Nicely done! Blows my mind that Milwaukee STILL hasn't made a bottom unit with drawers/cabinet with front access.
Maybe the wheels get in the way? There a huge wheel arch in the rolling box

@kevinliang9502 seeing as they'd have to redesign the rolling box to make it with a drawer, they could shift the wheels outward. Or the drawer slides could be mounted towards the top of the box where it's flat and the drawer would just follow the shape of the original box.
That’s why the dolly was invented. You can easily make the two drawer a one drawer also
Haha I can't imagine how many engineers they have on the design team at Milwaukee and NONE OF THEM came up with this...and still haven't. Wonderful idea here. Thanks for the inspiration!

I've been waiting for Milwaukee to come out with a deep drawer for the bottom of my stack but I think it's time to just build it myself, nice job on what you made and thanks for posting the video!

How about a drawer that rests on top of slides, but not attached for optional removal! Just a wood rail attached to the slides with notches so you can lift the drawer off the rail. :) love your design brother! Ps the rail notches secure the drawer box the the rail so it doesn’t slide.
Another idea is to make the drawer slides have a drawer bottom only with a lip on the front to hold in a (lighter) plastic tote that’s removable.

I just bought my first set of components, one each of the 2 and 3 drawer units and the dolly base. My big problem is that the wheels will not stand up to unimproved surfaces. i would like something like this, especially with that drawer unit, that had something similar to gorilla cart wheels on it. I spend a lot of time it seems, especially when working on fences or other yard stuff, where it would be more convenient to bring my tools organized instead of in a Gorilla cart. We get those thunderstorms rolling through and by the time I get everything battened down, it is a mad dash to get all the tools in before it rains. Something like this, where everything seals and protects the tools needs better mobility on unimproved surfaces. Those solid rubber Gorilla Cart Wheels are rated for 800 pounds, it seems like they would get the job done. Has anyone seen a DiY rig like that being advertised on here?
The outer box looks to be 3/4" ply. I can't tell on the drawer. Is it 1/2" or 3/4"?

How does it go in your truck?
How much would you sell that bottom drawer if you were to make one and ship it out? This is perfect for what I want, however I don't have enough time to make it myself
This advantage is only for asphalt and concrete floors, site with gravel is a nightmare every wheels included the inflatable ones.

Kind of you to include some Milwaukee packout products in the video out of pity I assume, since you clearly have no need of them. That is the rolling base I would take over any of theirs any day.

They don’t make a bottom cabinet on wheels….. or drawers on wheels. This is smart, and you are being petty.
