The fact that we're celebrating awesome 80's commercials says something about the times. I doubt in 20 years people will be saying hey remember those commercials from 2020. 80s rocked!
80sCommercialVault I love all your uploads! It's great to be able to go back & reminisce on these days of advertising! I miss the way commercials used to be. Thank you so much for your hard work on this channel! 😊👍
I think it's hilarious how they mention things like, 'Better than McDonald's chicken nuggets" they really challenge their competitors and call them out in their commercials lol
We were the last generation that grew up without internet. Young people today will never know the hassle (and expense) of placing a long distance call (remember calling cards???) or having to have operator assistance to credit a call/place a call. I'm just amazed we survived our fashion choices. Still reeling from the late 70s and disco, let's just say fashion hadn't evolved....and the big hair (LOL). Thanks for the Boston news bumper, I grew up in Boston. It was an extra nice touch of nostalgia.
I still have some toys from the 80s and my heman twin bed sheet set that's dated 1983 on it.... In the 80s everything was new and fresh and unique.. Music.. Radio.. Videos.. Fashion.. Movies.. Cartoons... Sitcoms... Commercials... No other decade was the coolest
The 80s were truly an amazing experience. Everything was wayyy better. No internet or technology like now, but still way better. Cartoons in the 80s were simply unforgettable
My most favorite Saturday morning cartoons were Dungeons and Dragons and Pole Position. But most cartoons from the 70's & 80's were pretty awesome though.
Wow! I had no idea your channel existed till tonight. Thank you so much for capturing these classics! It almost brings tears to my eyes when I look back at some of them. The eighties really were the best time to be a kid I swear :) And kudos to you for your organization of everything!
Doesn't seem like the wonderful 1980's decade could be as long ago as it was.I'd love to wake up some morning and find out it is 1980, and that I am 19. Wow!!! I recall all these ads.
I wish I could be a kid in the 80’s thanks for making these videos they are really awesome and the thing is I feel like it was happier and more fun but now it’s serious and kids stay inside and play on phones and back then they played outside and were free and being in the 80’s looked awesome
omg i didnt' realize you uploaded this 14 years ago and im now seeing this...i've been hidiing with all these new age awefule commercials please gimme the 80's back
Tell me about it ! I hate hate hate all these new commercials now & these days (2000-thru-NOW 2022) . Im 53 years young & these 70s , 80s & 90s commercials bring back so many childhood memories growing up .
This brought back so many memories! :) I was a kid in the 80s and remember most of these commercials. When I saw the Smurfs, that warm, comfortable feeling came over me again, just like I remember as a kid. I always liked the Smurfs cartoon (among many others, of course, like G.I. Joe, Transformers, Rambo, Ducktales, etc.). :) The 80s were fun for kids! :)
Hey 80'sCommercial Vault, just wanted to let you know that I appreciate all the videos that you've uploaded. As an 80's kid, these videos bring back memories of a simpler time. I've lost a parent and grandparents since then, but seeing these I can remember actually watching some of these with them. Especially my mom and grandfather. Thanks again.
Who caresses their cereal before they eat it lol . I wish I was still sitting in the floor eating count chocula watching Looney Tunes in my Lord of the Rings pajamas
I was born in '97, so I am neither an 80s nor 90s child, but that being said I am fascinated by these eras. There's just something kind of intriguing about them. I'm studying as much 80s as possible right now in preparation for Ready Player One in a few weeks
I was born in '98, but seeing commercials from the 90s really gives me some nostalgia since a lot of the commercials from that era would still play on tv during my young childhood
Didn't know how good we had it, when I live in today's world I graduated high school in 1990, so I'm glad I got to experience life in the 80s. I was born in 72, but I don't remember as much about the seventies, as I do the eighties. Great Times for sure.
At 2:00, that's back when Red Lobster was a GREAT place to eat. Nowadays, it's nothing but overpriced crap. In fact, the fried flounder at Captain D's Seafood is just as good as that of Red Lobster 20 years ago, and at a similar price to what it was back then.
My wife just spent the day watching all of 314 volumes of these 80's commercials collection, especially since we've been snowed in for the last 36 hours. But it's been quite fun actually. These commercials helped bring back so many fun, wonderful memories to both of us. Thanks for all the hard work in recording, loading, listing, and categorizing, all of them for everyone to watch. Great Job.
Ahhh yes....I remember Lynn Redgrave in about a billion Weight Watchers commercials, Burger King could still compete with McDonalds (I miss chicken tenders), and there was always a jingle. Not to mention the trillions of "Extra" commercials...mostly with twins.
im a '82 baby and growing up i never thought twice at how goofy these commercials are,but now that i look them up on utube in present time..i actually have a good laugh at them. love watching other remembering the 80's vids too(toys, cartoons, etc)
Man, I was born in '81, last year Generation X, or what people are now calling xennials, and looking back on it now, feels like simpler times compared to now.
I hadn't heard of that term xenials (?) But I knew we were gen x. In the year 2020, they're trying to lump us together with the millennials. 🧐 I'm confused
Just started watching 80s commercials after watching the 90s commercials set in their entirety....and while I will miss the video game commercials and the nicktoons shows I grew up watching, its going to be interesting what things were like back then. The commercials from what ive seen so far are super corny in a creative way that can only be in the style that can only be attributed to the 80s(the Hanes commercial and Nabisco commercial immediately come to mind here). Or they have a super aggressive bite to them when they're selling you something compared to the competition(and to actually name drop competition)something i really felt lacking in regards to the 90s commercials outside of the obvious "Sega do what Nintendon't" slogan, and became more nonexistent in the commercials of the '00s up to now(but in all fairness now lives on in spirit in the form of Twitter posts),but its refreshing to see that tactic. My only complaint so far is the lack of beloved advertising icons so far,but im ready to see what weird stuff this decade has up its sleeve...cant wait. And yeah, keep putting up videos for the decades fora long ass time, having these up and making more available is a true service to people who didnt live or remember those decades because its a preservation of different times in American history and an inspiration to current and future generations.
How is it that I just now found these? Thank you for uploading these! I cannot imagine how many old VHS tapes you must have lying around lol. It's really amazing how one can forget all about some of these, and when seen again it's like "OMG I remember that!" And then - whooosh! suddenly, I'm a kid in the 80's again watching tv on the living room floor with my favorite pillow and blankie. Ahhh nostalgia. These are great!
The girl at 4:52 in the Generra clothing commercial is Amanda Pays. She was in Oxford Blues with Rob Lowe in 1984. She's married to Corbin Bernsen now.
Thank you so much for creating this channel. 80's TV was such a big part of my life and to be able to watch the commercials, which let's face it as a kid were our favorite parts, is so wonderful. Keep adding whatever you find! Isn't it funny how many kids who are now grown TV/Movie stars are in these? Beverly Mitchell from 7th Heaven was a tiny kid! And BTW, I loved the 80's BK chicken tenders!
Much more simplistic and carefree times indeed. In consideration the USD has inflated approximately 205% since 1980, that same meal would cost about $5.93 in 2018. Nevertheless a nice reminder of when this guy rocked Underoos, Toughskins, and my All-Pro Trax 4000 bike
I was born way after the 80's so I'll never see what it was like but i love seeing all these old commercials. It's like I can almost imagine what it was like to be there. And although I never got to see the crazy fashion and hairstyles of that time it will forever be my favorite time era! I LOVE THE 80'S!!!!
Amazing video 80CV. It's a damn shame I wasn't around during this wonderful decade (was born in October 1990), but boy, the commercials bring nostalgia back to me when I never lived through there.
It's always amazing to see how far we've come in terms of technology and trends, but man, do these hold a piece of my heart. I was born in 1990, very much so unfortunately, but I do remember commercials of this same caliber around the time that were light and fun. Probably my favorite was Kool Aid Koolers, the jingle is amazing!
That Captain EO commercial is great! Somewhere there's a clip of Mark Hamill calling it "The Next Star Wars" I remember that I would love to track down.
That's possibly from the "Captain EO Grand Opening" TV special, which I posted ads from back in Vol. 281: ruclips.net/video/uXCgI69q4BY/видео.html I think I still have that around somewhere and can check if that's in there.
God Bless You For Posting These Clips. It is freakin Weird, I actualy remember everyone of these commercials as if it were yesterday. Shows That I Was A Kid That Grew Up On TV
I went to Disney World recently, and my number one priority on my first day at EPCOT was to go see Captain EO. It was every bit of 80's cheese that I wanted it to be. In other words, I liked it.
Odd to think that that a bunch of corporate heads were like 'no, don't throw out the old mj stuff... He'll croak soon an we can reuse it for the "tribute factor"...' Wringing their capitalist hands in gleeful anticipation
That Generra commercial is so pretentious, but I knew a lot of kids that sported this line of clothing in high school. LOL. Were we that shallow, really?
80"s commericals were so awesome! They had such great jingles that til this day, people STILL remember! It was such a simple colorful decade! How times have changed! Wahhh :-(

DarkVoid i miss the tenders as well! They nuggets are OK, but not as good as the tenders were! Now they were off the chain!
☝️😊
These commercials shall never be purged again.
Watching Vol. 1 all over again. I think I started watching your 80's videos in 2010 or 2012 back when I was in college.
We were the last generation that grew up without internet. Young people today will never know the hassle (and expense) of placing a long distance call (remember calling cards???) or having to have operator assistance to credit a call/place a call. True !!!!
Yes!!! To this whole comment. I grew up in NY in the 80s. The best decade ever!!!!
I still have some toys from the 80s and my heman twin bed sheet set that's dated 1983 on it.... In the 80s everything was new and fresh and unique.. Music.. Radio.. Videos.. Fashion.. Movies.. Cartoons... Sitcoms... Commercials... No other decade was the coolest
Most of the commercials had an upbeat, positive attitude. Ahh the 80s!..........
I can totally relate. And they were funny, too.
The fact that they can compare with other companies instead of saying 'competing brands'
Lei is the Fuzzion Companies can choose to advertise this way, there are no restrictions against it.
I think part of the reason they typically don't is so they can covertly compare themselves to minor brands rather than their major competitors.
👏🏼👏🏼☝️
The 80s were truly an amazing experience. Everything was wayyy better. No internet or technology like now, but still way better. Cartoons in the 80s were simply unforgettable
My most favorite Saturday morning cartoons were Dungeons and Dragons and Pole Position. But most cartoons from the 70's & 80's were pretty awesome though.
You are a gift. Thanks for keeping this on here so long
I wish I could travel back to this amazing decade
Nick Beast yes!!

I miss the 80's. Life was so much funner.
Doesn't seem like the wonderful 1980's decade could be as long ago as it was.I'd love to wake up some morning and find out it is 1980, and that I am 19. Wow!!! I recall all these ads.

Lps Rainbow Star Kitten I was a kid back in the 80’s and it was truly a magical time. A far simpler time than what we’ve got going on now.
Yep it was awesome .Goonies never say die.

I remember these commercials vividly. Damn I miss the 80s.
👏🏼

lmao I just noticed the date too, I was like "Damn you uploaded this RIGHT before things got really bad" xD
Best decade ever. Thank you all your post!
Kinda crazy how now this first upload is over 10 years old, the uploads themselves are retro beyond its content.
Thanks for this channel.
After watching these a few times, I don't know if I remember the commercials from when they aired, or from watching these clips.
I was born in 1991...in the UK, so I know my answer there! ;)
Still, yeah! It's quite fascinating how that is overtime.
I was 10 years old when these commercials aired. The Sticklets, Duracell, and Extra commercials took me back!
This brought back so many memories! :)
I was a kid in the 80s and remember most of these commercials. When I saw the Smurfs, that warm, comfortable feeling came over me again, just like I remember as a kid. I always liked the Smurfs cartoon (among many others, of course, like G.I. Joe, Transformers, Rambo, Ducktales, etc.). :)
The 80s were fun for kids! :)
erin mefford I did watch pound puppies a lot back then, but did not see shirt tales!
Shirts flash? lol I'll check it out. :)

"What's the deal with Grape-Nuts? There's no grapes. There's no nuts."

I got both of you beat. I was born in 1980, just at the right time to enjoy the 80's & 90's.
Dang this is still going even to this day.
I wasn't around in the 80's, but I will show these to my dad because he was born in 1972 =)
Burger King tenders were good back then. 👍
1980s television was the best even the commercials were not as dramatic as todays commercials
I'm always calling people Inspector 12 when they are being particularly nosey, but nobody ever gets it lol.
😅😊👏🏼
I wish I could build a time machine cause I really miss the 80s
You can't tell what 99% of the commercials today are trying to sell
garbage
greatest youtube channel of all time
I agree! I LOVE this channel!
Irish Goomba I agree too! A real time machine!
Whoa, I didn't know that you were uploading videos of old commercials for a decade! Thank you
Didn't know how good we had it, when I live in today's world
I graduated high school in 1990, so I'm glad I got to experience life in the 80s. I was born in 72, but I don't remember as much about the seventies, as I do the eighties. Great Times for sure.
Yes and look at the world now. What happened?
At 2:00, that's back when Red Lobster was a GREAT place to eat. Nowadays, it's nothing but overpriced crap. In fact, the fried flounder at Captain D's Seafood is just as good as that of Red Lobster 20 years ago, and at a similar price to what it was back then.
I remember almost all of these commercials...sigh!
Wow they had a jingle for like every commercial back then put a lot of effort in it unlike today oh man the good ole days
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

oh wait...I think that was Doublemint...not Extra.
dude I could go for a 25 pack of tenders right now....you know they are carving fresh boneless chicken in the back too hahahahahahaha
😊☝️👏🏼
I used to dance to the extra gum music when I was a kid!! I remember it like yesterday and I'll be 40 next year, scary.
Those chicken tenders look really good! They don't look like that anymore.
It’s incredible how much time has passed, just watching this makes me feel like it happened not too long ago.

4:11 I love how the person didn't time their cue right and went for the chicken then hesitated and then grabbed it again.
They're supposed to be hot. It's intentional.
THE BEST DECADE.
TenThirty-Two I KNOW IT LOOKED LIKE AN AWESOME DECADE

What I wouldn't give to get into a time machine and go back to the 80's :) I was born in '93, but I oh so wish I were born in the 80's D:
Pure television gold,,, man I wish I can go back,,😥
i remember so many of these commercials and jingles! I was 9 at the time.
No one ruled the 80's bigger than Michael Jackson, Captain Eo was one of disney's biggest attractions!

Thank you so much for posting. Brings back such a good feeling.
The girl at 4:52 in the Generra clothing commercial is Amanda Pays. She was in Oxford Blues with Rob Lowe in 1984. She's married to Corbin Bernsen now.
These commercials are cool but stupid to the ones we have oh but thx for the helpful info
She was also in Max Headroom
All the rich kids got Hi-C and Fruit Roll Ups, while I had to watch them eat and drink. :( Very sad childhood. LOL
This collection made me real hungry for some reason.
Thank you so much for posting this. Brings back a lot of memories!
Don't remember these ads as not being American but love watching these old ads much better then today's me thinks
Thank you so much for creating this channel. 80's TV was such a big part of my life and to be able to watch the commercials, which let's face it as a kid were our favorite parts, is so wonderful. Light blue Extra was the bomb! I practically lived on that stuff in the '80s and '90s.
And Holy Shit!! A kid's plate was $1.95 at Red Lobster! A drink is probably that much now.
min wage was like 3.25 too lol
Sezja Maelstrom hell yea my dad landed an 11$ an hour job and we though we won the lottery lol

"Pizza with pepperoni, mozzarella, no baloney!" My mother hated this commercial. Nevertheless, she got hooked on Weight Watchers. :)
Great seeing Amanda Pays in that Generra ad. Such a lovely lady with quite the voice.
dang burger king really went after mcdonalds like that
Oh the 80's! I miss them & thank you for posting these commercials. Takes me back!
And not one big pharma ad.
This was great
I've had that Hi-C jingle stuck in my head all day LOL.
Am I the only one who thinks girls from the 80's are cuter than today?
😊☝️👏🏼
I was born way after the 80's so I'll never see what it was like but i love seeing all these old commercials. It's like I can almost imagine what it was like to be there. And although I never got to see the crazy fashion and hairstyles of that time it will forever be my favorite time era! I LOVE THE 80'S!!!!
Nabisco! *ting*
Uuuuh Captain Eo!!!! I watched that. OwO My first 4D movie EVER.
Amazing video 80CV. It's a damn shame I wasn't around during this wonderful decade (was born in October 1990), but boy, the commercials bring nostalgia back to me when I never lived through there.
Those burger king chicken tenders look good....
Compared to the nuggets they got today that are so cheap they're suspiciously worrisome, god damn don't they look good!
It's always amazing to see how far we've come in terms of technology and trends, but man, do these hold a piece of my heart. I was born in 1990, very much so unfortunately, but I do remember commercials of this same caliber around the time that were light and fun. I miss the catchy jingles, modern commercials need more catchy jingles.
Today's commercials SUCK!
☝️👏🏼👏🏼
Good stuff! I can't wait to watch the rest of these wonderful time capsules! Thanks for all your hard work.
That Captain EO commercial is great! Somewhere there's a clip of Mark Hamill calling it "The Next Star Wars" I remember that I would love to track down.
That's possibly from the "Captain EO Grand Opening" TV special, which I posted ads from back in Vol. 281: ruclips.net/video/uXCgI69q4BY/видео.html
I think I still have that around somewhere and can check if that's in there.
I saw that Captain EO movie at Disney World/Epcot back in the summer of 88 I believe. I was only 5 or 6 so my memories of it are quite vague.
God Bless You For Posting These Clips.
It is freakin Weird, I actualy remember everyone of these commercials as if it were yesterday.
Shows That I Was A Kid That Grew Up On TV
I was 7 yrs old . Good ol days 😊
These commercials bring back my childhood. Maybe the world wasn't safer or better, but we had some damn good tv. Thank you, thank you forever.
2:00 I remember this Commercial! Nostalgia to see it again
Nostalgic in a different way (I remember watching this vid long ago)
0:30 If I could wake up every day at a lake front cabin and eat Grape Nuts, I'd have it made too. Well, not sure about the Grape Nuts part
I would have cherrios.
@@Negamare1 I was thinking Lucky Charms myself
Grape nuts was my favourite as a kid. It was the only one my brother and sister wouldn't touch. So I grew to like it.
I love Grapenuts. The malty flavor is so good and the best way to have them is hot. Lots of sugar of course.
Thanks for recording and sharing these time capsules
Thanks for the nostalgia
Those chicken tenders were legit ...
now they're back
Jack McKeague are they the same?
@@UnpersonDoublethink maybe not the same exact ones, but they introduced tenders at Burger King
@@UnpersonDoublethink i wouldn't know given I was born in 1995
Jack McKeague thanks for the tip. I'll check them out
I want to have a TV channel with these.
Good collection of 80's commercials. Thanks for posting!
I went to Disney World recently, and my number one priority on my first day at EPCOT was to go see Captain EO. It was every bit of 80's cheese that I wanted it to be. In other words, I liked it.

YOU ROCK! THanks for putting all these together. I canotbelive the High C omggggggggg! I used to love it. Thank you so much this is my new pass time.!
Well now I know where the Nostalgia Critic has been getting his commercials for his commercial review specials.
it's so wonderful to be able to go back to the 80's and visit for around 10 minutes.....
That Generra commercial is so pretentious, but I knew a lot of kids that sported this line of clothing in high school. LOL. Were we that shallow, really?
