HOLY CRAP! The Right lens was touching my eyelashes and when I looked, the left arm was sitting at around 85 degrees, bent it out and that's it, fixed instantly. THANK YOU!
Thank you! It worked for my brand new glasses! Thank you! We were at the store for half an hour doing minor tiny adjustments and after the fifth time I gave up and said “it’s as good as it’s going to get” you saved me another trip to the store. The bending of the metal did the best job.
Thanks for the tips, That Glasses Guy -- this issue was driving me crazy! The legs of my glasses are completely coated in plastic, unlike the one you use in your sample. I used the same technique you shared, just a lot more gingerly, lightly feeling for where there was the most give because I couldn't see where the legs became thinner.
My sunglasses have been touching my right cheek since new. I put it down to having a wonky face or misaligned ears! Following your advice, now they're sitting perfectly.. Thank you
I'll have to take them back to Optics. The girl who took care of me didn't understand what I meant when I told her that one side was touching my face. Thank you for your help.
It’s one of the trickier adjustments to wrap your head around for some reason. Sort of like how everyone wants to overcomplicate prism for no reason 😂☠️. I’m sure they’ll get you taken care of, but at least you learned it doesn’t have to be that way 🥂👌🏻
Ive had this problem with every single pair of glasses i have had over the years from the moment i get them, no professional has helped me properly, all of them fail to see the issue and adjust the wrong things making them feel worse, they call me insane, and even my family has called me insane for having this issue as apparently nobody else can see it even when i can in the mirror, ive had nothing but problems with glasses and i hate them as a result, but i rely on them for my eyesight so i have to endure even when they make me wanna scream, ive tried adjusting them myself after i got fed up with the professionals, but i was on the wrong track, pushing both arms in, pinching them onto my face rather than letting them sit on top because that felt better than anything the professionals had done, now i know what to do more properly and i think you mightve helped me to fix my glasses problems
I'm having this problem too, I just got new glasses after wearing contacts for 3 years and have put them on for 5 minutes and literally chucked them off my face more times than i can count already. It is seriously hell to wear them, maybe I should've gotten ones without nose pads cause I just cannot get comfortable. Doesn't help that they changed the prescription in one eye, but it shouldn't matter because I've worn contacts with the same changed prescription for over a month now. Dizzy as hell when I take them off too.
Tonberry, for starters, yes no nose pads would’ve been better purely for the fact they can sit closer to the eyes. The lenses can be made to more closely mimic contacts but their will still be something we call spectacle blur, but it’s a hell of a lot easier to adapt to. The catch is, most people aren’t gonna do this or even know what the problem is. And ultimately it still comes down to throwing the contacts in a drawer for a week and strictly wearing glasses from eyes open to eyes closed. 👌🏻 good luck out there, if I can ever help you with some lenses let me know, we’ve handled this for a lot of clients 😎
I picked up my new frames today, 2 pairs, and I didn't even realise that this was an issue but now that I am home with them I can see that one side the frame touches my cheek when I smile and the other doesn't. I have to go back to the store at some point anyway because my other brand new pair had a chip in one of the lenses. Really annoying when you spend a lot of money on new frames but here we are lol
Adjustments usually take some time to perfect, but the chip in the lens is an extra sting on the wound for sure! Hopefully they get everything taken care of for you though 😎 good luck!
Thank you so much!! I have been so frustrated and my work hours overlap the glasses shop so I can't ever get there because it is so hard to leave work!
I ask people all the time “ do you take these off with one hand” or “hmmm do you place these on top of your head” their answer is almost always, “ no” until I say, “ I’m only asking because I am seeing this with your frame, but I want to be sure I am being sure I am making the correct adjustments to customize your fitting for your face” and almost always the answer changes…
We literally have the same problem.. My glasses keep sliding down my small 🤧 nose so I had it adjusted then a few days later I realized it wasn't balanced correctly... Still annoying 😩
It can definitely be a challenge to find that sweet sweet balance! I had a +9 recently, took a bit to hit the sweet spot of balance and not slipping. Getting the balance triangle right can be hard normally, add in front heavy lenses and it takes some real finesse! Sometimes it even has to go as far as add on nose pads or thicker ones if you already have pads. It's all a process and a literal balancing act 😅
Omg i thought i was just going psychotic or something. I tried to explain this to the optometrist by saying i felt it weighing down on one side and she ended up making it worse. Going to go to a different one and explain my problem as I don’t want to break my glasses (my mom would kill me). Cant adjust them since they’re thick acrylic frames.
Thanks so much! I went to the glasses shop 4 or 5 times for one pair of plastic frames and all they did was curve the temple around my ear more :/ I ended up switching those plastic frames for metal ones that I could adjust easily myself since obviously it wasn't working with them for some reason - either they don't have the experience to look at someone and listen to them describe the issue and fix it or I chose the wrong words to describe my problems (native English speaker living in Germany describing my problems in German).
You're welcome! Second languages always make it tough, but for the most part this is almost entirely mechanical and objective and minus a few VERY acutely sensitive people the words of whats needed are wrong 90% of the time anyways 🤣
OMG, thank you so much!! This helped tremendously, one side was so close that my eyelashes were touching the lens every time I would blink. This made it so much better.
I thought this was my problem, but I'm realizing it's not. :( I have a pair of plastic lenses that have always been a pain with adjustment, but I lost and then found them on the floor tonight and noticed they were particularly awful. The right lens seems to be bent up at a 15° angle. Is there any advice you can possibly give for this? I'm reluctant to see if my optician can fix it, because they have a bit of an attitude about Zenni optical lenses, but they tested my prescription and the lenses came in perfectly. I'm due for an exam soon anyway, but in the meantime, do you think there's any way I can fix this? Thank you so much, just found your videos and love them. Instant subscribe. :)
Hi Logan, thanks! The only issue with zenni frames is the WIDE range of quality. Some of their plastics are super cheap and break looking at the wrong. And some are decent acetate that just didn't make the cut for others. I have a video on standard alignment, and heating and adjusting plastic frames, those two should get you back to wear you need to be :) ... I'll never understand any optician snubbing their nose at a pair of glasses someone uses for everyday life.... 🙄 I actually just put lenses in and polished up a zenni frame to make it surprisingly nice for a client's daughter while they're out of the country 😁
Then you're definitely in the right place! 😁 it's one of the more tricky adjustments to get perfect, but not necessarily the most difficult to actually do 🙂 hope the video helps!
It's definitely one of the more annoying problems to solve, mostly because its counter intuitive. You should be able to find a great local optician that can take care of it! 😁
I have the opposite issue, I can fit my entire finger in the gap between my face and the glasses, not just on the side but even from underneath or the top where my eyebrows are, I don't know if this normal cause I've used "plastic" frames my whole life and just got metal ones for the first time, they look like RayBans Clubmaster.
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 Thanks a lot, I just got these new frames and there was so much to tweak, thanks to your videos there was an answer to everything I found uncomfortable and they fit great now. I figured the gap was normal since I'm used to a different type of frame but I just wanted to be sure, I appreciate your help.
Exactly as I go over. Acetate will always have a metal core, and perhaps the easiest to adjust of all. I’ve got a video here over warming if needed, but in general high quality acetate is right at the perfect temperature for adjustments when worn 🖤
it's only silly if you dind't ask :) To some degree, but very very little, and it's easy to ruin them. That's why you generally won't see that suggested in any of my videos.
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 thank you for reply 😊 these are my 3rd glasses and i still hate to wear, i just cant get proper rest on my nose-i am sensitive by nature aswell. I just wish a little human sitting on my face and holding them for me 😅 Luckly I dont have to wear them all the time.
I just noticed why my eye lashes hit my lens on one eye. Sometimes it rubs my eyelid. I have one side of my face more prominent than the other ! How do I adjust for that !?? I use to wear contacts only and never noticed until I switched to glasses.
I wish I could run into you to fix my glasses. 😭😭 They hurt me on my right ear. Always feels as if I want to lift it of my right ear. It's hurting so bad and I have gone back so many time with no results.
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 oh thanks for your response. How can I fix that? Is it possible for me to fix that myself? I have a plastic frame with metal temples now. The top of my right ear is soooo sore and raw, and I can't see without my glasses. 😭 After watching a lot of your videos now, I see that my optician doesn't really know what he is doing. I can't keep buying new glasses. 😭
Check my reply to your first comment, its a good start :) also check the video about glasses loose behind the ear. I actually was using one of my metal temple frames to demonstrate in that video 😁
Thank you! Hoping your advice helps. I'm out of options here. I know I'm scew (actually just found that one out now 🙈) but glasses are bendable and I'm hoping that the problem can be fixed.
I've watched your video a few times. I hope I don't have to teach the optician that tried to help me. You're working on the left lens. Mine is the right, that's sitting on my cheek. Plus I have 2 scratches on one lens, of one pair of glasses and another scratch on the second pair of glasses that I have to deal with. I just want someone experienced for once. 😅
I'd readjust myself constantly. They'd either get worse, or no better. Never though of adjusting up the arm a bit. Now I'm not getting eyebrow oil on my lenses every time my glasses go on my face. Thanks again! Got a heatwave in Abbotsford BC here. So any thing I can keep from sticking to me is better than not. LOL@@ThatGlassesGuy03
😂 a relatable and devastating annoyance no doubt! It’s been an annoyingly humid summer here in my area in the states, but it hasn’t been quite as hot as we get usually. Wild year!
I literally have brand new glasses that and they touch my cheeks😭and my eyelashes without mascara or anything are touching my lenses and it’s so annoying and uncomfortable, I have a pretty big cheeks and round face so I keep thinking did I buy wrong type of frame for my face😞
Oh no!! Definitely more of a fit and frame choice issue in this case unless it has adjustable nose pads. But there is hope. Look on Amazon for “stick on nose pads” if you’re just single vision these can get you enough lift and move them just away enough to get the clearance you need 😁
plz tell me not any glasses fit on my face and right side is always closer to one eye it creates a distorted vison plz help me I can't wear any glasses 😭😭😭
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 even if I bent the left temple outward and right temple inwards, the right side is touching my eyebrow what should I do , it is closer to right side 🥲🥲🥲😣
Most likely pressing in just a bit too much behind the left ear, lots of heat for thick frames, they’re not kind to the fingers. Best to let your optical tackle it. 😎
Could you make this video on plastic frames ? Wish I could go to you for this as you seem to understand this discomfort that few can that do this for living!!
@angeltosee1676 the adjustment is the same, the only difference is you would use heat and make the bend more in the middle area of the temple arms. While note the “best/correct” way, it’s simple and quick and will work regardless of what is causing the problem. It can often be something much more complex to fix in other manners (actually why I based this video on a metal frame 😅). I’ll see if I can take a deeper dive into it either way acetate frames in the future! 🥂
If one side of the silicone nosepad is pressing at a much more pressure than the other side, should I expand or tighten that side of the temple leg (against the head)? It’s not the tightness of the hook at the back of the the temple leg, already loosen the angle all the way but it doesn’t affects.
Bring it in on the opposite side or out on the same side (assuming the pads are well adjusted) Correct the angle of the temple behind the ear has little affect on pressure on the nose (assuming it follows the contour of the skull and the bend is in the correct place of course, the bend too far forward can make a nose heavy frame quickly!)
How do I fix my glasses from being moved to left. My lens isn’t closer to my eye but it’s more like moved over so the part of the lens by the nose is moved almost on my eye. I’m not sure how to explain it as you can tell but it’s like the whole frame is moved to the left. It’s very noticeable and bothers me. Thank you for any help you can give me
@@holcm Gotchya, that's just a matter of shifting both nose pads to the left to bring the frame back to the right and center. I've got a video about adjusting nose pads somewhere around here.... 🤣 Here it is: ruclips.net/video/qDvR5zyliSk/видео.html
Very few people are symmetrical. Very likely one ear is slightly further back than the other, and/or adjustment is way out of whack in several ways causing the same affect 😅.
It's tricky to get right, and also can fail if it's a mechanical failure of the frame (spring hinge weak/failing, broken hinge, weak connection, etc). But typically as long as both sides are even and touching the sides of the face with the same pressure this will be resolved 🙂. It's one of the more tricky DIY fixes but still pretty straightforward as long as the frame is functioning correctly too 🙂 I would say take it to a shop but even most opticians struggle with this particular issue and fixing it.
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 i just tried with an old pair of glasses of mine that I gave up on for the same reasons. 80-90% fixed with your tips, so it probably has something to do with the exact glasses :). Unfortunately I'm leaving for a big trip in a few days and don't have time to have my new glasses fixed :(.
I get nervous bending the frame on my own... the one time I tried that I broke my frame in two. I will probably always go to the eye doc for this kind of thing.
Don’t discount the capabilities of an optician with no doctor owner or on the payroll ;) But of course I agree it’s best to leave it to the professionals when possible 😎
@That Glasses Guy so, actually my glasses have been digging in my nose a bit, so I have a bandaid on my nose and my glasses pads rest on top the bandaid. This has significantly improved my vision. I think i need new pads that are taller so my glasses dont get so close to my face when not having the bandaid under it. Any recommendations for pads for me? Or do i need new frames?
@@Xolomilco should be able to just have the pad arms (and maybe the temples as well) adjusted so that A) it’s fitting comfortably, but also B) lifts and moves the frame away a bit. If you’ve had these awhile it could be time for a new prescription as well, moving the frame up and away has the affect of altering the prescription as you actually see it.
Hi hi hi 🙋♀️ I need help! I have a crooked nose , as in the bridge of my nose are not align... it’s slightly off straight line 😂 ... how do I fix my sunglasses? Any advice /tips 😊
Hi Junnies!! Thats actually a great topic! If they have nose pads it's easy and I'll point you to another video.. if it's acetate, it's a more involved sculpting process and I would only recommend that done by the best opticians or frame craftsmen (truth be told.. even most opticians don't have a clue how to form or modify an acetate bridge)
One Lense closer on me cheek than the other. Multiple techs at the optician office can’t fix it and they make me feel crazy cuz none of their adjustments do anything. It is extremely annoying people can’t do their jobs. Still struggling to fix this with plastic frames.
ugh, it's a more dififcult adjustment to nail down, and especially with some plastics that just don't want to hold the bend... believe it or not, it can even come down to being the lens on that one side. All that really needs to happen is the side that is sitting too far out that temple needs to come in, but going about getting there can be a pain for some frames.
My metal frames are too stronger than yours! Thry are not bending like yours ! Please help adjust it ! I am very very sad by this please please😭😭help me🙏🙏
Opticians have strong fingers 🤣. Just find the spot further back where the material thins to make the adjustment. It doesn't look as nice, but gets it done. Otherwise proper tools are needed. Occasionally it can be a misalignment at the frame front around the nose area as well, but that's fairly unusual to come across
What can i do with one side of the spectacle touching the bone below my eyebrow? I’ve seen many people wearing oversized glasses, or normal glasses extend beyond their eyebrow, but it doesn’t touch the bone area, why is mine touching? What can i do? And when looked below the nose, the left side of the lens seems more outwards while the right side of the lens seems more inwards. The spectacle is hitting the right side of the bone. Would similar adjustment as in the video helps? As i tried to simulate it but seems it’s hitting the bone area so close to the center of my face, it seems like it might not help. Pls send help.
Yes the adjustment here would help if the frame is hitting heavily on one side AND has errors. Otherwise see my tips in the other comment you made about the video here - ruclips.net/video/kP2RXHIPCt8/видео.html 😁
My glasses are so annoying ! Kinda distortions I mean one side is up and the other is somehow down 😢😢😭 it's really annoying i cant use them and i dont know how to fix them and i have a big PAIN in my head right now :(
You must have quite the prescription! My wife at -5 can tell when the slightest thing is off and gets headaches from it too! You landed in the right part of youtube! Here's the magic you need my friend! ruclips.net/video/lNLnLWi9-nw/видео.html
That’s gonna be a firm “it depends”. In general no. But? If there are sharp edges from the frame or lens it’s certainly possible. Of course I’m no aesthetician or dermatologist 😅
Hey! Thanks for the video. I have a really specific problem with my glasses and I'm hoping you can help. So basically my glasses only rest on the left side of my nose leaving a very small gap between the right side of my nose and the frame. It drives me crazy! And also my glasses rest on my nose when I am looking straight ahead but when I look down, my glasses don't fall off my face but rather rest on my ears. So when I rock my head back and forth while looking down, my glasses also move back and forth. It's really annoying whenever I need to look down.
Sounds like this frame is way out of whack. I have a two fold response here as it likely has a lot going on. It will need returned to a standard alignment, and then the temples behind the ears readjusted to keep it from slipping forward as much when looking down. As for the bridge gap on the one side, if those changes don't fix it, it could be anything from anatomical difference (broken noses and deviated septum are fairly common issues that cause wierd fits to watch for when choosing a frame). For videos on those adjustments..... the bench one being more technical as it is optician aimed (only one like that). Loose behind ears: ruclips.net/video/q2G7s3bEjHo/видео.html Return to standard: ruclips.net/video/MrW4erXMnZI/видео.html Hope this helps! :)
Sorry to hear that! Sometimes getting the adjustment just right is difficult, add in masks and people generally being afraid of getting close and it increases the difficulty exponentially. Keep at them, or give the tips in this video a try! I find this problem to be one of the more annoying ones, but it is also an easy fix as long as it isn't down to one side having a weak spring hinge or material weak spot reducing clamping force on one side (in which case the frame is at fault and any adjustment to fix it will only compensate until it fails fully) 😶 I wouldn't expect that of a new frame though.
As long as the glasses are sitting even and functioning well visually all good. We’re not perfectly symmetrical and an exaggerated smile exaggerates the features. :)
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 they are in fairness. My new suns are the same, hard smiling touching both cheeks but otherwise good. I think i may be suffering from OCD with my glasses. Maybe its time i accept that my head is my head
@@barrylonergan hah, that's ususally a good place to start, unless you wanna restart the super slim profile micro frame trend and slide them way out to the tip of your nose so thehy never touch. (I don't recommend it, LOL!)
Hi! Question: I have a pair of glasses I'm hoping to have my rx lenses installed into. The frame is curved inward at the edges. This is causing the lens itself to touch my eyelashes when I wear makeup, feels like with an mm or two's difference this would not happen. Would the addition of my rx lenses straighten the frames out? I feel like this tends to happen when they install my lenses in the past, but not sure if I'm imagining things. I'm a -6 and get trivex. After 25 years of terrible fitting glasses I am getting picky with fit and investing more. Thanks in advance!
Hi Jay! Honestly it depends on who is installing the lenses. A -6 will be a very flat curve lens, and the bevel curve as well as proper sizing of the lens will determine how much the frame flattens out. I love they you've not been duped into the 1.67/1.74 high index train most -6 wearers get sucked into!! I would suggest asking about hivex though! It has better dimensional stability and overall nicer optics than trivex while also running a bit thinner 😁. Oh, tangent sorry... so, MOST especially with trivex will be making those lenses in a way that the curve isn't compensated and the lens often a hair big creating a very flared/flattened out frame. But flattening the frame typically won't improve lashes touching and flatter lenses make the problem itself worse. The bridge can be sculpted or modified to improve this, or the lenses can be ordered with more curvature to give a little extra room as well :)
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 Thanks for the tip! Honestly not so sure about Trivex even. Since I seem to need AR coating but not into the constant smudges and easy scratches. Seems to defeat the purpose. :( It's hard to find good opticians here that gives good advice. They tell me it's Trivex but then i see 1.7 something written in the notes for the lab??? I'm so confused!
Can u help me i have the opposite problem (and i have that rubber nose support one) Glasses are too far off my cheek i can rub my eyes when my glasses are on.
The short answer is to move the nose pads towards the lens, but maintain their angle and position otherwise. Unless they're sitting too high as well, which would mean the pads also need spread apart more to lower it as well as bring it in 🙂 a distance of 8-12mm from the eyes for metals with pads is pretty normal, at the top range of that you can still usually sneak a finger in and rub your eyes (not good don't do it 🤣)
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 thanks man i found ur video about how to adjust ur nose pads which helped me a lot. We dont have to ask anything you have told everything before 🤣 Thanks for reply.
Unfortunately, that's just a poor fit. There are stick on pads you can find on amazon that will help some, or you can have proper lifting pads fused to the frame (usually $80 or so for those to be installed on your frame as long as it's the correct material). Sometimes the bridge can be manipulated and mechanically shortened but that won't usually make enough difference if both are resting oretty heavily on the cheeks.
Long term effects, no. It can absolutely affect vision particularly in stronger powers or when freeform designs are used, as the lens is designed to sit at a certain place in front of the eyes 😁
if the glasses has adjustable nose pads, how do u decide to adjust the nosepad or to adjust the temple legs? since pushing one side of the nosepad push that side of the glasses outwards, and pulling one side of the nosepad outwards pull that side of the glasses inwards, hence it has the same effect as what u mentioned on adjusting the temple legs right? would it make sense that if for example the situation that the left side of the glasses is driven more outwards that the right side, however the right side of the nosepad is already causing a lot more pressure on the nose bridge compared to the left nosepad, so it wouldn't make sense to pull the right side of the nosepad away (even though it has the effect of loosening pressure on the right side) as it would pull the right side of the glasses even more inwards, and it wouldn't make sense to push the left nosepads inwards (to have more pressure on the left side/ loosen the pressure on the right side) as it would cause the left side of the glasses to push even more outwards? so in this case it would be better to adjust the temple legs compared to the nosepads?
Not quite. Think of the nose pads as specifically only moving front position in one plane. The temples take care of the rest. So pads can move the frame up/down/left/right and the temples control tilt. Moving one temple in or out moves one side closer or further from the face. This also relieves pressure on the nose. I choose based on what’s needed. It’s very easy to get hyper focused on nose pads when they’re present, but once they’re set at the correct angles and the frame sitting at the proper height there’s not much that needs to be done with them.
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 i replied twice but i'm not sure why it's not posted here. i don't quite get on how the nosepads are able to shift the glasses left or right. could u help me understand how does shifting the nosepads help to shift the glasses left or right? and do u mean if the temple legs adjustment are good, more or less the nosepads would be have symmetrical adjustment (not one outwards one inwards etc.)? Lastly, my situation is that for every specs i wear, the right nosepad would be touching the nose bridge with force, while the left nosepad would either be floating or touching very loosely. Would this requires me to adjust the temple legs first, instead of the nosepads? oh btw pls don't get offended, i don't mean to be rude, most optometrists that I've visited don't know their stuffs and can't help me get my spec fixed, and u seem to be one of the few that are more detailed and knows ur stuff, hence i have to ask for ur advice.
The tips here work for any metal frame except beta flex materials, and even those to some degree depending on their adjustment points. The temples I’m adjusting in the video are stainless steel.
I'll be revisiting plastic frame adjustments soon, thats been a pretty common question ok the adjustment series. The short answer is, if you're unsure find a professional to take care of it :). The longer answer is, there are a wide range of plastic materials out there, and their adjustability and heat requirement to do so varies a LOT (and why I've largely avoided posting any blanket video for "plastic frame adjustment" :) if there is a metal core, you're pretty safe to put some heat to it and do the adjustments like in this video, if you can't tell if there is a metal core, or don't see one at all, I would avoid making any changes there.
How do I fix this for metal frames? My glasses fit in a way where they sit so low on my cheeks they rub it raw from the metal frame I assume. Do I need a different style?
Just need to adjust the pad arms to move the frame up and out. Depending on your rx and lenses it may be too late for that 😬. I've got a video around here somewhere for nose pad adjustment. I'll dig it up for you in a bit 🙂 ruclips.net/video/y_iJon1gQgg/видео.html. This gets into it a bit 🙂
Typically they have built in adjustment points, but its hard to get enough pressure in the right place to do it without the right pliers. Same concept though, the side that is closest needs to come in towards the face more, or the side that is further away needs to go away from the face more (ex. Looking down at glasses, this first one would be close on the left side.) !_/ adjust the right side in. \_! Left side needs to go in /_! Left side needs to go out, !_\ right side needs to go out. :) typically it's more subtle and even hard to look at and see, but this is basically what's going on that needs corrected, most often from taking glasses off with one hand or laying on them 🙃
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 Thank you. I just got a pair of Modo titanium glasses. I love them but they are super thin and in afraid to put pressure on them. I feel like it's my face and that no matter the adjustment my glasses are always in on the right side of my cheek. Sigh...
Everyone's face is different, that's why adjustments are necessary. 😁 that titanium is a very strong material. And the adjustment points are usually a monel blend, good stuff and easy to work with. Not too much to be afraid of typically. Titanium is pretty expensive to work with some cheaper ones often have weld failure, so that's one thing to keep an eye on depending on the make and build quality, regardless definitely an easy fix for a good optician :)

Yikes, what a nightmare!!!! I’m glad you found these videos to help, however, and thrilled you found some relief 😎
Finally i solved this issue also! BTW this problem can be caused by uneven ears.
Totally get that! Seems everyone has short or reduced hours these days making it even harder! Glad this video helped you out 😁
Thank you for the video. I’m from England, hello! I get a line under my eye on top of cheeks with my specs so going to try and adjust them.
Best of luck! most likely the whole bridge needs adjusted if it's on both cheeks :)

I ask people all the time “ do you take these off with one hand” or “hmmm do you place these on top of your head” their answer is almost always, “ no” until I say, “ I’m only asking because I am seeing this with your frame, but I want to be sure I am being sure I am making the correct adjustments to customize your fitting for your face” and almost always the answer changes…
we ALWAYS know.. just like the dentist. LOL
It’s a struggle. Surprising one of the adjustments that many opticians struggle with 🥶 good luck!
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 Super unlucky of me, lol. Thanks. 😓

🙌 That's no way to wear glasses for sure!! Glad this video helped get you sorted!!
Thank you so much!

This is definitely the video I've been looking for!!!
Glad to hear it!!! 😁🥰
Is a fix like this possible with flexible/bendy frames? I try and bend the arms and they just correct themselves to what they were before
Yes, even the flexible frames have specific points they’re meant to be adjusted at. Usually at the point the frame front connects to the temple arm :)
can u demonstrate how moving the nosepads will shift the glasses left or right?
Let’s see if I can throw together some shorts of some super fast tweaks 😎
Thx
Yw!
Thank you!!!
I’m having issues where one lens sits closer to one eye than the other
Then you're definitely in the right place!
Metal frames with nose pads will rarely fit as close as a plastic for sure, sounds normal for someone use to plastic 🙂

Super helpful video!
❤️🔥🙌
How do you do this with an acetate frame that has metal inside it please?
Exactly as I go over. Acetate will always have a metal core, and perhaps the easiest to adjust of all. I’ve got a video here over warming if needed, but in general high quality acetate is right at the perfect temperature for adjustments when worn 🖤
Can i ask silly question 🙈
Are plastic pads bendable?
it's only silly if you dind't ask :)
To some degree, but very very little, and it's easy to ruin them.

Glad you found this video helpful 🙌
I just noticed why my eye lashes hit my lens on one eye. Sometimes it rubs my eyelid. I have one side of my face more prominent than the other ! How do I adjust for that !?? I use to wear contacts only and never noticed until I switched to glasses.
Essentially the same adjustment as if it were too close from just being poorly adjusted or stretched. So all the rules in this video still apply :)
I wish I could run into you to fix my glasses. 😭😭 They hurt me on my right ear. Always feels as if I want to lift it of my right ear. It's hurting so bad and I have gone back so many time with no results.
Ugh, that's the worst! I've had a pair on occasion even for myself that happens with, but it is "usually" an easy fix :)
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 oh thanks for your response. How can I fix that? Is it possible for me to fix that myself? I have a plastic frame with metal temples now.

The principle is the same no matter which side it is :). Good luck out there! It’s like the Wild West or something these days ☠️

Thank you so much for making this video!!!! It really helped 😊

@@ThatGlassesGuy03 even if I bent the left temple outward and right temple inwards, the right side is touching my eyebrow what should I do , it is closer to right side 🥲🥲🥲😣
How would u recommend doing it for plastic thick frames. The frame on left cheek is farther away from cheek after I took them to be bent for ear
Bring it in on the opposite side or out on the same side (assuming the pads are well adjusted)
Correct the angle of the temple behind the ear has little affect on pressure on the nose (assuming it follows the contour of the skull and the bend is in the correct place of course, the bend too far forward can make a nose heavy frame quickly!)
Thank you for any help you can give me
It also looks as if my eye is closer to my nose on one side of face even though it’s not if that helps
@@holcm Gotchya, that's just a matter of shifting both nose pads to the left to bring the frame back to the right and center. I've got a video about adjusting nose pads somewhere around here.... 🤣

Awesome! Glad to hear this helped you!! 😁😁
What causes one arm to go farther back along your ear than the other arm?
Very few people are symmetrical. Very likely one ear is slightly further back than the other, and/or adjustment is way out of whack in several ways causing the same affect 😅.
Thanks for the try, but didn't do the trick for me and I'm going insane.

That Glasses Guy yup LOL 😂

Can frame touching cheeck cause any scar on cheeks if u use it regularly?

Went to get my glasses adjusted 3 times now. They fix d crooked problem but not this. Im starting to regret ever buying this glasses. Im sad
Mine weren't like that because of sitting on them but because I got hit in the face with a ball
Seems like that was super common this year looking back 😅

Is possible on Oakley Ckankshaft sunglasses?
To close to my left eye
Looks like those are an injected plastic or MAYBE nylon. Gonna be tough to get the movement you need out of one of those to fix it.
Can u help me i have the opposite problem (and i have that rubber nose support one)
Glasses are too far off my cheek i can rub my eyes when my glasses are on.

How to do this on metal frame?
Since the adjustment here is all in the temple the steps will be identical. The temple on the example frame is stainless steel :)
i have plastic glasses and both the eye touches my cheeks, what do i do
Unfortunately, that's just a poor fit.
Just got new glasses and it rubs on one cheek and close on the other side.
Hi, I have been suffering with headaches on the side that my glasses and cheeks touch, only just put the two together, could it be the cause? Thanks
it "could" but I wouldn't suspect so. typically that would cause increased pressure on t he side they aren't touching on believe it or not!
I have this happening Rn and I hate it so much
It can be so frustrating!
Hey, does this problem (unless fixed) affect one's eyesight? Please, reply. I'm going crazy over this. I have progressive myopia.
Long term effects, no. It can absolutely affect vision particularly in stronger powers or when freeform designs are used, as the lens is designed to sit at a certain place in front of the eyes 😁
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 Thank you for replying :)
You're welcome 😁
if the glasses has adjustable nose pads, how do u decide to adjust the nosepad or to adjust the temple legs? since pushing one side of the nosepad push that side of the glasses outwards, and pulling one side of the nosepad outwards pull that side of the glasses inwards, hence it has the same effect as what u mentioned on adjusting the temple legs right?
would it make sense that if for example the situation that the left side of the glasses is driven more outwards that the right side, however the right side of the nosepad is already causing a lot more pressure on the nose bridge compared to the left nosepad, so it wouldn't make sense to pull the right side of the nosepad away (even though it has the effect of loosening pressure on the right side) as it would pull the right side of the glasses even more inwards, and it wouldn't make sense to push the left nosepads inwards (to have more pressure on the left side/ loosen the pressure on the right side) as it would cause the left side of the glasses to push even more outwards? so in this case it would be better to adjust the temple legs compared to the nosepads?
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 pls help with the comment that i posted in the same section, really appreciate it.
How to fix crooked glasses made up of stainless steel material?
The tips here work for any metal frame except beta flex materials, and even those to some degree depending on their adjustment points. The temples I’m adjusting in the video are stainless steel.
Thank God I thought my cheeks were asymmetrical and deformed 😂
I mean, most people are at least a little asymmetrical, and still beautiful 🤪 but glad you found this to get your glasses fitting properly! 😎 🥂
I have this so bad and my glasses place won’t do anything about it
😳 well, good thing you found this video, because it’s not a super complex fix! 😎
Hi,This is exactly my problem but I have plastic frame.I think it will break if i bend it.Is there anything I can do?

I'll dig it up for you in a bit 🙂
ruclips.net/video/y_iJon1gQgg/видео.html. This gets into it a bit 🙂
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 thank you! I tried it today and now i have a much comfortable experience!
🙌❤️🔥 That's what I'm here for 😁😁
I broke them 😂😂
Ooph! What a way to end the year! Sorry to hear that! It definitely happens even to the best of us :/
Holy Moly Batman! It worked! Mystery solved again! 🦹🏻♂️
😁😁 thanks for watching and glad the video helped you!!! 😎
How do you make this adjustment on titanium glasses?

Thank you.
