2021 Swiss Epic Stage 4 | XC Race POV

- Another one in the bag! Stage 4 was super fun; they call it “the single track stage” and hell yeah that’s true. We were treated with an extra dose for rocky, rootsy, crazy steep technical trails covered with a tasteful amount of slippery mud. Literally Heaven. And with the perfect equipment for the job makes it so rewarding. The Spark with its FOX34 is bouncing up and down, flying over the big muddy roots like it’s a flow trail. The Kenda Regolith tires are keeping the bike pinned, even on (the very frequent) 20% grade slippery uphills. And the TIME pedals are unbothered by the brutal conditions. Amazing.

Awesome video's! Perfect for on the trainer! What camera (and batteries) do you use to film these full stages? Or is it hooked to a power bank or something? Curious about your camera setup...

haha....it's physically and mentally tough and the terrain is unforgiving, its hard to have confidence when the front end is rattling and loose. we got it sorted and I said sorry...

Hi! I used the SanDisk Extreme 256GB. I could fit at least two days on one I think. And I had a couple for the whole event.
Was a great video to watch, I'd love to get into it again but too old and medical condition stops me unfortunately.

Great video as usual! Didn't get what happened to your teammate fork?
we tightened the headset and i think possibly for a few of the descents the fork wasn't unlocking properly so all i was getting was a locked fork that was blowing off on bigger hits. adjusted the cables after the stage and all was well.
@@peterwilson1831 well, not the best option on that rocky and rooty trails. However, you managed it pretty well.
@@MrTloster thankfully it sorted itself mid-stage. the lock-out not working was my best guess!

I still haven't figured out what the problem is with the Quarq power meter. It happened again another time and changing the battery fixed it even though it was new already. Maybe it doesn't like the Energizer brand idk.
@@bengoyette Yes sometimes the battery shape varies slightly between different brands and there will be a contact issue. I personally experienced that with my XOSS heart rate sensor.
