Martha looks very beautiful, but the way she expressed herself, changed the image I had for whatever reason of her and most other acts. She can relate the issues very well, her speech was very exact and refine. Re-discovering a star once again.
Love this awesome lady. I saw her live at the Wigan Casino in the 70's and she was simply amazing, walking through the crowd and singing acapella. A real perfectionist with a golden voice.
I was one of the girls who was in the youth program in Detroit music program in 1985 . Its was so cool. She made the program happen. Thank you for the fun memory.
such strict rules, I would've drop the mic and left. But Martha is very articulate and well spoken... kudos to her for grin and bearing it the whole time.
Martha Reeves - a legend... such a beautiful woman... with such a God given voice and talent... she is still alive & singing at age 80! April 2022 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha_Reeves
But why compare Martha and the Vandellas to The Ronettes? That's like comparing the sweet girl-next-door records of The Shirrelles to The Go Gos. Yes, they are both girl groups but with different music styles and images. They are both great. The Ronettes recorded what Brian Wilson called "the greatest pop record ever made", "Be My Baby".
Yikes… According to statistics and studies, people are better educated today compared to the past. However, I can understand why you miss the glitz and the glamour of Motown artists.
@@ronniebishop2496 More people are educated now, as more tend to have high school, college education and further education going past that. Additionally, you can find interviews of people from any decade speaking like they have sense. Even that in itself does not mean they are fully or highly educated, it just means they know how to conduct themselves during an interview.
@@alwayssearching1203 Yes but graduating from high school or college doesn’t mean they learned anything. A lot of people out on the streets don’t even know who the president of the United States was 20 years ago! I’ve studied demographics for 50 years and I know our country is not as well educated as they were 30 years ago. But those statistics are easy to find.
Class, beauty, and intelligence. Martha hit the trifecta. Love you, girl, now and always.
I absolutely love Martha Reeves. I've been in her company many times and she is always a most gracious and warm lady. Very classy, very intelligent.

She has a natural charm and with the training that Berry Gordy had at Motown with their in house charm school amplified it.

he had a marvelous voice...
forrallofus plenty he?
She comes across quite well. Motown was about class. That's why they didn't care about looking tough like The Ronettes.

Ask this lady some real questions?
the interviewer is a pain in the ass.

Everyone back then we’re classy, black and white everyone, and better educated of course and that’s obvious.

@Soul Vaccination: Why didn't you get on the Ronettes website and let RONNIE know? This is a MARTHA REEVES interview, ok?
