for those who don't understand, Milwaukee Fuel uses brushless motors - the other ones he does not recommend are older models that are brushed motors. If you are not a pro or need something in a pinch, they're fine to use, but if you want to use them for a long time, or like nice things, or make money from the tools, go for the Fuel version, you'll love not smelling a weird burning smell every time you go ham with your drill if you go for the Fuel version lmao

The combo kit on sale for $179 is actually brushless. The drill included in that particular set isn't a hammer drill though which is one of the reasons which is also cheaper. In my opinion most people don't ever use the hammer drill setting unless you're in a trade where it comes in handy/do specific work or very specific DIY projects that probably aren't the norm. Fuel is their top of the line stuff with all the bells and whistles and geared more towards contractors and very much awesome. People should know they have new M18 (non-fuel) Hammer Drills and non-hammer options that are still very good and reliable. I've been doing a bunch of research myself debating on which Milwaukee set I'll go with. Might go fuel but the non-fuel Hammer drill combo set (bc of what I do) that includes a free tool is excellent value IMO.

@@iand6453 100%, I just tend to steer towards the Fuel only line - I believe in buy one cry once lol - I do agree with the hammer drill feature that most people don't even know what it is (I didn't know what it was or how it could help until a few years ago). Been waiting for a good time to pick up that Fuel 18v combo for $400 plus extra tool but I don't really NEED it now, it's just a want thing lol

Your point about the rolling toolbox is why I returned all my packout equipment and went with Ridgid Pro Gear 2.0. The way the wheels and the handle can be clipped to anything makes it the only true modular kit in my opinion. I always have the 3 drawer on the bottom, than the large toolbox above it and than an organizer on top. So i can get into any box without disassembling anything.

I also have one of the wet/dry vacs which is REALLY useful and handy - I've used it so many times. Most of the tools I've gotten were buy a tool get free battery type of deal. I used to have a brushless 18v drill and brush 18v impact but gave those to my sister to give myself an excuse to check out the 12v fuel line and bought that kit but now I want to get that $399 drill/driver kit and grab either the sawzaw (I got the smaller brushed version) or the oscillating tool - I really want that pack out stereo instead of the radios they have.

I use my Milwaukee multi tool more then my Dewalt. I used to be a DeWalt guy as well. Everything at work and at my house was all of sea of yellow. I think the biggest thing that did it for me on the Milwaukee stuff was the fact of how long Milwaukee has been running off of the same battery platform. Also, all of their innovation with their new tools. I mostly started out my lineup with all the mechanics tools, so impact drivers, wrenches, and a bunch of their hand tools. The fact that Milwaukee seems to make everything that was once corded or pneumatic now in electric is pretty amazing. That’s where I really think they shine. • @BlakesGarage

It really just depends on if you need all nine of those tools. Being a homeowner setup I get that having more is definitely an advantage. But like the previous person said in professional setting the fuels are much better. I personally have never had an issue with any of the batteries myself. I always tend to use 5 amp hour and above. Then I get more than enough power in time out of them. It also depends on if you have a particular project that you are looking to do. Like if you were putting together a deck, I would wanna have some fuel tools in my lineup as they put out more beans 🫘.
