Great interview segment. This really deserves more attention. I loved listening to Richard's stories; he's an amazing guy.
View count is extremely low for such a fascinating episode. Thanks so much!
Dude, an hour ago I didn't even now who Richard Garriot was, but I just stumbled upon the 3prd episode interview first and found it fascinating before I came back and watched this one. I agree. Even without knowing him beforehand or the works he has been involved in beforehand, I found the interviews of him utterly fascinating, some of the most riveting interviews I've seen, had me bursting out laughing, or feel sense of awe or outrage, etc., throughout the whole thing!
MondoManDevout Richard Garriott is an awesome person with great experiences. He has always been someone I look up to as a studying game designer myself.
These interviews were endlessly entertaining - Richard is a great speaker!
Okay, he just admitted to have been basically broke a few times in his adult life. Much respect to this man for his positive spirit and his honesty on the subject.
Thank you Ryan, thank you IGN. Another giant of the gaming history. A most fascinating interview. A joy to watch.
I still love the early 80's to the early 90's . To me that was the golden era for video games and RPGs .
24 comment video with 3,000 views? Man that is weird. Also an 8 million subs channel with only 3,000 views on this video? I don't know about you but these videos are the best thing IGN puts out
agreed
I miss UO, events with Richard were epic!
"Nobody's ever died in space..." RICHARD!! Soyuz 11! You should know this darn it! D= My faith in Lord British is shaken a bit now.
He lives across my street
Make sure to thank him for UO.
They call me the mochi
It would be awesome if Richard Garriott and Sid Meier collaborated on a game.
Where is the second part?
good video
that's a prank bro!
TIL russian technology is everywhere
Idk but my bank told me that HE stole me a 66$ dollar with my own card how?
Wonder if he's related to Anne McCaffrey... hmmm

On what planet do you live?
Going to be interesting to hear from Richard after Flat Earth is known by all, wonder what the excuse will be for lying to everyone?
Wait do you believe the earth is flat? Please tell me you don’t for the love of all the science we have today
I'm sorry but this guy seems like a compulsive liar to me. The way he tells story's reminds me of two people
I know who are compulsive liars. At the very least he bends the truth a bit.
If you want to listen to a real liar, see Peter Molyneux. He IS a true liar who keeps his cool while telling blatant lies, while Richard is just an excited person who gets nervous from time to time, he is not a liar by any means.
All these things he is speaking about are confirmable by other sources. You may just be projecting because you are dissatisfied with what you've done in your own life.
