Office relationships create an awkward work environment for colleagues. Suddenly you can't be as friendly as you were with your work buddy cause he's now dating Suzy from HR and she's starting to give you funny looks and then you worry about your promotion and pay raise prospects. Alissa made a statement about Nathan Wade, that was not true. It has been widely reported on. But, she has to get her little Repub. talking points in whether they are true or not.
Nathan Wade & his wife had been separated for almost 2 years. Due to the fact that his wife had an affair with one of Nathans friends. They made a decision to get divorced after their youngest child graduated.
In between that time & the time he took the job of Special Proscecuter. Nathan was diagnosed w/ cancer, was treated & came out on the other side. His estranged wife's mother got sick, his wife went to Texas ro help her, for a extended amount of time. Their daughter graduated. At the point when he was about to take the Special Proscecuters job. His estranged wife came back from Texas temporarily at that point he served her with divorce papers. Those are the FACTS.
As far as Nathan Wade & D.A. Fani Lewis personal relationship they are adults, that didnt break any rules or any laws. What they did on their time off is their business. 🍊 & his cronies were going to come up with one lie or another. None of the 💩 they thew on the wall stuck, because they were all lies.
The judge is a Federalist Society judge. So he had come up with a ruling to get rid of N. Wade which had no basis in the law... That is in appeal as we speak.
Two people working & doing a job others don't have the guts to do. One had to move out of her house due to DEATH THREATS, moved around Geogia with armed Police protection 24/7. The other takes a job & is bombarded by DEATH THREATS 2 people living a nightmare that no one else could possibly understand, isolated from family & friends...

Workplace relationships happen. Especially if your job takes up a large portion of your time inside and outside of work... Professions like healthcare, aviation, military, etc... You tend to be closest to the people you work with and sometimes a workplace romance happens. I think it's okay, so long as it's not a boss-subordinate relationship. Even then, it should be discussed always, with HR to make sure no improprieties exist.

This relationship should have been dropped - our country / democracy is at stake - and she should have been more professional and Wade should have had enough sense too get leave immediately so that this case wouldn't become personal.

I think we’ve got to be realistic. Most people working a 9-5 job spend more of their waking hours with their colleagues than their family or friends. That increases if you do jobs with 12-hour shifts or if you work a lot of overtime. When you spend so much time with your colleagues, workplace relationships are going to form. If you can be matured about it in both good and bad times, and no one is getting any unfair perks at work out of it, then I don’t see a problem with a workplace romance.

Work place romances will always happen. That is the reality. Moreover, even though there are many people who give the dynamic a bad rep by acting a fool when their relationship dissolves, there are scores more who make it work. Either by finding a genuine love and partner or by maturely ending their relationship with composure. Should we really ban and punish those who would find romance and possibly love on the job? The space where they spend 35% of their waking life?
Having said that, the need for disclosure and an accountability regarding the adherence to work standards and ethics should absolutely be expected.
