Im probably in some sort of minority saying this but I think Machina is my favourite Pumpkins album and Ive been a fan since like 1994.

I feel you. It's my favorite Pumpkins and also my straight up favorite album of all time.

I love machina era pumpkins. i mean i love it all. but i loved how they evolved into this thing thing that boarderlined industrial. wish they would have done more. So heavy and yet so melodic. that live in Seoul performace is incredible. Billy looks like a boss from a RE game.

I wish Machina II was physically more accessible than how it is present day 2023. I love both Machina I & II so much and I feel they both compliment each other brilliantly. So hope that there will be a day where both albums are reissued.

Billy has already said that a deluxe reissue is finished but it keeps being delayed. I think it was pushed back because they decided to release Atum first.

Interviewer asking good questions, Billy/Jimmy seem engaged with the questions. I agree, James seems over it. Is it just me, or is Melissa rolling her eyes at most of what billy is saying 🤣

James was miserable at this point.

Yeah, it’s kinda sad. I know there was a lot tension within the band during the Siamese Dream era, with Billy recording pretty much all of the guitar and bass in the studio and all that stuff, but at least when they played live at that time and thru to Mellon Collie, James seemed like he was still having fun in the band, at least while performing live (I direct your attention to the Special Winner Song on the Aeroplane Flies High reissue). But from Adore onward you can really just tell he really was miserable by that point. I’m glad they’ve been able to put that shit behind them in the past two or three years and work together again to make beautiful music together.

@@TheWonderfulBlake Though it’s basically comparing apples and oranges, I feel that it was so stress reliving and life saving for both James and D’arcy to leave the band individually when they did in the late 90s/early 2000’s. For James, it’s wonderful to see him flourishing in the Pumpkins again since he left. For D’arcy, I wish she was back with them but I hope she’s happy and successful in whatever she’s doing since leaving in 1999.

I was about 11 or 12 in 2000 when a friend of mine told me that he had heard on the radio about the Pumpkins breaking up. I didn't believe him at all but eventually found out that it was true...

Even though I loved D'Arcy, the only other bassist (or any other non original band member) that fit was MADM. She was awesome live.

wonder what Jane's addiction would have been like if they would have gone darker/heavier, I felt like they were on there way with the Relapse tour in 97.
