Well, you got my sub, that's for sure. I like many of your decisions in this build, including welding the rails in. Saves on hardware costs, and faster to lay out. If they're good rails, they should last awhile. To those who say, "why not just buy a tool cabinet?" Sure, if that fits the bill of a person's shop needs, I'd certainly go that route. However, I challenge anyone to find a reasonably priced cabinet this size with six drawers all the same height. Plus, this one can be made a couple inches wider or thinner in any dimension to suit possible size constraints.
This is amazing! I am a professional automobile technician and I see my coworkers paying thousands of dollars for "professional" tool cabinets. I thought I was being smart by buying a cheaper one that even if I would have to replace every few years it would still be less expensive than even buying a used one from a major tool dealer. However, you have done it right! This is the second video I have seen by you and your craftsmanship and imagination is superb! nothing against the companies I buy tools from, they are a business and they make very high quality tools and tool cabinets. But you building something like this for yourself or even to sell is by far much better than what we can buy for $3,000 to $5,000 here in America. I subscribed to you channel, please keep up the good work, it is inspiring!

Oh, good to see a trusty Powerfix socket set there. As cheap as they are, you know what you get and my powerfix tools never let me down for what I need them.

What a great build. Just wondering how much this cost to put together ? Is it a lot cheaper than buying a ready made tool cart ? Really enjoyed the video, keep 'em coming.
I would have stopped there at 7:50, the detail in this build is awesome. Such a simple household storage system but lots of effort put in to make it flawless
Wow. I have been trying to plan building my own tool box for years and just can’t seem to get the confidence to do it. Mostly planning for the materials and picturing it all coming together. Thank you so much for this video. What gauge steel did you make the drawers out of and what size is your square tubing. If you have plans or a cut sheet I would to see that so I know how much material to order. Thank you again.
Bro this is an insaneeee amount of labor. I know you did this for the "because I can" factor and not to save money because that was just an absurd amount of work. Came out epic bro. Prob on par or better than a Mac tool toolbox in terms build quality. You're a madman. And I say that in the best way possible 🙏
fantastic. i am saving it to my favorite so i can copy it later. The only thing i would change is that you do not need such tall drawers for certain tools so it is wasting space. other than that its wonderful
true, but would be a lot of extra work, he could alternatively have two removable trays (levels) inside each drawer and use the lower trays for tools that you don't use much.
in 60 years your grandson will play with one of his friends in the shed. "whats that?" "grandpas old toolbox" "cool, how did he made it" "dont know, lets look it up in the old archives"
Your prediction of the future is not the same as my version. In mine, 60 years from now the only thing still left standing, post nuclear winter, is that toolbox, and cockroaches.
