  • A group of Somali pirates say they have released a Bangladesh-flagged ship and its 23 crew members. The pirates hijacked the cargo ship in March and say they've now received a $7.7 million dollar ransom. Ransom expert Prof Anja Shortland tells The World's Yvonne Yong companies that concede to the pirates' demands set precedents that "look extremely attractive from a Somali point of view for a month's work".
