  • This video tutorial is about Dynamic mesh options available with Fluent. When your fluid domain change, it is required to modify the mesh with a fluid domain. The Dynamic mesh allows for modifying the mesh during the simulation. This tutorial considers the suction and compression event of Piston-Cylinder assembly. The smoothing and layering methods have been used. Finally, pressure contour has been captured during the suction and compression stroke.

    Hi admin, thank you for your helpful video. However, when i follow your tutorial and run calculation, i meet the error: Update-Dynamic-Mesh failed. Negative cell volume detected. Can you tell me how to solve this problem?

      you have not drawn the same as he has drawn in the design modeller (look at the y axis it is in the midpoint)

      You have to change the units to milimeter (if it doesn't work as he did, you can change it under "units..." that should help
