That was a brilliant hour of nostalgia! I remember about 95% of those adverts, It was like being 8 yrs old again. I could remember what I was doing and how I was feeling. Life was fantastic in the 80’s. If you wanted to be in an advert, you had to either be very well spoken, or a cockney lol. We had very little money, but we always had fun. Thank you, that’s made me feel great 👍🏼

Life was much better then, kids were not all complaining of being depressed and anxious cause we were out in the streets on our bikes! Now they sit in on their phones and have mental health issues! I'm grateful I grew up in those times, But sad for my children and future grand children! In the 80s we could carry our music around with us and listen on high quality headphones, and we could communicate with people we didnt know with CB radio. We could also communicate with people on the other side of the planet using little red boxes that were on most street corners, And most of all we could still watch shite on the tv.

Your comment just reminded me of a life insurance advert (it was definitely on the radio - I'm not 100% sure about whether it was also on TV), and Ben E King's "Stand By Me" was the soundtrack used for it... It makes the insult of a bad advert 100 times worse when they use a brilliant song on it. I rather miss the late Saturday nights in the 90s when I was jolted awake on the couch by the blasting noise that was "CALL CHATBACK NOW......0891 50 50 50" Those were the days!!!! Haha

People say that things are better now hmm, personally I'd give up all my technology and go back to the 70/80's in a heart beat if I could a much simpler time and people actually cared more about each other, I remember when shops were shut on Wednesday and Sunday not the 50/80hr working week of today just to make ends meet and pay the bills... And so so much more and people think it's better now hmm, more like brain washed into the system .. just my humble opinion.
