Teaching my 7 year old lad card games. Just showed him this and he loves it. It's trying now. He asked me to give you two thumbs up, so here they are 👍👍
This game has so much potential. Cards up, card down. You could do no deck reset to limiting yourself to x amount of resets, or give yourself a reset if you collect a pair. Maybe you shuffle after a reset, maybe you dont. Was also fooling around with the card placement and you could make it extremely hard with certain patterens, in other words it doesnt even have to be a pyramid. Even how many cards you pull can make it more intresting, especially with non shuffle resets. Was thinking id try this with two decks and use the card placement to make a campagin style approach. I.e making placement slowly get harder with a speedbump here or there. Very intresting game imo
Wow thank you I never heard of this game.nor have I played it but I wanna learn more card games so I can waste time thank you very much brother God bless you
The 2014 version of the PC game Hoyle Card Games, which I own, adds an extra row of 7 cards below the bottom row of the pyramid, but it is an independent row not attached to the pyramid. The game gives you the option of either just trying to clear the pyramid, or having to clear the extra row along with it for a harder challenge.
Best video I've seen. Takes you step by step. So clear and concise. Just confused once you finish the pyramid but have some waste pile left does that matter or have you finished it
Most people play that it doesn't matter If you have cards left in the pile, but there are varients called all collect or something similar where all cards need to be paired up even your waste pile but that's usually a much harder varient
I just read a variation where you remove all face cards and the number to get is 10 not 13. They called Egyptian (Pyramid) Solitaire. This video is excellent at explaining how to play. Thank you.
I play with all the cards faced down but the last row. And only turn them when there are no cards overlapping (when it is “open”) and I usually don’t start the deck over
I play this game a bit differently: 1. I can combine more than two cards if I'd want to, as long as they still add up to 13. 2. I only go through the pile once. This makes it all the more challenging though.
The only flaw that I can see in the game is when you set up the pyramid you can look at which cards are faced up and know if you can compete the game. For example, if say all #3 cards are faced up, you will not have one in the deck, and if you need the 3 to take out the #10 card you won’t be able to and you know you will lose. You can maybe find ways to free up the 3’s to take out the 10 but if the 3’s are hard to free up then you lose no matter what if you haven’t gone through the deck yet.
No. You can only match cards that have their bottom edges fully freed. You'd have to pair the 2 with another jack either exposed in the layout or from the stock or waste.
For those who have covid like me rn and looking to entertain yourself from isolation I wish you the best of luck. Me personally i have anxiety’s of being locked up and this sucks.
Thank you for the explaination! I do have a question that I just ran into in my own game of pyramid solitaire. I have an open 3 that is laying on a 10. The 3 is the only card on the 10. Can i pair these? Or does the 10 have to be open before the 3 is removed to pair it with the 10? Thanks!
I think it can be more challenging if the waste pile is only gone through once. Also, would it be different if the sum was 14 instead of 13? That way, you can’t just move the King directly to the discard pile. The 7’s will also have less cards possible to pair with
No. Most people play that you just have to clear the pyramid. If you want to play a more difficult version, you could also decide that you also have to clear the waste pile, but that is not commonly part of this game.
I would say no. In the example in the video around minute 3, he says if you can’t make anymore mixes you lose, and the only two cards left are a queen and ace that overlap.
Umm there is one more rule missing like you can only reset the deck twice meaning you can only go through your deck 3 times after that then you cannot reset the deck EVER you'll find out if you play it on Microsoft solitaire collection
I draw three cards and place them on the table instead of one. One seems so easy, cause then you can go through the whole pile and get access to every card in the deck!
That’s not the right way to play. The correct way is to flip the draw pile in 3 cards and playing the top card. After going through the draw pile, you can repeat. Also you can remove a covered card if the card you pick up to uncover the covered card is a match. This way is more difficult.
Honestly pretty trippy game... but who made up the rules that 13 means.. “ok cool” It’s kind of arbitrarily designed to make sense of monotony? Or is this just the lysergic acid talking?

Thank you for this. I had a vague memory of my grandpa playing. ✌️

رغم أن شرحك باللغة الإنجليزية وانا لا أعرف اللغة الانجليزية لكن فهمت اللعبة 👍
Awesome video! Helped me a lot! Thanks!!!
Glad it helped!

With I could like it twice I’m back after 10 months! ✌️
thank you SO MUCH! Normal Solitaire is confusing, and this is better 😊

I was thinking the same thing
I sure miss playing this game on Yahoo parlor games!
If a window is open on a row above an uncompleted row, can we make a combo with that card and get it out too?
At 2:54 couldn't you remove the last two card because they sum to 13? Or is the game lost as soon as the draw pile is exhausted?
Peter Newson i think the ace is locked behind the queen so it cannot be used until the queen is gone
The best explanation, thank you so much
I love your channel so much

That’s where the skill comes in. Knowing the infinite ways to play which card where
I used every card. LUCKY!! 🍀😀
If a card on the first row matches with the card behind it, can I then take them away? or is the first card blocking it…
Thanks for the explanation..if you don’t mind me asking which deck do you use in this video? I love the back design.
Wow! Execelent Thank you godbless
Thanks for explaining clearly how to play this game. 😁👍
How about if a jack is overlapped by a two only? Can you pair that two with the Jack?
No. You can only match cards that have their bottom edges fully freed. You'd have to pair the 2 with another jack either exposed in the layout or from the stock or waste.
This is fun 🎉🎉🎉
I get it except: the waste pile. How many times can you flip it over to go again. Can you flip more than once? Great video.

Looks good

can u make a video 4 aces up solitaire?
Thanks
If some cards from the waste pile remains left do I lose the game?
No. Most people play that you just have to clear the pyramid.

Nice, very well explained
Great tutorial. I was able to set this up right away and start playing.
Can I pull a pair if the open card is on top of the card I want to pair with
So if I lift the one I want makes the one under it open can I use it to make the 13
@@jonhy2x4 I'm wondering the same thing. The game app on my phone wont let me make that move, but I was wondering if its just a bug in the app
Came here to ask the same thing lol sad theres no answer :(
I would say no. In the example in the video around minute 3, he says if you can’t make anymore mixes you lose, and the only two cards left are a queen and ace that overlap.
No. Both cards have to be fully exposed for you to pair them off together.
What if you uncover a card. Can this card and a card elsewhere, not touching, but add to 13 be removed? I don’t need to use the stock pile?
If two open cards in the layout add to 13 then they can be removed. The stock pile doesn't always need to be used.
I like this game
I have never heard of this game, so I am trying it out with my cards.
USD to play this when I was younger. Forgot how to tho
Thank you so muchw
Thanks

thanks
I use the joker to remove any open card I want!
2:19 Don't do that unless the cards are useless.
THANK YOU I was so confused to why this was even possible
I was like, "is there even a reason to do this"
Thankssss
I know how to play; how do I start a game?
You forgot 2 mention it’s mostly impossible to win😂
I don't get how to make it more challenging
Exactly my point

I wonder who comes up with all these games.

Why not play color on color same. Black on black and red on red. Bigger challenge. Mix colors is too easy. And use the pile just once. 10-14-2021
When someone is asking how to play why would you show playing so fast with no explanation?!!! Alit of good you did!! Thanks for nothing!
In my first game I lost with three cards left.
