  • It was an honor to receive a call from the ladies of Alpha Kppa Alpha Sorority Inc, to help assist them in their AKA Day in Annapolis. As a panelist who represents both Maryland HBCU Advocates and the Coalition for Equity & Excellence in Higher Education, I spoke on the importance of HBCUs as well as equitable funding to keep them open and operating. I pledge my life to this work, with 10 years in the game, this work always humbles me. As i supported the 4 HBCU Presidents of Maryland as they testified in support of House Bill 1260 HB1260 which would fund $577 million of state funding between the 4 institutions over a 10 year period, i paused. I remembered those who came before me, and I pressed on, to continue the long road, and the arduous path to freedom. Fair Morgan:
Grateful to my Partner in Crime, Alexandria Maloney who was able to capture all of this footage for me! Nothing greater than the HBCU!
