Thanks for posting this! It's one of those snippets that stayed in my mind years after it aired for two reasons....this was probably the happiest we ever saw Reva an Kyle and shortly afterward it was all spoiled and secondly I was astonished how FAKE looking the NYC scenes were and couldn't understand if you actually shoot the show there you couldn't just go out around the town and do some remote scenes. The one in front of the World Trade Center really stood out as phony-looking.
Mine too. You can see a little kink in that film from how many times I played that kiss on the bed - over and over. God they were so romantic. They were really written so beautifully until the RUSHED forced ending of them.
@@sampsongirl SOOO many things to love about this episode. I love the 'room service' joke at the beginning, Reva inviting herself to the meeting to move things along, the surprise gift and the story of why she knew Kyle would want the toy train, the "I've never seen anything I wanted so much in my life...except you", how he pretends he's going to leave for his room while Reva pretends that she'll help pack everything up, while she knows that he already gave up his room, then when he jokes she's easy, she diverts his attention and hides behind the door, only to get surprised when he sneaks up behind her - there was so much fun in these scenes (and really in the whole NYC trip including the boats & bath) :) The fake/greenscreen shopping in NYC scenes always crack me up but I just FF'd through them usually.
Been thinking about my top five Reva and Kyle moments...here it goes... I'd love to hear what your favorite moments are! 5) "I knew I loved you when..." I just love all of the beautiful things he says to her here. 4) This clip, especially the end when he looks back at the bedroom and leads her in. 3) The scene entitled "Reva goes to see Kyle," (right before Reva leaves for the Yoder farm). That was their best kiss! And Kyle looks his most handsome there! 2) The first proposal-everything about the scene is so romantic. 1) The morning after the first proposal-the "I'm yours" clip at the end-so awesome, I get the chills! Honorable mentions... When he pays $10,000 for a dance with her...is that like $25,000 in today's money? The "lemons" clip-I love the Chaka Khan song in the background, it is perfect for that scene!
My top 5 moments in no special order: 1) At the Sampson Buster’s party when Reva convinced Kyle not to dissolve Lewis Oil, and then they parted ways to a Madonna song 🤩 2) When they were slow dancing in Reva’s hotel rm/apt and Kyle popped the question 3) When they rode on a horse together to Mindy’s wedding and smooched 4) When they reunited on the bridge after Kyle saved Reva from Cain 5) At Revabend, when Kyle told Reva about the Andorra gold coins
I love all of those too! I thought the idea of a sampson busters party was silly, but kim zimmer did great with being torn between her sympathy for Kyle and her loyalty to HB. I also loved them t Kurt and Mindy’s wedding. I loved when they walked down the aisle and imagined their own wedding.
Thanks for sharing this. I haven’t seen this in a while. I loved Reva and Kyle’s love story. One of my favorite GL couples
