I just received my OC Bison boots and am in the process of oiling and breaking in. The quality is above and beyond. The fit was spot on 10.5 = 9.5 x 3E

I trying to decide between these and the forefronts. Hope to make up my mind by the time I wear in my new mahogany 300s.. (super excited for them to get here)
If anyone from Nicks is reading comments, there’s a need for an American made full grain leather unlined 6 or 8 inch height backpacking boot. The sole needs to be stiffer than most general purpose hiking boots. And if you decide to create a winter version of it use closed cell foam between outer and inner full grain leather as the insulator. See the Lundhag Professional II High Opti as an example. The closed cell foam won’t absorb moisture.
I’m curious with the outsole stitching: do the stitches come in contact with the ground? If so wouldnt that be the sole’s weakest point? I’m thinking of purchasing this model but this aspect intrigues me.
Olá. Trabalho excelente! Do jeito que vocês consertam e reformam essas botas, o resultado fica uma verdadeira obra de arte! Como eu devo fazer para comprar os produtos de vocês? Um forte abraço!
@@jkbootsusa I'm a Brannock size 11EE, and just ordered a pair of Drew's Loggers in 10EE... the made in Mexico version. If they fit well, I will be ordering a pair of the OT or Forefronts in Bison. Most likely in the same 10EE as the Drew's.
@@Condor1970if u know your brannock i’d just go a size down n then measure the ball of your foot n go with their guide. I did it and it fits exactly like it’s suppose to (with some extra space infront to compensate when the insole/boot breaks in. Just from what I’ve read i’d never assume/trust that the size would be the same across different manufacturers. Hope this catches you before you order
It is actually hot water that we soak the boots in. What this does is allows the leather to stretch around the last in the wet lasting stage. This helps the boots hold there shape after breaking them in👍
I watch videos of guys surfing. It's just them surfing, maybe some footage of the shore and footage of the boards out of the water. I refer to it as surf porn. This is boot porn. Much love from Spokane.
He did add a shank, i believe it was leather. It was dark in color. Seemed like it was more maliable and thinner than one from other companies. Looked like he was able to form it to the boot and glue it instead of a more rigid one that needs to be nailed down.
@@ktraughb you may be completely correct. I assumed it was leather, but confused why they would use a piece that is dyed and also very malleable. Poron filler makes more sense.

Great to hear you're enjoying the boots Steven 👍
For a man true satisfaction in life is working with your hand and producing something people will admire.
lol, I literally just ordered this boot in this color. Then I found this video. It was like watching someone make my boots. This is awesome.
Probably was your boots
I love the design of these, def the first pair I'd buy from y'all

Very well made product, I was a bit surprised to see the tongue isn’t gusseted all the way up.
This is my daily boot! Wonderful work gentlemen!
how the arch support
@@mendezj1287 it's excellent! I'm used to more flat shoes so it's a noticeable difference in height, but super comfortable and supportive.
@@MBG17686 thanks I appreciate you thanks for information.
@@mendezj1287 You're welcome!
Did yours come with a tongue with no gusset like this or was it fully gusseted like the rest of their boots?
These videos plus Rose Anvil have help me decide what to get. Was thinking 300x but I've landed on black 6" OTs. Ordering the next day or so
did the exact same thing haha, ordered mine little over a week ago, same color and everything.

You are aware the JK is a direct competitor with Nicks, aren't you?

That's a nice boot!
I just orded this pair of boots!
I wonder if the boots fit for hot weather like tropical? where it's constantly in between scorching hot and raining.
How do these stack up in terms of durability compared to something like a builder pro?
Most excellent boots! Can you send them to Australia?
They ship internationally
Great job
Nice.... Very very nice..... Good job......

Why no gusset?
Quedaron de lujo esas botas ❤
A este gran trabajo se le llama calidad.,!
Amazing 👍👍👍👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Appreciate it 👍 🔥
did they blake stitch the heel? i dont remember seeing them stitch it. did the nails do it? im curious.
.. specifically the upper to the midsole.
oh wait, nevermind. their using clench nails which bend back over on themselves. they explained it in another video.
Do these have lots of arch support, like found in a 55 last Logger boot?
You can expect the same amount of arch support with our boot lasts.

I wanna work here just to experience the leather SMELL.
I wanna work here just to smell the glue
Very helpful video! What is the name of the tool you use to scratch the skin (17:11) before applying the glue? Where to buy one?
It is called a leather rougher.
@@benDaku13 Thank you very much!
What's the price, sir?
You can tell he's made a few pairs of shoes before. =)
How much the Price and Shipment to India
Perfeita uma verdadeira obra de arte 👏
What is the stuff that was brushed onto the outsole, towards the end, that gave them the beautiful honey color?
Ink
Love it
Maybe the construction site office

What's the black material at 17:40 that the midsole is attached to?
Looks like a leather shank, common material used in PNW boots. It'll last much longer than steel

How much are these.?
I have those boots and would not wear them to my office... If I worked at a dump, I would..
Perhaps you should find a job where they'd let you wear them into your office.
