In the UK you can go to the works which have really cheap new books, I do pop into charity shops tho to have a look but not really anything of my interest unfortunately
I physically can't thrift books because they need to be in pristine condition, even when I'm book shopping for brand new books, I'm so picky about if there's the tiniest imperfection and pick the best copy 🤣
This ‘thrift’ bookstore is called Second and Charles! They are amazing and you can even sell them your used or old books and get money or store credit! If you have one by you, highly recommend it!😊
The Magic Treehouse books are soooo cute & nostalgic! My daughter read like every single book in that series- such a fantastic way to get little people excited to read! 💛
What’s it about one of my old childhood friends read it and she loved so much she’d would search for the book series everywhere but she left unexpectedly and I didn’t get a moment to say bye . What’s worse is I now have all the hobbies she had then so I want to know pls 😞
Omg a wrinkle in time is my most favourite book. It is so nostalgia and has so many plot twist I would recommend it to anybody who’s looking for a mystical magical read😊
2nd & Charles has always had Sarah J. Maas in the YA section because her series started that way. ACOTAR might be more spicy, but Throne of Glass is YA, and yes there are spicy bits later, but that was before they made their displays, and they don’t usually change that kind of thing. If it’s marketed YA, they know teens and adults will read it, and the YA sections at 2nd & Charles are both more visually pleasing and more conveniently located than the adult sections. Their adult sections are very difficult to sift through, other than the first displays at the front showing the new and popular books right now.
Let it be known, I do say this with love. 2nd & Charles is my favorite store in the world lol. And I’m just speaking from experience of the store nearest where I live, and I know the only other one I’ve been to looked very different. Though this one looks very similar.
I adoreeee 2nd&Charles!!! Def requires a lot of digging to find books on sale vs regular price but you can find GREAT deals!! It's especially great for cheap classics and vintage manga!
The libraries near me have $1 sales every year, and I just drown myself in books everytime lol. And then anything that's new, I get on libby or take it out at my library
I read every single rainbow magic and magic treehouse that our library had as a kid. The wings of fir books are really good books. I haven't read any of the other books but i really want to read Eragon. Have fun reading
If you live near a Deseret Industries, that's a GOLDEN place to book shop Most of the books are $1 and sometimes really nice hardcovers are $2 maybe $3 but that's the maximum
I remember reading Wings of Fire in 2nd grade and it’s safe to say me and this other girl were obsessed. Weed but the comic books as soon as they came out and we would read them during recess and in the morning taking turn with each or our characters.
I love 2nd&Charles! I used to like about 20 minutes from one, then I moved, and there weren't evany any in my state. Then they built one about an hour from me and i was so excited. I've gotten my kids addicted as well
Here in Brazil, going book thrifting is only worth it if you are looking for books that are specially old, and be ready to pay a not-so-cheap price for them. I've seen book thrifters charge the same price as bookstores for used books lol
Omg warrior Cats were the books that got me into reading when i was little (my brother had to read it for school lol), and eragon i read a year ago cuz my then bf read it when he was younger and liked it
In our school library they have the Queens assassin but the little sticker that has like the reading level on it covers up the last six letters in assassin 😂
Omg I’ve never seen a store like this!!! I’m flabbergasted that this exists & there’s multiple copies of the books 😍 I would loooove that, because sometimes I want to buy second-hand from an app but you end up paying €3-4 in fees and shipping
warrior cats is amazing, but the more u read it (its still good) you want to move onto something different. It was the first ever series I read, and I am now trying to find more series I like. WOF was recommended to me alot, so I might get it soon.
I do not like a wrinkle in time. I feel like I skip a paragraph but I didn’t it just jumps to things to quick. My overall rating on a wrinkle in time is 5/10
Dude yes! The used bookstore by me finally moved their ACOTAR and Crescent City Series books to the fantasy section from the young adult 😂 no idea why Crescent City was there since when it came out I remember everything was like “oh it’s her first adult fantasy” but like…the smut? 😅
Im so sad my country dossnt have book thrift stpres like this, and if there is they mostly sell coobokes and hobbu books. Im soo jealous. Glad you had a good haul🫶
2nd and charles here in Ohio, books are high, the ones I want. I paid 40$ for two books, steven king It an old book and a rom com book. We also have an half price books, which is better.
She is a young adult author though the problem is most likely just some of her content not being suitable for certain age groups but her books are suppose to be for young adults somehow
Her first series (Throne of Glass) started out as YA, but got more spicy as time went on to grow with the ages of the readers who were there since book 1. Typically when an author starts out as YA, it takes a while for bookstores to move them out.
I've only read flot on webtoon, which was really good, I would like to read the book too, which i have for a while, it seems from the webtoon to be really good 😅
Have you read any of these?!
I read that for a school @@Larosh-p2f
@@Larosh-p2fI read that book when I was little! I loved it ❤
eragon- love eragon😁😁😁
Wof, WC, magic treehouse and eragon ❤❤❤
I read the queens Assassin and it was pretty good
Book thrifting is so much better then going to a book store, like $16 is about the price of 1 book at the bookstore
Yep! I purchased 3 books at the used bookstore in my area for $8 today.
In the UK you can go to the works which have really cheap new books, I do pop into charity shops tho to have a look but not really anything of my interest unfortunately
Yah, except there’s literally no thrift stores with books in my area
I physically can't thrift books because they need to be in pristine condition, even when I'm book shopping for brand new books, I'm so picky about if there's the tiniest imperfection and pick the best copy 🤣
$16 is a bargain in Canada. 😞
What a great looking bookstore.
it’s definitely a favorite of mine!
This ‘thrift’ bookstore is called Second and Charles! They are amazing and you can even sell them your used or old books and get money or store credit! If you have one by you, highly recommend it!😊

yes, they are so nostalgic and magical!
Omg i never see eragon on any booktok video!!! Eragon is my favorite book ever!!!!
Eragon is still my favorite book series ever❤ I never see anyone talk about them!!
What’s it about one of my old childhood friends read it and she loved so much she’d would search for the book series everywhere but she left unexpectedly and I didn’t get a moment to say bye . What’s worse is I now have all the hobbies she had then so I want to know pls 😞

Eragon is such a good book. I loved it!
The Queens Assassin is actually so good

DUDE THAT RAINBOW MAGIC UNLOCKED A MEMORY!
omg i read WOF and Warriors in 4th and 3rd grade and they got me into reading!!!
Warriors is a great series!! Definitely recommend
💖🐈
My favorite thing when Looking at books is to see which ones I recognize and which ones are on my TBR
If there's an Ollie's Bargain Outlet in your area, I recommend you check it out. Books there are usually less than $3 and in great condition.
Omg you'll love a wrinkle in time, it's such an amazing book!
The original Warriors series (prophecies begin) is SO good!
okay I couldn’t figure out which one was the one to start with! thanks for letting me know!
I read every single rainbow magic and magic treehouse that our library had as a kid. The wings of fir books are really good books. I haven't read any of the other books but i really want to read Eragon. Have fun reading

Omg I’ve never seen a store like this!!! I’m flabbergasted that this exists & there’s multiple copies of the books 😍 I would loooove that, because sometimes I want to buy second-hand from an app but you end up paying €3-4 in fees and shipping
Ohh you went to 2nd & Charles. They have great selection of books there.
This looks like 2nd and Charles, if it isn't it interesting how different bookstores look the same.
I love bookthifting, besides you can find first edition copies, limited editions, and author signings and resell them for a higher price too.
I love Eragon! ❤
all the books you've talked about are so amazing 😭😭
This looks so fun!!! I just reorganized my bookshelf to rainbow like yours and I'm so happy!!
aww I love that! 🌈🥰
I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW BOOK THRIFT STORES EXISTED. WHAT😅
such a steal! nice finds!
I read the cover off of A Wrinkle in Time when I was in middle school. The whole series is great and one I’d love to revisit as an adult!
WINGS OF FIRE IS SOOOO GOOD!!!!!
Oh i love that store they have a great vinyl selection!
right!! I was shocked at how many they had

I’ve never seen that many warrior cat or wings of fire books in one place, your so lucky to live near a place like that 😭
Omg ! What store is this?
Such amazing prices and full of good reads !😍
Looks like 2nd & Charles…I think it’s more of a southern chain of bookstores
i also read Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books in my childhood day ... i also read Regedy Ann and Ragedy Andy books ...
I actually really enjoyed vicariously experiencing Y/N it's so ridiculous that it's almost good
I also love thrifting! Great haul 👍
In Sweden the official placing is young adult for Sarah j Maas too
2nd and Charles is the BEST BOOKSTOREEEE
Wow so cool
Rainbow magic aghhhh
Dude yes! The used bookstore by me finally moved their ACOTAR and Crescent City Series books to the fantasy section from the young adult 😂 no idea why Crescent City was there since when it came out I remember everything was like “oh it’s her first adult fantasy” but like…the smut? 😅

Second hand books deserve sm love
yesss ❣️
Sarah Mass is in the YA section of our local library and I question it as well
that’s so funny but also concerning 😅
She is a young adult author though the problem is most likely just some of her content not being suitable for certain age groups but her books are suppose to be for young adults somehow
Pretty sure Crescent City and Throne of Glads are +14 and ACOTAR is +18
Her first series (Throne of Glass) started out as YA, but got more spicy as time went on to grow with the ages of the readers who were there since book 1. Typically when an author starts out as YA, it takes a while for bookstores to move them out.
The main character’s name in float is Waverly :D
I like the death eater mask
I wish my thrift store looked like that😭
Hi~

I now feel so priveliged as an Indian because here you get a book in 100-200 rupees, which is like $2-3
I don’t have much options for book thrifting where I live.
where is this‼️all my thrift book places don't have such an awesome collection:/
it’s called 2nd and charles! its newer at my location and it has been amazing so far
I’m so curious if this is the Jax location! Been there twice and it was so cool
