". Just make sure you know the diameter of your tubes and that you purchase a piece made of the same material as the alembic. Eventually, you may find what you need in hardware stores as well. Hope that helps! All the best to you!

      Hello Francesca 😊
We haven’t made that video yet. Unfortunately, the time we have to create content is really scarce. Sometimes we take a long time to release new videos and posts. However, we never forget when someone asks for a specific content. So, once we have that video, we will let you know. Thank you so much for watching our video and dropping a comment. Our best wishes to you ❤
