    Very fair and accurate. As the owner of the RMAX in the video, After driving your pioneer, I text my dealer and told him to put my name on the first pioneer 1000-5 base he gets his hands on and I'm trading the rmax.

      I suggest you throw some front/rear windshields on that Honda and see how the noise/heat is then. EVERY SxS is quieter and cooler when they don't have windshields.

    • @MarshallMims
      @MarshallMims Год назад +4

      @@MassiveOverkill been there done that. I had full windshields front and rear in my Polaris General as well, and it was much quieter in the cab than the Yamaha. Honda still quieter by a margin. And the updated heat shielding on the 22 pioneer means it doesn't generate heat in the cab like the old ones did either. You should try it! I'll say it like I said in another post today where someone's trying to start crap... These things are not one size fits all. Got to find what's right for you and unfortunately I don't think this is the one for me. Thanks for your input though!

      @@MarshallMims I don't really need to try it as I've seen them first hand and have the testimony of MANY former Pioneer owners who've switched to the RMAX platform. You're one of the very small minority who actually like the Pioneer better than the RMAX, but you do you ;)

      Me 2. I have a Wolverine X2, I bought it brand new (2 years ago) and haven't had any problems besides a ticking sound over 30 mph but I am disappointed in the power and now that Yamaha raised all their prices by like $3-4,000 on the new models I am thinking about the Pioneer 1000. I like the bench seat too. They are much easier to get in and out of.

    I own an rmax4 and ride with and have driven 3 talonx4 and i have no problem keeping up or going the same places. With the talons being more of a pure sport I expected to but no problem yet. Last ride was mostly blacktop a little over 100 miles 45 to 55mph for most of it and no issues. Hondas transmission is nice and of course it is quieter but one of those talons has already been in the shop with low gear out and in the shop currently for the last 3 weeks for clutch issues. If my belt goes out I can change it myself I would be screwed with a honda transmission without a warranty. I like the talons and Honda in general and wouldn't care to buy one if something happens to my rmax but have had nothing but good luck with mine with almost 3000 miles on it.
    Ps the jerkiness goes away in sport mode once you get use to the throttle trail and crawl mode decreases throttle response so it's gonna feel sluggish.

    You can fix the bed rattle for a few cents and probably with stuff laying around your shop. A piece of rubber fuel line cut down the middle and 2 small zip ties on each one on the metal latch completely fixes it.

    If your an avid trail rider and still want a work horse the rmax is by far your best bet to buy. Super fun and comfortable rig. But if your more into a worker rig and want to give up comfortability go towards the pioneer.

    • @brianlb78
      @brianlb78 9 месяцев назад

      I think a lot of people would if Honda did that. That's really what separates them one is going to be more comfortable ride and one is going to be better for random farm/ranch stuff. Although I don't really pay much attention to payload capacity it's not like you're going to load a Pioneer with 1000lbs or a Rmax with 600, if you have that much weight you're putting it in a skid steer or tractor bucker or something 9 out of 10 times.
