Atelier Cologne is famous for making hyper-realistic citrus fragrances - and that’s why I love them... with that being said, I have NEVER smelled and Atelier Cologne quite like this before!
This fragrance managed to blow my mind and captivate my nose at the same time, and in my opinion is a must-try from the house AND one of my new favorites in the line.
Santal Carmin form Atelier Cologne was launched in 2014 under perfumer Jerome Epinette and is classified as an oriental woody fragrance with woody, warm spicy, powdery, vanilla and balsamic accords. According to Atelier Cologne, this fragrance is inspired by big dreams and revolutionary ideas. TOP NOTES include Lime, Bergamot and Saffron while HEART NOTES contain Sandalwood, Guaiac Wood and Musk with BASE NOTES of Vanilla, Cedar & Papyrus.
Santal Carmin comes across as a creamy and delicious vanilla-sandalwood-saffron combination with woody and musky nuances. This fragrance is appropriate for all year around usage, however I feel it fits the autumn season best and performance is adequate - to say it gets the job done.

I have never gotten more compliments in my life from a fragrance in my 43 years like I have from this one. It's definitely a sandalwood scent, but a creamy sandalwood with just a touch of vanilla and an almost sharp leather top note that goes so incredibly well together, as it makes it not too overly sweet or powdery. It's expensive, but worth it.

I’m late but so...I looooove your description, I love your background atmosphere, love your level of enthusiasm. Wearing the fragrance now, keep smelling my wrist, thinking of buying a full bottle. FYI it’s warm, 77 degrees Fahrenheit and the fragrance is very pleasant and not overwhelming at all, LAFS (Love At First Sniff).
I love santal carmin! One of the best fragrances I have tried, really intoxicating, unique and versatile! Crowd pleaser but still has artistic vibe. Nice to hear that you like it too, I think this one is underrated. I ordered a full bottle yesterday, and it may be my signature.
This is also love at first sniff for me from a sample given to me by an SA. I have not done a full multiple test on it yet and unless it will not last on me for at least 5 hours then will definitely be a buy for me. Let me know if you also get a MFK BR 540 and Xerjoff Bouquet Ideale vibe from it.

Oud Saphir is a must sniff. You should give it a try!
People don’t compliment because they can’t smell it after 3-4 hours. Such an amazing fragrance and such a cheap quality.

I love santal carmin I just wish it was stronger.
After 4 hours it becomes soapy like every other cheap soapy fragrance on my skin. The opening is great but the drydown is so bad.
